Product Rating Product Review Due to a neck injury, I’ve had to look at a lightweight guitar so I can continue to play shows but not be in pain for days afterwards. I checked out and Purchased a Gretsch Rat Rod but playing live, even the smaller hollowbody proved to have feedback issues, so I began looking into a semi-hollow option. I zeroed in on the 5655tg right away and was struck at first by the looks. This guitar is gorgeous. I purchased the Black Gold version and am so happy I did. There is gold sparkle under the black paint and if you catch it in the right light, it just shines. Played it live this last weekend for 2hrs and NO neck pain! I was worried about these Blacktop BroadTron pickups as they’ve received mixed reviews from Gretsch purists, but let me say this, if you are more of a Les Paul player wanting to scratch the Gretsch vibe without totally abandoning your sound, this might be the guitar for you. It has all the low and mid range punch of say a Probucker but still has that high end sparkle without going into ear piercing pain when you drop to your bridge pickup. Think Malcolm Young with a bit more low end. It’s a great sound. Zero tuning issues even moderately playing the Bigsby, and the fret work is immaculate. Definitely worth your time to check out. There are some great videos online that really showcase what this thing can do, so if you’re on the fence like I was, watch a couple videos while you order this thing. It’s an absolute beast.

Product Review I bought this guitar, excited to play it. I had issues from the beginning, including the strap pins coming out. If you're thinking of purchasing this guitar, I would pass. Save your money and buy something better!

Product Review Im sorry to say this guitar is way over priced, made in china, mine had a grounding problem and the upper bout strap button was stripped, Gretsch should be ashamed if themselves for selling this very cheap made guitar. I sent it back!!
