I got it so I could leave an extra rack space open around my power amp to improve cooling and ventilation. It does the job well and I don't have to worry about things getting lost in theextra rack opening.

I bought a couple of these. They are well built and are sized correctly. No issues with being under or oversized, or the mounting holes not lining up.
