I used it for the first time out since back surgery. Not as heavy as my Fender Twin. Soundsa great with any Fender Gibson or Gretsch. Used my Sho-bud pro one steel and the sound was just as sweet. Little break up....

A classic amp coupled with a classic speaker equals a winner!

Product Review
If you are familiar with the litany of guitar amplifiers that have been used in studio, in clubs etc for the past 70 years, then you are familiar with a Fender Deluxe Reverb.
What can I say that hasn't been said? It is one of the classic hallmark "Fender sounds" and this amp speaker combo do a great job of recreating that sound.
The speaker will need some breaking in time; playing it with the bass all the way up and treble to taste helps to speed up the break in process.
Of note, American Musical (AMS) is without a doubt one of the best companies to deal with and do business with on the internet. Prices are fair, customer service is friendly. Shipping is super fast. I have been working with them for years and have had nothing but happy dealings with them.
At this price and special run color combination you can't go wrong!

Beautiful Amp, but Breaks Up EARLY

Product Review
The limited edition blonde with the wheat grille cloth is stunning to look at. Fender NAILED the aesthetic, down to the orange jewel.
I had a bit of bad luck with mine; the Normal channel worked perfectly, but the Vibrato channel was nearly silent. I looked 'round back, and noticed one of the 12AX7s was bad. I went to pull it out, and the glass came apart in my hand. I scrounged for a replacement, VERY carefully removed what was left of the bad tube from the socket, and popped the new one in. Voila! I had sound coming from the Vibrato channel!
Now, I've played probably a dozen Deluxe Reverbs. A few 68 Customs, a bunch of 65 Reissues, and the '64 Custom handwired. They've always struck me as high-headroom amps that could stay pretty clean, even at club volumes. I can say for sure that, with the special Alnico Jensen, this FSR Deluxe certainly cannot. It still sounds amazing, but it's the wrong amp for me.

This is a great Amp, the all tube vibrato & reverb sounds great by itself or specially in together in combination. The response, dynamics and harmonics are great, but since it does not have a master volume like most vintage type tube amps, I highly suggest combining this amp with the UA OX Amp Top Box, to extract all the juice from this baby.
PS the Alnico Speaker sounds great and this Blonde “Limited Edition “ is really beautiful, looks really cool!

This amp gives me all the sound I need. I only use a couple of different pedals just to get a few more effects out of it. I play a Fender Strat and a Gibson Les Paul through it and the amp really compliments the sound of both guitars. I play Blues, Rock and a little Country and the amp fits the bill for all of them. Not only does it sound great, but it is a real classy looking amp, one to be proud of. I'm glad I bought it.

This amp really has been a great addition
And has required little tweaking to get the sound I want. The reverb is dense and snappy and the virbrato Cool in small doses. It sounds great plugged direct to guitar and thru both analog and digital effects. Good investment no doubt.

I stepped up from a spider 4 to this amp and im blown away with the tone of this amp. It plenty loud for a smaller venue and has plenty of drive. The clean channel is super clean and works amazing with my pedal board. And the second channel has the reverb and vibrato you would expect out of the classic amp. I also unplug the cabinet speaker and then power a 4x12 marshal 8ohm half stack. There is plenty of power to driveit amd you get that awesom grungy blackface tube amp that we all love.

Truly a great amp covers all venues from rock jazz to pure blues. I own only tube amps from Budda to Orange , but this amp is great for all home and small venue uses with sounds that only fender can accomplish . It rocks and gives smoky bluesy tones effortlessly. Foot switch include , Jensen speaker makes the breakup-up sound superb. That familiar sixties crunch heard on so many famous recording all there now for the taking. Thank You AMS and Fender!!

Purchased amp to scale down in wattage and weight from 60 watt (70 pound )Fender amp. Amp is only 22 watts but in order to get the naturally driven tone I want it is still very loud. Tone is great but again it must be played with volume between 6-8 to get great tone IMO. Your neighbors will hear you practicing and that's too loud if mic'ing amp to PA to play with band. Sound guys I've worked with don't like it that loud before mic'ing. I'm going to try a dr z air brake lite attenuator. I think that will allow me the tones I want at lower volume. I should add my goal is not use any pedals, just let amp create tone I want. I was a little disappointed in the blonde covering which looked more like hard painted blonde plastic. I wrapped it in blonde leatherette from monotone and the thing looks like something special now. AMS did great job getting it to me just few days after order placed.

Always loved the 65 Fender Deluxe Reverb amp sound, and I really like the blond/wheat finish on the limited run addition! I'm mainly a Blues harmonica player, but when my rhythm and lead guitar friends come over for a jam, they work magic with the vintage tone!

Product Review
I have been wanting this amp for a few years, so I finally bought it and I'm glad I did. It sounds great through any guitar I play through it, ( Telecaster, Strat, or Les Paul)and it is very pedal friendly. Wonderful tone with beautiful cleans and if you want to get nasty with it and not use a pedal board, it has a great breakup around 6 and 7 and it is the tone they try to make pedals sound like. This particular finish is absolutely beautiful also! In smaller venues I will now use just this amp and in larger ones I use it in stereo along with my Dr.Z Maz 38 NR for the most glorious tones imaginable! If you have even been thinking if getting this amp, DO IT! AMS makes it easy to own and I have been a customer for several years now. I play around 150 shows a year and I will not leave home without this amp now! Thanks again AMS!

I am a church player and have been trying to get an amp that fits the multiple styles from classic hymns to modern styles and this amp does that beautifully. The cleans are the best I've ever heard, and my pedals seem like they are made for it. I have no more need to search out amps any longer this is the real deal, and the blonde with wheat just sets off the outer appearance. I could go on and on about the tone and reverb but it's hard to explain you would have to be able to tweak it to fit your style, buy it on payment plan or something because there should be no regrets buying this amp.

Aesthetics: First thing you notice when you pull this beauty out of the box is the gorgeous color scheme it has. Fender hit this one out of the park with the blonde tolex/wheat grille. Gorgeous. Pictures don't do her justice. Second thing is the quality of the amp. Feels like it's built like a tank and road worthy.
Tone wise: If you're here looking for a description of the tone to be expected, I can give you a brief summary: absolute bliss. I like both channels, but the vibrato channel melts your ears with it's lush clean sound. The reverb is on point and adds flavor. The stock speaker sounds okay, but it hasn't been broken in yet (in it's defense). Tubes sound good to me as well. Lastly, she takes pedals like a champ. Just be aware of the tone sucking devils on your board.
Do yourself a favor and buy this amp. You'll be drooling and spacing out with her in person. Either by playing through her or looking at her grille haha.
