Product Rating Product Review This pedal is so good I don’t even know how to explain it in words. The amount of gain you can tap into is incredible. The EQ is REALLY good. Having two channels in one pedal is pretty spectacular for me since I play both blues and rock. I set the blue channel to lower gain blues leads and then the green channel to face melting high gain lead. Pairs really nice with an overdrive pedal for chugging metal riffs. This pedal does it all!

Product Review Straight out of the box the unit sounded great. All of the knobs do great work to shape the sound you want. And the 2 channels are super convenient to go from rhythm to lead drive. I'm using it with an Origin 20 and it sounds right at home.

Product Review The BE-OD Deluxe offers two channels of overdrive that'll provide mild drive to hard rock crunch to magma hot metal. Each channel offers 3 band eq, a presence control, a 3 position tightness switch to adjust the low end to your taste. Also, there is an internal trim pot for each channel to fine tune the gain. This overdrive is easily one of the most amplify sounding overdrive that iv used.

Product Review If you don't have the 1800 or more to buy a Friedman tube head this pedal has been the closest I have achieved to the sound of a Friedman tube amp. If you love rock n roll and want a tone makes an audience be like oh **** then this pedal is a must have

Product Review I'm running this through the front of a Fender supersonic 22. Absolutely amazing. By far best OD I've owned. The dual channel is fantastic. Independent volumes makes one an easy boost. The tight switch is just over the top. Classic to metal this one can do it all. It's well made, sturdy, and heavy. A bit on the large side, but worth every inch of your board.

Product Review Sounds fantastic with 2 channels to work with for extra versatility. Lots of adjustment, because each control only needs a little movement to make big changes. Best distortion/overdrive I've ever used. Thanks to AMS for making it easy to buy and fast shipping, as always.

Product Review I have been wanting that Friedman sound for a while now. Bought this to use on my pedal rig. I have both 9 volt and 18 volt power available. I tried both and I could not get a Very convincing Friedman sound out of this pedal. A friend owns a Runt 20 Head and we were both not impressed with this pedal. I tried this in to several amps Fender Hot Rod deluxe Into the power amp in on my DSL 40. Even Tried in a borrowed tube power amp just to make sure. Just was not for me. But thanks to AMS I was able to return and was not stuck with it. The build quality was top notch and looked fantastic. I really wanted this pedal to work for me.

Product Review This pedal exceeded my expectations. I have had the BE OD in the past and went to modeling with fractal. After a few years of that I went back to playing a real tube amp again. I bought this pedal for my board to get me that sound if ever I was in a situation to where I had to use a back line that was provided to help get me a good gain sound or 2 at that! Dave Friedman knocks it out of the park with everything he makes. DAVE KNOWS TONE! If you haven’t tried Anything from the Friedman line or wondered what it will do please do for you, do yourself a favor and try his stuff out! It will not disappoint. He makes something for everyone!

Product Review sturdy and light weight. 2 channels with eq. top/green channel is the original BE-OD pedal, bottom/blue channel is the re-voiced lower gain channel. can pop the back cover off to adjust the internal gain pot. pedal can run either 9v or 18v. you can really dial your tone to suit your needs. well worth the money over the standard pedal, imo.

Product Review i run this pedal thru a fender with a 1x15” speaker. spews rich, articulate, saturated high gain or dirty, dirrrty little crunch tones and everything in betwixt. each channel’s internal trim pot adds even more flexibility. see pete thorn’s youtube demo for a great reference; buy thru AMS- arrived in a day.

Product Review I have used a JHS Angry Charlie (for distortion) and Xotic BB (for overdrive) for the past 5 years. Both are excellent pedals but the Friedman BE-OD Deluxe is on another level. The term "overdrive" is VERY misleading when it comes to this pedal. The top channel is capable of MASSIVE distortion/fuzz and the bottom channel is almost just as dirty. If you want a more tame overdrive you'll definitely have to remove the back cover and tweak the internal gain pots. But it cleans up nicely when you roll back your guitar's volume. There seems to be no limit to the tones you can achieve using the EQ and Presence controls and Tight Switches. When I 1st got the pedal I spent hours pinching notes and listening to the rich harmonics. I've been playing for over 20 years and I have never heard anything like this pedal before. I am totally amazed!!!

Product Review I have an original BEOD and have used it extensively with much success, but I was looking to diversify my high gain options and tried many of the popular contenders from Bogner, Revv, Diezel, etc. None of them gave me more of what I wanted, so I tried the Deluxe model recently and it really is exactly what I was looking for sonically. I use the blue channel mostly with occasional forays into the green channel for over the top saturation. It's bigger than the BEOD but definitely a smaller footprint than two standard-sized pedals. My only caveat would be the lack of a remote switching option. Otherwise it's a keeper!

Product Review Thought this pedal would have a lot more gain.I pushed the gain the highest possible and my old behringer v amp rack mount unit blows it away.not impressed at all and sending it back and may try the bias pedal.for now I'm real happy with my blackstar ID core 150 head and boss gt100.the boss waza pedal I ordered is great too.

Product Review I absolutely love this pedal. I currently have five over drives on my pedal board, and they all have very unique characteristics. If I had to pick one out of the five the BE-OD would be the one. With two channels, you can use this to get good rhythm tones, as well as some serious screaming steel beam melting overdrive. And if it’s not enough overdrive, you can open it up, and you have access to more yummy drive, With the two Diles that are located in the guts of this pedal. This pedal is amazing. I’ve been trying to find this pedal for a long long time, I’m glad to finally find it. And on a second note, I will also add that I use this pedal board for my bass as well as my guitar. This pedal is awesome on my bass.. I can’t say anything, more it’s just fantastic.

Product Review I play an SSS Strat, but I also like a high gain tone for lead. Not the ideal normal combo I know. I play through a Marshall Origin which is basically a clean amp. I've been searching and searching for a high gain pedal that provided the character and tone I wanted but still seared enough for a singing lead that wasn't overly glassy. The BE OD Deluxe is that pedal! I originally dismissed this stomp because you can't stack the channels. After trying a few other dual pedals that missed the mark I decided to give this a go based on the high praise it gets everywhere. Turns out I don't need to stack in order to get high gain sound I was looking for. The Green channel gives more than enough gain for most styles and the Blue channel goes from a TS type crunch to a nice hard rock sound that's great for chords. If you are worried that there's too much gain for you open it up and trim the gain back on either or both channels to suit your tastes. I highly recommend this very versatile pedal!

Product Review I returned it, not because it didn’t sound great, as it has a legit tube amp sound! For me it was more gain than I wanted/needed and I couldn’t tame it. If you’re looking for the Van Halen brown siund and then some this pedal is for you!

Amazing Overdrive!

Product Review This pedal, for lack of better terms is extraordinary. It far exceeded my expectations for what it’s capable of. It is powerful enough to replace if not a least keep up with the amps distortion. Very, very pleased with it. With a flat EQ this pedal sounds amazing. Just set your levels of gain and volume and you’re good to go. A cool thing with this pedal of course is the fact it’s a 2 in 1 overdrive. I have the lower gain channel set as a medium drive to use over the clean channel and it layers nicely over the amp distortion as a “thickener” to the main amp distortion. The higher gain channel I have set to use on its own as just another distortion tone since it keeps up well if not exceeds my amps distortion and it sounds lovely. A tad noisy but that’s to be expected for such high gain it offers. A very cool ability with this pedal is located inside the bottom plate, there are 2 dials, one for each channel that allow you to adjust the amount of distortion you want per channel. The 2nd channel is dialed up higher than the 1st but you can adjust how you like it if say you would like more or less drive or headroom per channel. They could be dialed to the same level and you have the option to essentially have the same drive but with different EQ options for each channel for rhythm or leads. The presence dial is an excellent feature as well along with the “tight” switch which provides a noticeable character adjustment that gives your sound that thick, slightly compressed sound for better articulation and string separation or keep it more open for something with a more “breathy” and natural decay. Build seems solid, switches feel sturdy with good foot feedback. Highly, highly recommend this pedal. It seems to be marketed to those after intense and modern high gain but can be adjusted to provide overdrive that’s more classic and traditional. It’s a badass pedal and I’m extremely glad I picked it up.

Product Review The first time I plugged it in was magic. All the knobs were at noon, and it provided those hot rodded Marshall tones. After a little time and tweaking I was going from country/blues to full on Metal with a switch between the gain channels. Go ahead and get this version, you won’t be sorry. Having the flexibility of 2 great sounding gain channels is well worth the price.

Product Review All of the Freidman products I have played are amazing. There are an amazing amount of tonal possibilities. It sounds great through all ranges. I turned the internal pots down to decrease the overall gain of both channels. I can use the entire sweep of the gain center control. There is however an endless amount of gain that I am not taking advantage of.

Product Review The options with this pedal are endless. Take advantage of the two internal gain trim pots. I literally spent a few hours just tinkering with the different tone and sounds that come out of this little gem. I was not able to find a sound I did not like. Gain ranges anywhere from simple boost to over the top. Simply a must have if you a pedal freak!
