6'4'' 400lb drummer here. This thing is rad. Huge firm pad on top. Super heavy duty bracing and hardware. You could knock out your obnoxious lead singer with this thing! Large skid free rubber footing. Can free spin and has memory lock. Adjusts quite high. If you're a big drummer, get it!

I've purchased 3 Gibraltar thrones from the 9600 series over the years and they all stood the test of time with superb functionality and stage appear. The 9608 round top adjust to a perfect height for me being that l sit High most of the time in performances.

In the 29th chorus of solos.....in a 3 hour gig. But it’s no problem, you are sitting fine and comfy on this throne. And while that soloist is packing up his 50 pedals, you simply detach the top, fold up the base, and pack you couple of items and you are home by the time he’s just getting in the car.
The throne is light, and sturdy. It’s not going to break in the middle of a gig.

Been drumming for over 50 years, never to found a better throne than this Gibraltar. I weigh over 200 lbs and this provides solid support, never rocks; last one I owned served me for years. I highly recommend.
