I'm very pleased with the Looks, Tone, Quality and Playability of this guitar. I've owned a vintage J-45 and had plans of buying a new model j45 but i just wasn't happy with the quality and playability of the new J series. After playing The Songwriter i was sold. It's exceeded my expectations and a joy to play.

What I like about the Gibson acoustic line is the hands on building of these guitars. I just think it's cool they don't use a ton of machines on them. But that's where the price comes in. It's a very expensive acoustic and I'm sure a lot of that cost is labor. This same guitar could be produced way cheaper, but I'm happy to support jobs here in the USA!
It's a high quality instrument and sounds as you would expect from a spruce/rosewood acoustic. Plays comfortably and looks killer. The baggs pickup sounds great. All in all, pricey, but high quality.

I was in the market for an acoustic and was in between Martin, Taylor and Gibson. I’ve never owned a Gibson so decided to go this direction. I am so happy with my decision! The neck is extremely comfortable and the tone is so full. Sounds amazing mic’d up or direct. The guitar is beautiful with no flaws. I was able to choose which one I liked best off the website, and with the 18 payment plan made this very affordable. I can’t put this guitar down. Comes with strap, pick holder keychain, polish cloth and hard shell case. Just get it, you won’t be disappointed!!
