Looks great, but out of the box the action was 3.5mm, and when I dropped it below 2.5 the high fees buzzed. The next had a significant dip in the middle that was easily fixed with a truss rod adjustment and now it plays as good as it looks. Fret work is excellent, tl:dr it’s great after a set up

Purchased a Fender Player Series Jazz Bass. This quickly became by favorite bass! Excellent setup out of the box, just a few tweaks to match my preferences. It’s plays and sounds amazing. The buying experience was the best part! I called into Customer Service to complete the purchase and they are simply amazing! So friendly and helpful and fast as well. I usually order online but I enjoyed the experience so much I think I call in from now on. Thank you!

I've had this bass for just less than a year. Recorded a couple of songs on it play live with it and love the maple fretboard and the cream color. Its everything I've wanted within a bass. I play reggae and run a MXR DI to a Rumble 500 with flatwound strings. I love the way this sounds.

First of all, I don’t know how in the hell this was delivered so FAST!!! I ordered this bass on Thursday late afternoon and it arrived via fed-ex early Friday morning!!!!! Awesome! As far as the bass itself is concerned, this player series is smoother than butter. Very little set up needed right out of the box. Can’t wait to order an upgraded amp for this puppy!!!

Best bass I've ever player hands down incredible action and smooth neck with an incredible tone blows a p bass out of the water. Buy this bass you wont regret it. AMS has made it very easy for me to expand my instrument collection. Great service great payment plans 5 stars across the board.

This is an incredible bass for the money. The frets are smooth, the neck feels right, and the pickups are pretty hot. The finish is excellent.
I would recommend this bass to anyone looking for a mid-level bass!

I know everyone is like buy Fender American, but these fender player Jazz basses are the REAL DEAL!!! Right out of the box...great set-up, great sound!!! It is very powerful, loud and has lots of headroom. The build quality is almost on par with the Fender Pro Jazz! Its has a great quality build! I love the new colors!!! I got the buttercream one, and it is very pretty!!!!

This bass is awesome! You can't beat the price. It has punch with precise and clear attack! The fret board is fast and smooth. Was set up great right out of the box. Frets were a little sharp on the edges but other wise show ready from the get go!! Top quality bass at a great price.

The new Fender Player series jazz bass I ordered really impressed me. I have been playing bass for nearly 30 years, and decided to give this new jazz bass series a chance...and I am glad I did. The quality is outstanding and the new pickups are light years ahead of the previous standard jazz bass pickups. Everything from the construction and badging on the back of the bass to the finish on the neck exude quality, and the sound is fantastic. I am so glad that Fender has finally seen the light and realized that companies like Sire and Ibanez were killing them in the $500-$800 bass guitar range. Players like myself who love the fender jazz are glad you heard us and decided to deliver a bass that while not above $1K, we could still play and be very proud of. Thanks a million!

Fender has faced a lot of competition lately. The Mexican standard was no longer the standard, and they felt it. A lot of companies would panic and try and reinvent the wheel, but not Fender. They knew they had a good thing; it just needed an update to stay on top of the food chain. Enter the player series. They opened up their color palette, which is nice, but by and large it’s still a Mexican standard. Not very exciting.....until you plug it in. By far the biggest difference is the new pickups. Take your usual passive Jazz Bass pickups, but give it a bottle of whiskey, slap it in the face a few times and send it to the bar. That’s what you get here: A louder, more aggressive, jazz bass tone with a little more ‘character’. Overall construction had no flaws. No sharp frets, fast and thin neck, tight fit. In other words, it’s a Fender Jazz....but better, louder, and more aggressive. If you love the jazz bass tone but have been craving a modern set of balls strapped to it, BUY THIS BASS.
