Great looking guitar. Fit and finish are great. Frets are level and smooth. Intonation and action needed a LITTLE work, but thats to be expected. Very accurate bridge and easy to get perfect. Was planning to put Lollar pickups in it, but the stock pickups are surprisingly fantastic. Highly recommended.

This is my first MIA Strat and I can’t believe I waited this long to get one. The quality of this guitar is unmatched. It is perfect in almost every aspect. The fit and finish is amazing. The Yosemite pickups sound awesome. It is just an all around pleasure to play. Since I’ve gotten it I haven’t touched my other guitars and I feel like this is going to continue. If you’re in the market for an affordable, great sounding and playing American Strat this is the one for you!

I own a Mexican strat and this is my 2nd American strat. The one thing I like is they sound completely different both are great. Well made and came ready to go. But there polar opposites when it comes to tone.

This guitar is the perfect do-all studio weapon. Feels, sounds, and plays exactly like you'd expect a classic Stratocaster too, with all the quality you'd expect from an American Fender, but with the added versatility of being able to add the neck pickup into any of the other pickup combinations, a feature that is rarely available on these guitars. add in the stylish 70's style headstock and fantastic finish and you've got the best value for money Fender you can buy. Highly Recommend.

This honey burst guitar is fun to play and at least as fun to look at its beauty. The rosewood fretboard has a distinctly colorful grain that is unique, which makes the entire experience even more exciting. I've been looking at strats for years and am grateful to have received this particular guitar. One question that I have is, at this price point, why doesn't Fender use their patented and heavily advertised bullet strings?

Seriously though this is a killer guitar!Felt amazing right out of the box. I got the honey burst (as you can probably tell by the title of this review) and its absolutely beautiful. I love these pickups and the neck feels perfect and super comfortable. It's my new number 1! I love it so much I'm not even gonna complain about fedex lol. The people at American musical supply were amazing and helpful as always. I'm a very happy customer!

I've owned an Elite Strat. I picked up this Performer strat and I believe it plays as well as my old elite or perhaps better. This is just a beautiful and reliable strat but their circuit upgrades (greasebucket) and the playability are amazing.
I really believe that this performer at this pricepoint, makes buying a more expensive strat an aesthetic decision, because this baby feels and sounds as good as the rest of them. 2 years in, it's my go-to Strat now.

The Strat I received is flawless. I might have to adjust the action and whatnot to my specs, and the fretboard is bone dry, but I have no sincere complaints. Dare I say it: it would seem this American Performer has higher quality control than many Am. Prof's I've seen in store! [I've seen ones with weird finish flaws, like portions of the back of the neck being unfinished) I really love the push-in vintage styled tuners, and the push pull for the neck pickup in any position (buttery smooth to trigger). The only true downside is the fact it comes with a gig bag and not a hard case. I remedied this by buying a used Am. Prof case online, but realize that part of the reason a Performer is cheaper is BECAUSE it doesn't come with a hard case. Fantastic American instrument.
I really want to give American Musical major props, they have a great, speedy system. And hey, as of writing this, they were the only ones with this model in stock. No more big box stores for me if I'm buying brand new.

For about $400 less, this guitar is a solid Stratocaster with excellent sound, feel and incredible tone. It’s beautiful too!
Why is it cheaper?
You get a gig bag instead of the hard shell case
The fretboard isn’t conditioned and oiled ($5 fix)
It may require pro setup, or adjustment to the bridge, , saddles, or truss rod; again this is a minor detail in the long run you end up with a monster guitar.
The neck is C-shape and is a little chunkier than your standard strat.

I am NOT a guitar player!!! I am however a song writer and I need to be able to play a little guitar so that I can write songs for it correctly. I purchased this guitar specifically for the traditional 'Strat" sound. It delivers!! It's beautiful to behold for certain but it sounds more amazing than I thought it was. It probably needs a set up on it because the action is a bit high and it doesn't stay in tune as consistently as I would think it should But I would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone looking for an American made instrument for a great price that plays and sounds great!!!

Just got this Performer in honey burst with rosewood neck.This is the best Strat I have ever played and I’ve played a lot of them.If you are looking for that glassy 50s Strat sound this one may not be for you ,which is why I love it.Its not muddy but warm and the tone controls actually work..The pickups can go from jazz to blues and classic rock.The pull switch gives you the option of adding the neck pickup with the bridge which gives you a fuller sound especially when distorted.Fit and finish are great and the 70s headstock along with the vintage tuners(which work very well) give it a great classic look .I don’t give 5 stars because the gigbag is really cheap and I thought I could have been a lot nicer But that’s really my only complaint.The neck feels great , not too slim not too thick .Bends are really easy.Ive played the AMERICAN Pro and to be be honest with you ,I like these pickups much better.I had an American Special in the past but this thing is light years better for not that much more money.You will love this Strat!

I really like the Yosemite pickups! The push/pull tone knob, adding the neck pickup to the bridge and middle is a plus feature. Also, the RW/RP middle pickup is a nice feature to have.

The product is beautiful, it is immaculate. I bought 4 different guitars from a competitor and not 1 had even close to the same quality. I wanted American made and that's what I got. American made fender from American music supply. Cant beat that.

Probably the best sounding pickups in a Strat and that's including Custom Shops. Finally Tim Shaw took away the step magnets and streamlined the look and sound. Guitar plays and sounds with a perfect balance. I hope these pickups find their way into the Stratocaster Standards.

I am all about this guitar. I bought the honeyburst, and I am thrilled. The guitar sounds great on my 1x12 Tube, and the action was set up perfect right out of the box. I play a wide range of music and I am glued to this guitar. my only complaint is that it did not come with a Hard Shell case, so I bought one on my own.
