I bought this wah after hearing awesome online reviews. However when getting it,it was extremely hard to turn and off like the switch was broke. Called AmS and they said Dave would fix it give Him a shout so I did. Dave was fast to respond and I mailed it out however the switch was still tough to click on I believe the switches he uses are bad. Wah sounds amazing when turned on beautiful vintage tones but like other have stated this small quality issue forced me to sell it and it's a bummer don't know why theses wahs if this issue firedman makes amazing stuff!.ended up getting JAM whacko instead best wah I've ever played

I had seen all of the Youtube reviews of this pedal and was very impressed by what I heard. When it arrived I was very excited and hooked it up immediately. Unfortunately that's where the happy vibes ended. When I engaged the pedal for the first time I noticed that the switch took an unusually hard stomp to turn on and off. It also made a light click when I got anywhere near the switch point. The travel had a rough, gravelly texture (kind of like when your brake pads need to be changed). The real kicker was that the friction of the travel seemed to be microphonically conveyed to the audio output--I could hear the scratching out of my amp!
Upon closer inspection I saw that the felt pad underneath the treadle (which damps the switch click) was way out of alignment with the switch cap. I also saw an unusually thick wad of axle grease on the gear of the pot. I felt this was glopped on trying to compensate for the crappy feel. I tried listening to the 3 toggle positions, and they each had a slightly different sound but the friction noise, terrible feel and constant clicking made the whole experience a real bummer. It was also way noisier than my 30-year old Crybaby.
In summation: until Friedman gets their quality control together on this product I would avoid it completely. If you can't resist and want to roll the dice make sure you get it from a reputable vendor with a liberal return policy like AMS. I'm sure glad I did.
BTW : I decided to go for an Xotic XW-1 Wah in the the return/exchange process.
