Before getting this guitar, I was playing a Squire Bullet Strat I got back in 2009-10 and while it got the job done it wasn't the best, especially the Whammy bar. I got this guitar about two weeks ago, and it blows my Squire out of the water! With this guitar, it's much easier to use the Whammy bar.
One thing I thought was odd was the changes made to the tone knobs. Growing up, I always thought the tone controls were for the neck and middle pickups and the bridge had no knob for it. I wasn't expecting the pickups to work the way they do on this guitar. I'm not complaining, I'm just surprised.
The neck is glossier and feels smoother than the Squire, and the added 22nd fret gives a little more space to play. I'm also digging the colors of the guitar. Pau Ferro neck + silver body finish = cool as all heck!
All in all, the Fender feels, plays, and looks cooler than my old Squire. It's my new favorite guitar! And it could be yours too!

Got the Strat in today and I may have or may not have called out of work to play this beauty today. I love the neck and finish it’s really easy to play and has an amazing smooth feel. I was skeptical because some reviews on YouTube talked about the frets being a little pokey when moving up and down the neck, I don’t notice it at all it’s perfect. The tones you get out of it sound great! Has that classic fender sound and vibe. Did a little adjusting to it and it’s exactly what I was looking for in regards to sound and playability. The guitar came in 2-3 days very quick delivery! I love American Musical Supply and their service is awesome!

I’ve bought a player series tele and strat and both were absolutely phenomenal right out of the box. I can’t recommend them enough especially for newer players. Really checks all my boxes in feel, playability, and quality which is what we all hope to have from leading brands like Fender. I’m very pleased to say the least.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into when choosing this fender, it was a gift for my boyfriend. All I had to go off of was he wanted a white fender so that’s what I got! This guitar is beautiful and sounds even better than it looks!

This guitar was my first Stratocaster , and I wish I had purchased it sooner, this guitar sounds thick and clear, and the pickups are very sensitive to hard or light picking, overall this guitar inspires good playing and is built to last!!

This guitar is easily one of the hardest working guitars fender has released, it has withstood all the abuse thrown at it. The guitar is simply well built and not much else can compare at this price range.

I've owned several Strats over the years (90s MIJ, 96 American Standard, 2000 American Standard, 2014 American Standard) and this Silver Player series is the best one yet.
The neck is fantastic and Pau Ferro fingerboard looks and plays great. The silver finish is amazing, as soon as I saw it I had to have it.
Having a tone control for the bridge pickup is something I wasn't expecting but have since come to love. When you have your 5 way switch to the middle and bridge pickup, turn down the tone on the middle and turn up the bridge. You'll get these cool out of phase tones that really come to life when driven through an overdrive pedal.
I highly recommend getting a professional setup done, out of the box the guitar was a mess. Everything that could be adjusted had to be adjusted, and I'm lucky to know a great professional guitar tech that was able to get the setup dialed just how I like it.

Great Start outta Mexico. 22 frets a big plus. Pickups are good. Finish is good. The frets on the treble side of the neck aren't finished and are sharp as all get outs. A little filing will do it. I'm going to keep this.

This is the real deal. The neck is great. It plays great. A step above the Standard model it replaced. Improved pickups and the better 2 point trem. This is a great guitar. The pau ferro fretboard is really nice.

volume pot would go from 10 to near 0 with very minor twist, but after a few minutes playing and volume adjustments it started to work fine. Setup was very close out of the box. Other than the volume issue love it
