Very Playable. Great neck, very comfortable to play. Solos and Rythms...Clean or Distortion...with pedals or straight into the stack, it plays like a dream and stays in tune very well with the stock Fender strings. Excellent build quality. It seems when the import is the only option offered by Fender for a reissue that factory takes special pride in building those instruments. Mexico in this case did an exceptional job. Great build quality, fit and finish. Nobody does black like Fender. Looks great on stage and gigs well. Definitely worth stepping up to a hard case when you can...the gig bay's nice, and a nice thought...but if your gigging this guitar, get a good case, fender strap locks and a good strap. Will probably by a second one...can't vouch for it more than that !!! Buy one, you'll enjoy it and be glad you did.

What a great guitar. The wide range humbucking pick ups are loud, dark and heavy....they are not Seymour Duncan but really good bang for your buck. The guitar finish is amazing, I was between this one and an Epiphone Casino and the Casino's finish was so bad, my dream for that guitar ended when I found out how terrible is built today. The paint in the f holes looks like is done by a 5 year old.
Great sound, great looks, can't complain.

I was excited to see the box delivered to my doorstep, only to unbox it and find that the packing from AMS was very well done! Took me a while to get through to it, no blemishes or scratches it was in perfect condition. Although I have no amp, I wanted to see what the humbuckers sounded like through a DAW and the sound was AMAZING to say the least. I am very pleased with this purchase will be making another from AMS. I would highly recommend this product to anyone on a budget who is a Fender fan.

It is a nice guitar for the price. A good road guitar that can get dropped and beat up.I have no idea what is going on in Mexico but the set up was horrible, really horrible.the fit and finish was just sloppy. There was 1/8" play in the neck pocket. There is a reason why I bought this guitar. I have two others, an original 72 and an american deluxe that are getting destroyed. For $800 I did not expect a lot but more than I received . Garbage gig bag too. Regardless of what people say, the pups are ok. Great guitar for somebody moving up from a standard or just wanting a great looking guitar.

No Convex adjustment on bullet truss rod!

I think Fender needs to go back to the drawing board and put in their bi-flex truss rod.
I own over 115 guitars, and this has got to be one of the biggest mess ups I have seen NO CONVEX ADJUSTMENT, ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????????
The over all quality of the guitar is very good, if I could only get by the one way ONLY truss adjustment; where are we, in the dark ages?
The guitar has a great feel to it. Not heavy, and has a fast neck. Now if you could only adjust it!
Still working on getting the neck adjusted.
Great finish
Not a great value considering the dark ages truss rod.
Still working on it, let's see what the micro adjustment gets me.................

Your general opinion of this product.
Great guitar. I bought a dent and scratch one. AMS claims minor blemishes in finish. The finish on this one was way more than minor blemish. Total goofed up finish. WT EFF AMS? If I wasn't on an overseas military base, I'd send it back right away... I guess I'll just use this one and not give a ripp if it gets dinged and scratched...

The finish on this one was horrible. I've had one of these before, and it there was nothing wrong with it. This must have been a factory reject. AMS sold it as scratch n dent. I looked at the info on this which says "minor cosmetic blemishes"... This was a total goofed up finish. R U Kidding AMS?

for the price...nothing can match it...i play a lot of metal and a lot of blues and this guitar is perfect for any of those!
