Product Review Very high quality bass guitar at an affordable price. Plays better and is more comfortable to play than other $2K+ basses I've had the pleasure to play. I would highly recommend the Geddy Lee jazz bass guitar.

Great bass, might need some work out of the box.

Product Review Price is a little high for the out of box quality. Neck was bowed, action was poor, and fret edges are a little sharp. All of these things are factory flaws, and pretty easy to adjust yourself. It is an awesome bass, and AMS got it to my doorstep in 2 days. I recommend it, but be prepared to put a little work into it straight out of the box.

Product Review I love my new Geddy Lee. The slim neck on this makes playing it feel unlike any other bass I’ve played. The tone out of the pickups is great. Have to admit one of my favorite features is the black block inlays.

Product Review I'd been wanting a Fender Jazz bass since I was a kid. Started off playing on a Squier P-Bass Special and I always liked the Jazz neck. Better than I expected. The tone is bright and cuts nicely. The neck is fast and the body is comfortable and not too heavy. Set up was also pretty good coming out of the box. Definitely going to be buying another Fender through AMS next year or so. Definitely met and exceeded my expectations. I haven't put it down since getting it. Cant wait to leave work and jam on it. Awesome.

Product Review Incredible instrument! Such an iconic replica of Geddy's number 1. Fell in love with this instrument after playing one a few years ago, and was finally able to put the finances together for it! I would have given it a 5-star, but mine came with a small blemish in the paint on the body, and a highly noticeable scratch - almost scar like - in the finish on the neck that spans the entire length of the 11th and 12th fret near the E string. Not a deal breaker for me, but pretty disappointing considering this is my most expensive bass or guitar; I have 9 in total.

Product Review I totally enjoy my new Fender Geddy Lee Bass! The best feature for me, being a novice player, is the thin neck which makes it easier to play. From the color to the sound, its all awesome! I have only had it for a few months but it exceeds all of my expectations and would recommend it to anyone!!

Product Review As a touring and studio studio musician I am thrilled to have a bass at this caliber. The sunburst design is breathtaking. The action feels and sounds great right out of the box. This is the first time I have ever had a bridge that looks and feels the way this one does. It really ties the aesthetic together! When you have all of the tone knobs up you get a really hot and bright bass sound that cuts through records. This can easily be adjusted on the knobs or in post cutting off everything above 4K. The neck is slimmer than most bassses I have played, which makes it super easy to glide up and down this bass. The soft case it comes with isn't too special and I will be upgrading to a hard case since I take it to the studio with me (will eventually gig on it). I've had it for a few months now and it can be heard on countless records coming out of the SF Bay Area. It meets and over exceeds all expectations I had set for it. It also sounds great using the old sponge trick to get the motown down you traditionally hear on a P Bass. Anyone looking to get a Fender Jazz, I would highly recommend the Getty Lee model.

Product Review Ok. My only complaint was when the bass arrived, I had to set It up, I tweaked the neck and lowered the action. After a did that the bass was perfect. Great tones and fantastic action. I gigged with the bass immediately. She did well.

Product Review I have had her about a month at this point. The fret ends were pretty rough for the price. The gig bag is pretty floppy and unprotective. Overall quality is just O.K. for the price. Finish is quite nice and the electronics are great as-is. Other than the fret ends, the rest of the fit was quite nice, and representative of other MIM's that I own.

Product Review This MIM Geddy Fender bass is very playable. It has amazing action out of the box such that I have not felt the need to get a professional setup. The thin neck fits my big hands just right. The fit and finish is incredible. Beautiful craftsmanship. I am pleased that I didn’t spend the extra cash for the MIA version. I love it. Buy one!

Product Review I absolutely love this bass! The neck is the slimmest that I have found on any instrument, making it extremely fast, but it does not sacrifice on sustain at all. Like any Fender jazz bass, the body is comfortable, and the pickup configuration makes it possible to dial in just about any tone.

Product Review I ordered my "Ged" from AMS about a month ago. I unwrapped it and was blown away, first by the overall look of the guitar. It was absolutely gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice. From the inlays on the maple neck to the pitch blackness of the finish, I was impressed. Secondly, the tone of the guitar. After tuning it up to pitch, I could hear this punchy clang that I treasure as a bass player. The low end was fat, but the mids and highs were bright and popping. I fell in love with this bass before I even plugged it up into my amp. It is truly a tone monster. It sounds great dry or saturated with gain. It's a beast. It's a rather heavy bass, but the wieght of the tone is amazing! Would suggest this bass to anyone looking for a quality instrument at a nice price point. I didnt buy this guitar because I was a Geddy Lee fan. I bought it because it was everything in a bass I wanted.

Product Review Everything was exactly like the description. Excellent tone and as usual came quickly and was well packaged. For a musician without endless funds, and is a godsend. I'm recording my first album with all the instruments I need. I thought it would be years but I was able to start right away.

Product Review While I respect Rush, I'm not necessarily a huge fan or anything. I bought this because it was a scratch/dent special, I have a guitar collecting disorder and I'm always in search of the elusive perfect tone. Don't let the "MIM" thing scare you. The initial quality on this thing nearly flawless in every way. I couldn't detect any issues except for a small rough spot on back of the headstock that I can feel, but not see. *This thing is PERFECT for me. I've always been more of a guitarist, and the neck is so thin and fast! * The single coil pickups are noiseless (when using both simultaneously). I actually swapped out the bridge for Seymour Duncan stacked humbucker and put the original right back in because these single coils ROCK. They have a crispy clicky-clank high end, the low thump and sweet mid growl. * cons: tuning keys really suck. So hard to keep in tune. I replaced them with Hipshot HP2 27:1 keys immediately.

Product Review I couldn't be happier with this instrument. The way it feels when you play is difficult to put into words. The best I can come up with is: "butter baby; pure butter." Smooth as silk. The range of tones you can get is astounding. The bottom line is this bass is fun to play, and makes practice a joy again.

Product Review So much fear over Mexican made Fenders these days, but I actually think this one is build better and plays better than my old Japanese made Geddy Lee bass. Sunburst finish is flawless on this one, fret edges are smooth, stays in tune. Bad ass bridge, block inlays, and an super thin neck for less than a grand. Hard to best that. The thin neck is smooth, comfortable, and fast to get around on. The Geddy has a really cool midrange growl to it when you dig in with both pickups on full. It can get quite P bass like with the neck pickup featured. A little too thin and nasally with the bridge pickup soloed for my tastes however. Sunburst finish is flawless on this one. Looks great with the black pickguard. Out of all the guitars and basses I own, everybody seems to be drawn to the look of this one. You are getting a whole lot of bass for less than 900 bucks. Here's the only negative I can give the bass. The action was horrendously high out of the box, and it's a real pain to adjust the truss rod on these as you'll have to take the pickguard off to do it. Also, I had to order an allen wrench to adjust the string height as the ones Fender provides do not fit the smaller Bad Ass Bridge.
