I’m a life long user of guitar amps as an engineer in NYC and player. I just turned 70 and am over the moon with the Deluxe. I now understand why Kieth uses them on stage and in the studio.

I bought this amp as a replacement. So much can be learned from this amp how to dial in amazing tone via the controls and plug ins. Not cheap but if it’s someone’s first amp and a new player you will find the inspirational sound you have been seeking. Soo worth it — you can play at home gig everything with this amp. With the right pedals you can get any sound you want takes em great. Highly highly recommend and Rhett Shull has a great demo about it under home amps. Buy it you will thank yourself. Highly recommend. I have Marshall’s Bludotones high dollar fenders and find myself using it all the time. Folks that are naysayers don’t know or take the time to learn the features of it; try before you buy. I truly think that this amp can inspire young players to keep going and practice with joy like never before. My two cents worth and longtime playing experience talking here. ??

I tried this amp for a few weeks. Wanted to like it but no way. Total lacking of anything resembling clean at any volume level. Basically it’s one trick is a mid hump snarling raspy crunch that I couldn’t tame even with boutique pickups. I know I know, Tom petty, the eagles, but just think if they could choose today, the tweed deluxe would not be involved. It simply lacks ALL bottom end and the highs are horrible like fingernails on a chalkboard. I’ve been performing for 20+ years. I can work on amps and guitars and I’ve performed all over the southeast. For the price of this amp you could update get a hand wired jtm45 from ceriatone and have enough left over to buy a 2x12 cabinet withANY speakers you want.

You know about the 5E3 magic of this legendary amp already so I will simply say, there are a lot of clones out there, but I am happy I stepped up for the real Fender. Not disappointed at all.

Very interactive controls. I thought I would miss not having reverb, but I don't. This amp has great bass reponse and amazing tonal range. Warm and thick from clean to dirty. Definitely louder and stronger than my Blues Junior. I've had it for 3 weeks and like it more the more I play with it.

At last I have found the device to re-create the sounds/tones that I love. Some people gripe about the 5E3 and say it's too loud and gainy too quick. Or they cry that it's too boomy. These are the mamby pambies that are used to instant tonal response via push-button technology. But, as we all know, push button effects only get us in a ballpark zone and rarely ever deliver exactly what we want. The knobs and tone knob on this jewel are interactive. Also. input jacks can be jumpered from instrument to microphone jacks. Tonal changes and gain input amounts are almost infinite once one experiments and learns different combinations of controls. For starters, there are those that cry that gain comes on too soon. Here's a good first lesson for ya. Turn instrument volume up to just below 2 then turn microphone volume all the way up. Microphone volume now acts as a bleed and overall volume goes down to manageable level and you'll get the most gorgeous clean tone you can imagine.
