Setup is perfect. Frets are fantsatic. Action is just right. I've always been mostly a telecaster player but I noticed this guitar has a short 24 inch scale, plus it has in/out of phase switching for these great sounding single coil pickups. I had to try one.
You can get a very baritone like sound easy on the top strings and it makes me want to play sphagetti type western for the whole month I've had it. It sounds so good through an old tube amp.
I love everything about this guitar with one small exception: The trem arm isn't great for me... but it's a simple unthreaded design and you can make your own arm for it.
I love this guitar and I'll bet you will too.

Received the Mustang playing pretty well straight out of the box, immediately replaced the strings, dressed the fret ends, oiled the board and it was dialed.
Pickups sound great, trem works fantastic, electronics aren't tte best feeling but work solidly.
Definitely worth the price!

As soon as I got it out of the box I tuned it up and started playing. Wow what a great guitar. It sounds great, It plays great, It looks great, what more can I say. I love this guitar. This is the first guitar I have bought from American Musical Supply and it definitely wont be the last.

I've owned one for several months and it is becoming my go to guitar. I'm short, and my hands don't stretch well, so short scale is good for me. I own two fender mustangs and I really feel this is better. The best thing I can say is that it's a tone monster!

I always wanted a vintage Mustang,but never could see spending 2k. This guitar is everything I hoped for and more. For under $400 I got an instrument that looks great, feels fantastic, and plays like a dream.
The pickups are powerful, with that gritty, vintage honk. The neck is fast and smooth, and the hardware is top notch. I highly recommend adding this guitar to any axe arsenal.
