I love the Fender Deluxe Amp For its outstanding sound and clarity. The Fender Deluxe Amp is not the monster that some claim it to be. When I'm at home I have two Amps to choose from, that solid state and that Fender Deluxe. But I just can't keep my hands off that Fender Deluxe Tube Amp. When I set that Volume on 3,The sound puts me in another place and 7 hours later the sound still radiates in my soul. What I didn't like was, I had to rearrange my pedals to accommodate the Amp. All in all i'm not sorry about this Amp That I purchased, Two or Three months ago. It gives me nothing but Love. More expectation then I ever needed. Thank you: AMS.

This is by far my favorite amp, great spring reverb and tone. I have several amps and this one gets used the most over all the others including my other Fenders. The drive channels are really nice and you can get a cool clean channel when you are in the mood for some clean blues sounds. I use a fuzz pedal and that's about it for pedals, I have several others but the fuzz is my favorite. This amp will not disappoint.

This amp can do it all. The sweetest cleans to rocking overdrive. Add a couple pedals and there isn’t much you can’t cover with this baby. Plus it has all the volume you need to gig with. A proven winner in my book.

This amp is great. I’ll admit it was a little louder than I expected haha but still sounds great at low volumes. You will definitely need a distortion pedal if you’re looking for a more modern sounding distortion or any major distortion without completely cranking the amp. I’ll say again it’s LOUD...like the volume on 3 is loud. All in all I’m really happy with it. It’s definitely one of the best clean tones I’ve ever been able to achieve.

This is a great little all tube amp. Sparkling clean tones but capable of rich creamy overdriven tones. You could play anything from country to blues with this and with the volume set at 2 in the living room my family was screaming about how loud it is. Has 3 very useful channels and the foot switch comes with it as does a nice cover. Perfect for in home players or gigging at small to medium sized clubs.This amp is as close to perfect as you are likely to find.

Since adding the Fender Hotrod Deluxe iv to the backline the sound,the sustain,the natural overdrive AND quality construction of this unit is over the top. THIS amp will cut THRU the mix LIKE A heated knife slicing butter with SWEET tonal clean crisp Sound. When you look at the Hot Rod Deluxe IV combo amp the first thing that captures your attention is the ivory pointer knobs. Not only do they look cool, but the functionality is fantastic. The overall look of the cabinet is classic and clean. Sweet sounds can be made through that Celestion speaker and the smoothness of the reverb is second to none. I love it, I recommend it and I am glad that I purchased it. I have had it for one week and it fully exceeded my expectations. My new gig amp! Thank you once again AMS.

I love this amp! The clean is so clear and I have never had an amp that I just can’t turn off. If you are looking for a tube amp that can handle being heard over drums and other instruments this is it.

This amp can sing. Crystal clear cleans make this amp the best for pedal usage. The drive channels can be cranked for the blazing solos. But, you will have to work to get the mix to cut through at a live gig. I play blues funk and classic rock and this amp can do it all. Love it!!!

I bought this amp because I wanted something that was lightweight and sounded good. And...it sounds amazing! So many different styles you can play on this amp. If you're looking for a heavy metal amp, I would look elsewhere. But the all tube warmth, great reverb and even the distortion is very nice. So if you're in the market for an all around great sounding amp, do yourself a favor and get one!

Super clean amp to run your pedals. This amp cleans up everything so you really get to hear everything for what it is. I highly recommend this amp for the price. Also might I add that AMS hooked it up. 3 days later it’s sitting at my doorstep and you can not beat their financing deal. Thank you very much.

It’s a really solid amp, as with most fender amps it’s really loud, even for just have the one speaker. The tone is great and there’s a lot of flexibility to find something that fits for you. Reverb is super wet, has a little glimmer feel to the sound, it’s ok to me but I think that’s just preference, but overall would 10/10 recommend

Ran into two problems with this amp. One being the pilot light went out and to change the speaker is a hassle, because you have to be certain the screws line up well as you hold the chassis in place. Ended up leaving factory speaker in place and I was able to change the bulb to have the standby switch jewel light function once again.
Sound wise this amp growls with humbuckers. I realized the clean channel volume is not affected by the master volume, until you engage the drive channel which I like. Plenty of headroom to take pedals. The reverb adds nice ambiance to your playing.

Hands down one of the best clean channels on the market, and it takes pedals better than any amp I have tried. Purposely purchased to use with my cover band of all decades, if you get the right pedals, you can't beat it. Vast improvement from the Hot Rod III with the gain stages, but not as good as using the clean channel and an OCD. I did have an issue with the amp cutting out on me then losing signal and right now it's in the shop being diagnosed. Only problem I have had so far. Potential capacitor replacement.

I have owned a Hot Rod Deluxe before. A very early model and liked it very much. This new version didn’t work for me. The sound was lifeless and flat. The overdrive was weak. I found it a poorly designed amp with little to recommend it.
A Marshall DSL 40 is head and shoulders about the Hot Rod Deluxe
As always AMS was great and set up the return with no questions asked. They are the best on line store to buy from.

just got the hot rod deluxe 4 and have been putting the amp through its paces. Cleans sound warm, full, and round. Drive channel sounds way better than previous versions. The more drive is a sizzler, warm articulate across both channels. Nice grill cloth, and the volume taper issue has been fixed. Reverb sounds sweet too. Its a winner yall!
