Product Review I have a 64 Vibroverb and this amp comes very close to duplicating its tone. And if you like dirt, the dual gain knobs allow for all manner of different types of distortion. The four button footswitch is also very handy for having different tones with a stomp. Reverb simply doesnt get any better than the classic Fender tank sound. Excellent, very flexible amp.

Product Review The reverb this amp puts out definitely does justice to the already famous Fender clean tone. The crunch and over-drive on this thing definitely kicks quite a punch for the size of the amp. Overall, super satisfied and did not regret getting this amp! Also, super easy to use with any pedals you have!

Product Review After having countless (20-25) different Amps over the past five years the supersonic 22 covers more territory than any amp I’ve ever used. It sounds great at low-volume’s and kills in band settings. It is so good I bought a second one to keep at my practice space. The clean channel has two settings one deluxe reverb and one almost brown face deluxe more mid focused tones. Both cleans sound excellent with pedals in front of them. The two gain knobs are very interactive you can get many sounds anywhere from Texas blues to almost fuzz territory. If you need one amp to do a lot of things this is it. The only thing I did do is change V4 tube to a 12AY7. This is a pretty high gain amp so there is a lot of background noise just changing that one tube lowered the noise floor by 50% and Didn’t didn’t change the characteristic of the amp at all. This is a keeper!

Product Review This is an awesome amp. The cleans are crystal or shattered whatever you set it to. The burn channel just sounds like a growling angry dog that's about to pummel somebody. It's very durable. I'm not sure how some of these guys are tearing their amps up because I've never had trouble with Fender amps, but I'm careful with my stuff. I put an MXR 10 band EQ in my effects loop to give it some boost for lead and to push the power section a little harder when needed. It's a lot louder than I expected. Very nice surprise. Plugged into my carvin 400w 4x12 cab the bottom just doesn't quit. Really great sound, but I like it best just by itself with only a Crybaby Fasel up front and the EQ in the back. The controls are extremely responsive. You can shape the tone any way you want. The dual gain is a trip! I love it cause it can be dialed in infinitely. I really like it to say the least! I've had a Hotrod Deville 212 and I really liked it, but this is much better in my opinion.

Product Review This is one great amp. Here's the deal. Clean channel is basically a Deluxe Reverb. Very sweet and toneful. The burn channel can go from a very cool overdriven tone to a flat out Mesa Boogie grinder. This baby is loud however the clean channel may need a mic if you play ultra loud. One tip I'll tell you. The lightening bolt speaker is "meh." Not a great speaker however get ahold of a Warehouse Reaper HP for $79.00 and this baby sings. This is a keeper. AMS makes it so easy to get great equipment there's no reason not to indulge yourself.

Product Review Just got a new Super Sonic 22 Black, build is 2016. And, its got fab tube tone, simple, great clean, crunch, and distortion with cascading circuit. Speaker is by Eminence and is tricked out for this amp. It sounds great to me . . . Really cool amp and oodles of tube tone, not nasally like Marshall etc. Just warm, round, fat and fab reverb too! Excellent amp! Oh, cool footswitch for channel switching, normal/fat on the clean channel, reverb and effects. You need to remember that the footswitch has an on/off effect switch, or you'll spend an hour like I did trying to figure why the effect didn't work . . duh!

Product Review What a versatile amp. I use it with a Gibson SG. On the clean channel, I get a nice jazz tone. On the overdrive channel, with everything turned up, I get a great metal tone. This amp isn't like a Marshall; it doesn't color the tone of your guitar. But it has plenty of gain, plus tube driven spring reverb. And its made better than a Marshall. It's a pcb amp but the tubes are mounted to the chassis not the pcb board. That makes a big difference if you want to experiment with different tubes. I like JJ's over the sovteks the amp came with. I also like a celestion g12h over the stock speaker. But the amp sounds great right out of the box.

Product Review Coming from a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, this amp is really a step up. It makes the Deluxe sound like garbage. The vintage channel is rich in tone, and hitting the Fat switch adds a rock punch to the clean tones. The burn channel is very versatile going from heavy to texas blues by turning some knobs. I am very happy with this amp and recommend it to anyone sick of so-so tone.

Product Review The amp has a ton of character. Sounds great loud,or not loud with my Dual Fusion pedal or without. Combined i get a lot of different tones even though its technically a 2 channel amp. The reason i give 4 stars is the tubes. Groove tubes do not manufacter tubes. I had JJ tubes installed and biased and wow what a difference. The Groove tubes got muddy if driven too hard where as the JJ's seem to love it. Also the spaeker says made by Eminence but it seemed a bit thin and weighed half of the Wharehouse Vintage 30 i also installed. Fender really needs to step the game up and use better tubes and speakers. I shouldnt have to swap tubes and a speaker on an amp i just payed $1100 for. Still with a few tweaks this amp imho will compete with any if the "hand wired" botique amps out there at a third the price.

Product Review We were on a mission to find the best sounding Fender tube amp for our studio. The first amp we tried was the Fender 65 Twin Reverb ....beautiful but just way too much power and a real boat anchor to move around. Then we tried the deluxe reverb....legendary clean sounds of course but we wanted to get some Snarly distortion when needed.....this amp stays beautifully clean beyond human hearing. Next, we looked at this Supersonic 22..... Wow ...the clean channel is the same as the 65 Deluxe reverb ...so that's a win.... The burn option on the clean channel gives you that wonderful early breakup that is just right....very musical and controllable with your guitar volume. The dirty channel has 2 gain knobs.....the first gives a wide range of crunch from subtle to Face melting sonic pleasure. Add the second gain knob and the sustain is really a joy.....long luxurious notes of guitar sonic bliss. The reverb is the classic Fender tube powered spring tank and is the best we have heard...

Product Review Out of the box, this amp was good. But, the breakup didn't sound right to me even after an appropriate period of burn in. Being one that never seems to leave well enough alone, I dove in to the amp. A good set of tubes & a little higher plate current on the power tubes put this thing into tone nirvana. I have not yet decided on the speaker but it works very well with the above mods. My pedal board has gradually shrunk & my usual suspects boutique amps are collecting dust. The front end takes pedals well as does the effects loop. Noise level is fine without boost or high output pups, acceptable when pushing the gain. Handle broke fairly quickly and was replaced with a custom leather handle. I now have sweet Fender cleans (love the Fat setting), easy breakup for a little grit, & a great distortion that compresses nicely in spite of a solid state rectifier with the ability to dial in sustain as needed on the Burn channel. This thing does it all including acoustic amplification. Love it!!!

Product Review I am still in the break in period and one thing I should mention that I was concerned about due to reviews I read was hum and hiss. I have not had any of that with mine. The best part of this amp for me is it's versatility without a bunch of pedals. Great tone and I can dial up almost anything i want. Plenty of power but performs very well at low volume also. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the speaker. Many have talked about this a lot in reviews and I do find that even though it sounds pretty good, it does have piercing highs, especially with a tele. So I will probably eventually do a speaker swap with a Cannabis Rex or something else that gives me better high end roll off. Well, also maybe if they had used something else other than groove tubes would have been nice even though they have done well so far. I went through 3 amps before I found the versatility I wanted and this is the one.

Product Review When it works it is everything I've ever wanted from an amp. When it works. I haven't had it quite a year yet. I do gig with it, but I baby my equipment. First, I had to change the reverb driver tube. Micro phonic. Replaced power tubes. Crapped out. Three other preamp tubes were microphonic. Replaced those. Reverb tank broke at the transducer. Replaced tank. Reverb tank RCA cable broke at tank input. Replaced. Handle broke. Replacing. It's very frustrating. When it works it's amazing. It's just a chore to work out all the bugs.

Great Alternative to the DRRI

It's a Fender. They are known for quality production amps. Only time will tell, but: 5 yr. warranty, an extensive network of repair centers, and Fender's good reputation. Not to worry! Your general opinion of this product. A clean channel very typical of Fender and tailored from the deluxe reverb plus the 'fat' option for a great bluesy sound. Small point- I would have preferred that the 'fat' voicing for the clean channel did not increase the volume or perhaps had a volume knob, but it's not a major issue. Burn channel w/ two gain knobs allows anything from picking up where the 'fat' on the clean (vintage) chnl left off through major distortion and sounds great throughout the range. I really like the footswitchable loop. I use it with a clean boost always on sitting at the amp. I can then activate it w/ the fs on either clean, fat, or burn for solos. Now I only need the supplied footswitch out front for all my options. A '65 DRRI with a great drive channel is what it is, excepting there is no vibrato...that would have been nice. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5.0 The drive channel responds well/cleans-up by lessening picking attack. Excellent tone across the board from clean thru 'fat' to crunch to distortion. It's all there. At first it sounded a little darker than I like, but after around 20 hrs., the speaker seemed to loosen-up and give the bright chimey fender tones when dialed in. All my tones come from humbucker or P-90 equipped guitars. I can't comment on Strat of Tele types. Purchased the "scratch and dent" option from AMS. I've done this before and have yet to even identify the cosmetic imperfections. What a great savings! Action???...well the speaker needed to loosen up before it sounded good. Improved after around 20 hrs.

Seems good. one problem though..bear with me as I describe how to fix this. I had to take the reverb unit out and open it up because the reverb was feeding back mercilessly at first. It was an easy fix. The spring device was held into the middle of the reverb pan by a round rubber piece that encircled a pin. the rubber insulates the springs from the pin, which is part of the outside reverb pan. The pin is meant to contact the inside of the rubber circle to keep the springs from touching the edges of the reverb pan. It keeps it all in the middle. Apparently during manufacturer, the pin got stuck on the wrong side of the rubber and was stuck between the metal circle that reverb spring is attached to, and the rubber grommet which was meant to insulate this from happening in the first place. So, feedback was horrible once the reverb was turned up. So, once repositioned and put back into place, NO PROB. It's one of the nicest spring reverbs I've heard. time will tell Your general opinion of this product. Well made, solid and attractive. the footswitch is really good. Let's talk volume for a minute. The 22 watt version is what I bought, and I can tell you that it's just the right amount for me. I like to push my amps tubes hard, because that is where the power amp tubes distort and you get that wonderful distortion. It's useful for the bedroom, as well as the stage. Personally, I prefer lower wattage because it makes more sense for most applications. I can't see ever needing the 50 or 60 watt version. good. n/a

Very well made. Sturdy construction of the cab. Seems like my old Deluxe Reverb. That thing can take a beating! I'm a professional musician and reliability is a MUST for me. I own about 11 different amps and the Fender stuff rarely lets me down. So far, so good. Your general opinion of this product. This amp is certainly one of the better Fender creations. It's very responsive and fun to play while still being a very professional piece. N/A Great tone. Can handle the bright shimmery stuff without sounding brittle. The overdriven sound remains clean and defined enough to hear your guitar. If you're looking for mud, look elsewhere. The Tolex is clean. Sharp seams and no excess glue. N/A

Got her yesterday so i really cant say much here except that it is solid and feels like it could last a lifetime if not thrown around or exposed to the elements... not there yet... Your general opinion of this product. Since I am not a long time player and havent played on a billion amps, there is no way that i can compare this to other amps fairly... I can say though that this thing gave me the chills after about 30 minutes of playing on it, just the beautiful sweet tones ringing out... I don't see even looking for another amp for a while, matter of fact if this one got stolen i wouldn't hesitate to get another just like it... well, she's not light, but not back breaking either... controls are fine... so beautiful... I got the blonde version... it looks nice, but I wish it would have been tweed... although the tolex will withstand a lot of abuse without showing it, so... and yeah it looks cool and classy... had to plug the reverb back in but other than that the setup was all go... the action came after it came out of the box... im addicted...

Welllll...the reverb tube was microphonic and there's a rattle in there somewhere. I'll fix it, though. It won't function without the footswitch, which I thought was odd. What happens when someone crashes through the speakers and onto your switch? It does happen...Game over? I'll deal with it as long as it continues to do what it does. I've had it eleven hours, but Fender gear is Fender gear. I've never had a problem. Your general opinion of this product. I love this amp...I'm very picky and I love this thing! I've been evaluating what it is I wanted for 30 years now, and this is it. I happened onto it by accident-I was going to get a Deluxe and call it good, but the Super Sonic was just below on "popular" setting and thought I'd read about it. Glad I did...It IS a Deluxe...On Steroids! More variety, too. For live situations this thing will work very well in all kinds of settings. If it's Shea Stadium, let the sound guy figure it out. This thing is wonderful. If you play blues or classic covers...You have to try it out to see what I mean. I got the Surf Green w/ Oxblood grill. Excellent choice in my opinion. We all want to stand out, right? The special color also gets a Custom Shop badge on the back that says limited run. It's my new best friend. Ask my neighbors. They'll tell you it just howls the blues!

I seems to be built like a tank. I like the detachable power cord and the way the tubes a protected. I have onlt had it for a few days but have already giged with it and it cut through the mix just fine. We'll see about the reliability.I have had problems with my Blues Jr. Your general opinion of this product. Sustain forever with the gain 2 knob, compression. TYone knobs do what they should do and this thing can get erally loud. 10 pin connector for the foot switch very cool and the foot switch is very sturdy. Eminance speaker is the best and the Fender reverb is great as always. Tone tone and more tone! The amp has some weight to it but not bad. I traded in a Peavey Delta Blues for it and that was heavier. Tons of Fender tone using a Tele or LP. Very creamy and mellow to all out metal which I'll never use.

Yes Haven't had it that long. I'll let you know. Your general opinion of this product. The Super Sonic 22 watt is unbelievable amp. Whether you play Blues, Rock Metal or whatever this is the amp to own. Just change the gain on the burn channel and you've many options to choose from. I used to use an Ibanez Tube Screammer but there's no need for that now this amp simply does it all. Dial it in just right and it sounds like a Mesa Boogie or go clean for that classic Fender clean sound. Light amp. Lighter than my Deluxe Re-issue. All of the above that applies. Bought a scratch and dent. One small dent in the amp. Hardly noticeable!
