I'm surprised with the quality of the guitar, Nice back Satin Neck and frets polished, solid bridge, great pickups and pots, the only upgrade I'm gonna do is Locking tuners and bone nut, for a better tune stability.

This guitar has so many different tones that suit whatever you’re playing. Whether it be country, rock, blues etc. you can achieve whatever sound you’re looking for. Also with a guy like me, I have smaller hands but with the slim neck of this guitar I can play without any issues.

At first I was a little skeptical, reading the made in Mexico reminded me of my Mexican strat that I wasn't a fan of. But man this thing has some power. Put out more sound then my $800 Les Paul in terms of crunch. Plan on using this and my "meme-fully dreaded" Fusrite Scarlet to record my first metal track soon.
Yes, this one is anywhere from twangy Red Hot Chili Peppers to heavy A tuning chugs. Very impressed!

I have had 6 strata. I had a Mexican Strat I loved it.I have had the American and 2 I loved and the Mexican I loved.This player is no way as good.Its looses it's sound at low volume and sounds cheap.It came set up like a hundred dollar Wahlmart guitar. What ever they changed to improve this model does not translate to a better guitar.Not Happy at all with this one.

The feel , the weight , the sound, and the look are all there . Needed to lower the action and put on a new set of strings . My only complaint: I ordered the Guitar Apr. 20th , didn't receive the Guitar until July 3rd. Assuming an issue with the Pandemic and lack of workers in the Factory as well as parts , this caused the delay . No fault of AMS , but I have to take away a star for the delay . definitely happy with the purchase though.

I love the guitar. It is my first fender but will not be my last. The tidepool color is much more vibrant in person, the pictures done do it justice. The one con I have is the set up. It was almost unplayable from the factory had need a trip to the luthier to get it in playing shape.

Got the Buttercream. The pictures don’t do it justice. It really is a great looking guitar. The guitar arrived just like I was told. Opened it up and plugged her in. WOW !! Right out of the box a true Fender sound. Ran through some blues,rock,country and even a little jazz. This guitar really stood tall. The action was a little high for me. Took care of this and she’s comfortable playing anything I’m fooling with at the time. Don’t want to put her down!! Get one, you will be glad you did!!

Ive purchased about five guitars from AMS but this is the first I wanted to review. I have the butterscotch and I love it! I wanted something a little different but always thought a strat with anything other than single coils was a sin. I was completely wrong! The hb in the bridge adds a thickness I was missing.Not overbearing and still clear and articulate.The finish on mine was flawless.Setup out the box was perfect, no adjustment needed. I believe it's gonna be a while before I touch any of my other guitars. If you're on the fence, grab it!

This guitar is one of the best deals you can get on a guitar. The neck is amazing. The whole guitar is great. I think I may eventually throw in some noiseless pickups or maybe ill just replace the bridge pickup and throw in a humbucker and make it a HSS. But this is a great guitar. You will not be disappointed.

My first Mexican made stratocaster and I enjoy playing it everyday. This guitar is the best guitar in this price range hands down. Finish is great, the metal is decent, the only ok parts are the tuning machines with a 14:1 ratio and the bridge which uses low quality metal. The nut is also a bit unfinished and not a fan of the "synthetic bone". However all of that is serviceable. My only gripe is the plastic they put near the truss rod access hole. Adds a sense of cheapness to an otherwise beautiful guitar. My 2008 American standard is still a much better made guitar, but that guitar costs $1200 12 years ago. Fenders are great playing, classic design, and best of all reliable with low maintenance. The pickups are great and the electronics are also great. Pick guard feels a little cheap due to the cut being so rough. Highly recommend, this is a great instrument with great materials.

It definitely has that classic strat sound. It seems setup fairly well out of the box, as I have made no adjustments to it and it still overall plays really well. I have no complaints, the maple fretboard really glides. I'm using a very, very bad combo amp for practice until the Waza Air headset arrives, and for the first time since I've had this amp, the sound coming out of it is pretty decent. I can't wait to get this thing running into better sound quality. It holds tune pretty well despite my occasional abuse of the tremolo.
Overall, for the money you're spending, it's an excellent choice if you're looking for a strat but can't go out for one of the high end strats. Not to mention shipping was free through AMS and it literally arrived 29 hours after placing the order (which I did pretty late at night so it could have been less had I done it during the day).

As a bass player for many years, I’ve picked up the acoustic guitar from time to time and now I dived into the electric guitar world. Let me say I spent a lot of time review the squire versions but I am glad to have purchase this. Great smooth neck caught my eye. The action is great, could use a professional set up. It sounds amazing and so much sound to ply with. It is ready to go right outside the box. I would get another one but with a humbucker pick up.

My second Fender but my first Strat and I'm very impressed! AMS said it was a blem, but I couldn't find anything wrong. I've had about a dozen guitars over the years but this is the easiest to play of them all. Great action, appearance and tone through a Fender tube Deluxe Reverb. The price was a bargain and the delivery and service from AMS is exceptional. My third guitar from them with one more on order. The Strat is absolutely my favorite Strat in my collection, it’s also my 1st Maple neck Strat. It’s beautiful, plays and sounds amazing! I did have to do a minor setup as expected but that was a breeze.

The Fender Stratocaster, FEN 0144502 not only plays great but the color coordination between the body, pickguard and the neck are what caught my attention right away. I have received a many really great comments on this guitar. Although I have only just received it a few days ago, I just can't put it down. The sound quality and ease of playing are excellent. My fingers just glide across the perfectly spaced fret board.
Even though the "Capri Orange" stands out, it does not matter what your color preference is, the Player Stratocaster is a great choice at a great price.

Guitar is a great buy. Fit and finish is real good. On mine, out of the box, had a tad too much neck relief. Took me a few minutes to adjust. Played great after adjusting. I have Ibanez, ESP, Yamaha, other Fender electrics and it frets and plays as good as any of them. Being single coil it doesn't drive the front end of an amp as much. But that's why I like it . Using it with a tube screamer it sounds very good. Good gain, but notes are distinct and clear. Really like the color and finish....Great guitar for the money.

I had never owned a Fender before but I have always loved the strat sound. I decided to take the plunge but held off for a long time not sure if the player series could really deliver at that price. Well, it does! I couldn't be happier with it! My other guitar is a hand made custom by Greg Curbow so I was afraid that this guitar wouldn't stack up but I was pleasantly surprised. If you are on the fence, go for it. Great purchase.

This new Fender Player Stratocaster is as close as you will get to a 90's era USA Strat. The 22nd fret is welcome and the 2 point trem is beyond useable and accurate. The new alnico pickups have a more open and airy traditional Stratocaster tone and combined with the bridge pickup tone control you have far more tones available than from its predecessor. The new choice of colors and more models are fantastic as well. Something here for every player in the Player series. Fender knocked it out of the park with these and gave you all the upgrades you would do, with little cost. As always AMS supplied a fine instrument in a fast manner and at a price that blew out the competition. Thank you for a great guitar that will bring years of joy to myself and my children.

its a really cool guitar. plays nice (after setup) and is a joy to play. i gave it four stars for two reasons. 1 the setup from the factory was absolutely horrid. the bridge was tilted waaay foreword, the action was pretty high, and the bridge saddle radius was a little off. so if you buy this guitar more than likely be ready to give it a FULL setup from a to z. 2 my brand new sealed guitar from the factory has a big fat ding in the head stock, WHAT? yep, looks like more than likely the factory person that doesn't know a thing about setting up a guitar whacked the head stock on the corner of the bench or something. it cracked the finish and exposed the raw wood. and to top it off it has the inspection passed card in the box. absolutely unacceptable fender. especially for a $650 plus guitar. that really sucks and im really bummed out about it. other than that this guitar rocks.

I've been looking at the Fender Stratocaster Player Series for the past month and I've read that the reviews...etc. I've been lead to believe that if a Fender guitar is made in Mexico it's an OK guitar for the money but you really need to buy an American made Fender (Stratocaster) if you really want a quality guitar! In my opinion, nothing could be further from the truth!
When my Fender Stratocaster Player Series arrived via Fed Ex I soon learned that the changes Fender made to their Mexican Fender Startocaster are amazing!
I looked at a video review about Player Series Strat and the guy stated the action on the neck was too high and the neck itself just didn't feel like the American Strat but the guy was dead wrong, in my opinion! When I opened the box the Player Series Stratocaster I purchased was ready to play and play it does! The string action is perfect and I neck feels awesome to me and it's easy to play! I highly recommend the Player Series Stratocaster!

I already had a Mexican Standard HSS in sunburst and really wanted a traditional SSS configuration so I bit the bullet! You can really tell the difference between the ceramic pickups and the Alnico pickups....hard to decide which one to pick up now.

I had been looking at this Player series Stratocaster in Buttercream for a long time, and I had played one enough in stores to get a feel for it. Afterfinally pulling the trigger and purchasing it, I must say that it was a FAMTASTIC choice. Good price or not, these Player series guitars are amazing on their own merits, line just happened to come with a pretty low action and I’ve got no complaints about it! I’ve owned American Special strats as well as a Clapton Signature, and this is right there with them in terms of feel, sound, and playability. You NEED to try one, you won’t be disappointed.

I love this thing. I haved owned 25 plus stratocaster over the years, this is one of my favorites. Great quality control. The 2 point tremelo stays in tune well, I use it on a regular basis. In my opinion this is the best buy on a new Strat out there.

I've had many more expensive guitars but, I am extremely happy and impressed with these new Mexican made player series. This is honestly one of the best guitars I have ever owned. I bought the Buttercream and it is a very classy looking guitar setup was basic out of the box but very playable. I took it too much luthier and now this guitar plays beautifully. This one is never going anywhere. I even purchased a top of the line Fender hard case for it...it deserves it!

Plays great ! Great feel ! Stays in tune intonation great ! Started playing right out of the box , only thing that threw off my excitement was when I unplugged my other Mexican strat “a 2000”and plugged up my new one it seemed like it just lost the sound , power and tone .... don’t know what the issue is yet , but it made me sad ?? kinda bummed me out

This guitar is a beast. I love the new voice of the pickups and the. Genuine Fender Strat tone that is smooth as butter through a Fender amp. I have the version in Tidepool and it looks as good as it sounds. The 2 point trem system is a nice upgrade. The re-wired tone knob is nice but I like the full tone bridge pickup, so that upgrade is not as useful to me. This thing will be staying with me for a long time!

Truly love this guitar. Bought 2 of the Polar White with a maple neck guitars. Such a sweet playing & looking guitar. 10 years ago I bought 2 American Standard Stratocasters new for a grand each. Let me tell you this guitar plays & sounds as good as those 2. Also bought the Fender deluxe gig bag with it. Very good purchase also. Thanks Fender & AMS you guys rule!

For years I've wanted an American Pro series Strat for its playability, tone, and quality. I no longer need it, the Player Series has met those expectations with the upgrades. Great Job Fender! I have the Tidepool color, looks like a classic car color. It turns heads everywhere I take it.

This is an exceptional value on a Strat. I ordered the buttercream. Feels and sounds fabulous. Has the second tone pot wired for the bridge pup. I would advise a string change/setup and you will be set to jam. Out of the box, fret edges are smooth and setup was decent. Your basic Strat with a tasteful tone pot mod and upgraded pickups. For the money invested, I feel this is a worthwhile purchase. Cranked through a tube amp is pure bliss!
