Well set up straight out of the box. Sounds great, i.e., does the Gretsch thing well. As good tuning stability as you can expect with a Bigsby vibrato. Stays in tune but tended to go out of tune slightly (less than most Bigsbys I've played) when using the vibrato. I ended up installing a BricksBiggsFix and now I can go crazy with the vibrato and stay perfectly in tune (look it up - kind of a must have for just about any Bigsby with this type of tension bar). High quality instrument that sounds great at a great price

A gorgeous instrument, and sounds perfect. My husband is the musician and being a woman, I just love a great-looking guitar. This one does sound and looks flawless. I am surprised for the cost of this guitar. He has 9 guitars that range in makes and models. This one is at the top of the list as far as standing out in looks AND sound!
No buyer will regret this purchase.

Right out of the box, this guitar was set up perfectly - other than the tuning. Georgous finish- sounds great. I really like the built in strap locks! A very cool touch. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone interested in one that looks and sounds like no other. I've never actually owned a Gretsch guitar before but now have 2 or 3 others on my want list.

Gretch has so many awesome and different style guitars and I have wanted one for a while, I came across this beautiful guitar in Airline Silver! It is stunning! The finishes are impeccable it looks like a 5k guitar Im not even joking. The guitar came setup pretty good but Im very picky, I set the intonation and lowered the action to my taste, and this thing flies! so many great sounds and tone scapes, a very versatile guitar I would pit against any Les Paul, but Im am really happy with the craftsmanship and quality of this instrument. Picked up the case as well. I dont know how you couldn’t be blown away by this guitar. On the last note, Stock tuners seem good no tuning issues. Glad I bought this beast of a guitar, Its a little heavy, but it doesn’t bother me.

I love the pickups, they have some of the oomph of a humbucker with the clarity of a single coil. Almost like a P90 minus the noise. I had a pro set up done like I would with any guitar, and had a little bridge work done to flatten the string angle. The action is amazing, and using the vibrato does not take it out of tune. It was a good, 4 star guitar prior to the extra work, another 100 buck made it an amazing 5 star guitar.

I cannot believe the value of this guitar. It is legit on par with my Gibson Les Paul. Machining is so accurate now that you don't even need an American guitar. My Gretsch came set up perfectly out of the box. No fret issue. Nothing. Only thing I am changing is the Bigsby spring, which is pretty stiff, like all Bigsbys. Bought it in blue and it looks beautiful. Buy this guitar.
Oh, for a chambered guitar it is kinda heavy.

Got mine this morning in Cadillac Green besides the tuners not a flaw could be found ! Don't know how they can sell this so cheap. The neck is very comfortable , fret work is top notch Playability is out standing That unmistakable Gretsch sound make me love it even more .Once I change the tuners , I would compare this to a Les Paul quality instrument . The green is very deep and rich , mahogany neck & back are gorgeous looking LOVE THIS KILLER GUITAR :)

Product Review
I always wanted to try out a Gretsch to see if the very particular sound and design would be to my liking. At $599 this seemed like a good entry point. I have to say, I love this guitar. The build is great and the sound and playability have been addicting. I put a new set of D’Addario Chromes on her and plugged her into my AC30. Kerrang!!! Also pleasantly surprised at how responsive these pickups are to a decent amount of dirt. Not sure yet about the Bigsby, but it looks cool and I’ve had zero tuning issues. I am already thinking about getting an Electromatic Center Block soon.

I just love these Gretsch Electromatics. This is my 2nd. I also have a Double Jet. When I saw this Jet in Airline Silver with a nice dark Black Walnut board, I had to have it! You won't be disappointed with these guitars. I believe the Gretsch Electromatics are one of the best bang for your buck guitars out there!

Product Review
Just picked one up one week ago, I really like it. It feels like a nice blend of a Tele that allows you to play cords easily and an SG, light body with balls with a nice tone. Action and finish are FLAWLESS, the Chinese are making some quality instruments. I fought and put down Chinese products for a long time (this is only my second china ax) but recently I had to accept that for the price, these are an unbeatable value. I don't know how an American guitar can be better in look, feel, and sound at even double the price. The finish in this guitar is every bit as good as that of my good US-made Les Pauls and Strats. This is a "middle of the road" guitar, no fancy components, or finishes, just a very good 1K guitar that costs a lot less than that.

Product Review
I’m actually not a guy who favors solid body guitars as I tend to like arch tops (I play in a big band). I do admit to owning and occasionally playing a Fender Strat and a Gibson Les Paul goldtop. But being partial to Gretsch guitars like my G6119, I’ve looked at the Jet models with interest for some time. So when they came out with the Electromatic Jet in Cadillac green at a very favorable price, I had to pull the trigger. So I ordered it from AMS because I’ve always been pleased with any purchase I’ve made from them. It arrived in just a few days in perfect condition and I gotta tell you, this thing is great! Usually when you buy a guitar for under $1000 you will need to do some adjusting on the action but the only thing I had to do was replace the Bigsby spring with a shorter one. The guitar looks, plays and sounds like a $2000 instrument. The tone is just different enough from the Les Paul to make a valuable addition to the stable, and I put the guitar on their 8 month payment plan for a pain free purchase. Thanks AMS for a great deal!

Product Review
I had been eyeing this guitar for quite some time, and finally made my move, and I’ so glad I did! As a guitarist for over 55 years, and recording studio owner and producer for over 40 years, I have extremely high quality standards. What struck me first was its beauty...I got the Aleutian Blue one, and just couldn’t resist going back over and over to it just to admire its looks and design. But the touch, versatile pure and balanced tone, (extremely flexible), and the master volume and tone knobs make it so easy to get just the sound I’m looking for in such a wide range of applications! The combination of these elegant pickups, body shape and design, and impeccable craftsmanship make it a steal of a deal especially with AMS 12 pay no interest plan! A guitar I’m sure to love playing forever! And, it’s so beautiful!

Let me start by saying I wasn't too sure about this instrument when ordering it, I saw a few youtube videos but all in all you really don't know what to expect when ordering an instrument that wasn't made in the united states. Let me tell you how wrong I was for being pessimistic! this Gretsch exceeded all my expectations and some!.
The quality of the instrument build rivals guitars that are 3X the price!, the action and setup out of the box was simply perfect, wow! Gretsch really nailed it with this guitar, can't say enough about how well this guitar holds up. The finish is excellent, the bigsby is more than just a pretty looking feature, it actually works! unlike other bigsby owned made in china brands I've had in the past where the bigsby is really just for looks, this one is actually stable and works very well. Congrats Gretsch! you really stepped up your game with foreign made guitars!
Lastly, the guitar sounds phenomenal, just what you would expect from a Gretsch guitar!

This is the second Gretsch Electromatic I’ve owned, the first being a double cutaway. Not only is it a sleek looking guitar that harkens back to the days of the early 60s but it sounds fantastic. I don’t know how Gretsch does it at these prices! Multiple tone controls make for a variety of sounds while a sleek neck profile makes this an easy guitar to play - you won’t want to put it down. A beautiful instrument.

Without a doubt one of the best bangs for under 600 bucks you’ll find. The guitar simply rocks. I almost didn’t buy it because I couldn’t believe a guitar this affordable could sound this good without some sort of catch. I kept asking to demo more expensive guitars thinking that surely I’d need to spend at least $800 to get something decent. But I kept coming back to this one. The feel, the tone, the looks all made me a believer. The slightest bit on the heavy side, but worth the workout for the price. And Gretch quality. Give it a spin if you get the chance.

This is an excellent guitar for the money! Right out of the box the guitar was setup well and was comfortable to play. The fit and finish on my Jet was top notch and is up there with guitars that cost twice the money. The hardware on the guitar is of good quality and should hold the test of time.
I have small hands, and I find the thin U shape neck of this guitar to be quite comfortable. I made minor adjustments to the neck and string height to make the play ability perfect for ME. The body is well balanced and comfortable, I can sit and play this guitar for hours!
The sound is... Well... It's a GRETSCH, so it has that awesome Gretsch tone!!! I play thru a Marshall CODE 50 amplifier and found the guitar sounded well when played with heavy overdrive as well as it does with clean settings. The Filtertron pickups in the jet are crisp, clean and very quiet even in high gain settings.

I could never get to like a les Paul. Owned 3 and discarded them. I love this guitar! Blacktop pups are my new favorites. Very nice craftsmanship and weight. I am going to try stringing it over the retaining bar to see if the Bigsby b5 softens a bit but other than that it’s a very nice guitar.
