Always thought the Super Reverb was the best amp from Fender. After listening to the TOO LOUD for me to play at home I decided on this . It’s Lucious and plush with creamy sparkle. I’m glad I decided on this particular one. I guess this and my Super Sonic 22 are AMP NIRVANA...

The 68ri is one of the best newer fender amps out there. You have two channels to choose from (custom and vintage) with probably the best clean tones you can get from any amp. It includes a very very good spring reverb that I absolutely love and a pretty good tremelo for those looking for a John Fogerty style tone. That being said it is a phenomenal platform for your pedal board! I recommend this amp over the twin reverb simply based off price alone! The 2x10 speakers offer more than enough for playing at home, and cranked loud enough, it's perfect for gigging. This is an amp I think everyone should own especially if you can afford the payments that ams has to offer.

I used a Vibrolux amp in 1975 and thought it was just great. All these years later I have a new reissue Vibrolux and I believe it’s even better. The dual channel can be chained together to give a very robust sound. It takes pedals better than any amp I’ve tried. I upgraded the speakers to Warehouse 10’s and love the tone. I get a lot of positive remarks from players who think my amp rocks.
Get one and enjoy.

Great amp, reverb is lush, tremolo is great, no hum. The reason for only 4 stars is that the cheap $20 speakers are not good sounding at all. Very one dimensional. I don't understand why Fender would manufacture and design such a great amp and then put the cheapest speakers available in it?

35 watts of glorious Fender tone.
Tube-driven Trem. Great verb. No hiss.
Chassis mounted hand wired tube sockets. Schumacher custom iron.
Great gigging, and recording amp.
Both channels are great. Including the option to jumper them.
Until I was looking for a giggable 6l6 driven 30-40 watt combo with verb and trem, the ‘68 CVR wasn’t even on my radar.
Happy to say I was able to try one at a studio. The wow factor was immediate for me. And that was it.
Very sweet amp. Although not known for headroom, I find the ‘68 CVR has the perfect balance of headroom and drive.
I even like the Celestions.
Easily usable without pedals. Just simple and pure tone. Inherently emotive.
Tele, Paul and Strat. All good!

Love this amp. It is so quiet even turning the volume up. Crisp clean and clear. And the 2 -10 inch speakers sound awesome. Highly recommended

I think Fender really got it right with this amp. It's very versatile, and you can play just about anything on it. It sounds amazing clean, and with the Bassman circuit channel, you can get some beautiful singing breakup, depending on what pickups and pedals you want to use. This amp sounds great by itself, but also takes pedals very well. I love that you can use reverb on any of the channels. That was always my beef with the older style fender amps. The two 10" Celestion speakers sound glorious. They have a great punchiness that cuts through the mix nicely. This amp does not weigh a lot, yet it has a great deal of wattage for it's size. Unless you are Motorhead playing an amphitheater, this is all the amp you need for full band gigs. If I were Goldilocks I would say: "It's just right!" If I were a millennial, I would say: "10 out of 10, would smash. It's lit fam!" Just buy it now. You want this!

The perfect combo amp for the gigging guitarist. Superb with pedals and the sweetest break up is easily achieved without blowing people out of the venue. I can't give an accurate review of the custom channel because I already reached tone nirvana on the classic channel and never really messed with the other side. The stock speakers sound great and should only get better as they break in. I've had many amps through the years and this one tops them all. As always, thanks AMS.

I had a DR Rivera made, a blues deville and a '79 twin reverb. I can say this one gives the tones of all 3 with the correct dial in the knobs. If you're looking for SRV tone to zz top I believe you're on the right track looking at this amp, both channels are completely different which it makes it literally 2 amps. The most you play the better it sounds. If I'd be I the need to purchase this amp again I will do that without hesitation, great fender sound engineering. Thank you AMS for delivering great products with awesome customer service! Thumbs up!

So far I have been pleased with the 68 Custom Vibrolux. It has the exact Fender sound that I've been looking for. The footswitch had a broken wire in it but I fixed it myself because for 5 minutes of work it wasn't some worth sending back. I am VERY happy with this purchase and recommend everyone at least give it a listen!

I was after an amp to compliment my 60 year anniversary commemorative Fender Stratocaster. I was after the real deal, the true 50's sound...I found it when I heard the band Los Straitjackets.... They use two Vibrolux's! But being it was discontinued by fender (blackface), I decided to give the new "Silverface" a go at it...and it is perfect...maybe even better than perfect!! Vintage surf sound...Where it all began, and where it is going for me!!! Thank YOU Fender!!!
