Product Review My first real Fender in over 20 years and I am completely satisfied. No, it's not made in the U.S.A. but, considering the $600 price difference, I'm thrilled! The build quality is outstanding. You can tell the difference between this and a top-of-the-line Squier. Fender is doing great work with these Mexico-made basses. It plays nicely and has that lovely P low-end thump that you want from a Precision. It's not a "Boutique" bass, Precisions were never meant to be that. It is a meat-and-potatoes bass that never lets anyone down.

Product Review I enjoy playing this bass as much as playing my American Professional. I adjusted the action by lowering the bridge saddles a bit. The neck was already straight and the intonation was perfect.

Product Review Fender is an amazing company who gets what good sound is (even on low end of $$), what comfortability means and the quality is well beyond the expectations of what you get for your buck.

Product Review The new Player series P bass is exactly how a P bass should sound and feel. For the longest time there was always something off with the MIM Standard series P basses with the ceramic pickups, lower end electronics and varying neck carves where they always fell just a little short or the true P bass thing. The new Player series with the Alnico V pickups nail the 90's-2000's American Series P bass thing. I was not of fan of the MIA series going graphite rods, changing the neck carve and experimenting with the v mod pickups. If you want to get to the roots of what a P bass should be, this thing is excellent and you should try it. Pros; Alnico V pickups, upgraded pots so the tone knob actually does something throughout its travel. Traditional P Bass neck shape. Put some flats on this thing and you will get motown tone for days, put rounds with a pick and you will cut right through the mix. Cons; Had a little fret sprout when I got it. I do my own setups so this is not an issue for me.

Product Review The build quality, fit & finish and looks are impressive. I'm more of a Jazz Bass person and this is the first P Bass that I've ever owned. It took me a while to warm up to the tone but now, I'm with it! Great value at it's price point. Now to add me some flatwound strings!
