IMO I would like to have an option to have electronics or not to have.i would purchese one right away but I don't like that it comes with the electronics it a buitful guitar to material but I'm a purist I don't won't any acostic I get to have pickups and electronics.

This is a great small body guitar! Great midrange tone. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of bass and volume when in drop D. Plays great in standard tuning as well. And, this guitar looks amazing!
Out of the box the guitar played okay. You will most likely need to do a set-up on the guitar. I had to adjust the truss rod, oil the fretboard and polish the frets. If you don’t do this sort of thing, take the guitar to your local guitar shop and have it set-up. It’s worth money.
I will probably change the nut, saddle and bridge pins. The bridge pins are inexpensive plastic. The nut and saddle are better quality, some sort of very hard plastic/composite material. After a set-up the guitar played great! I recommend this guitar as an instrument to be played or hung on a wall and admired.

I love sitting with this guitar; it has become my home-guitar. I love the sound and playability of it's action/fretboard. I have never owned a Gretsch before purchasing the Rancher Falcon as well as this Rancher Pengiun. It's become quite the favorite. For anyone looking for a style with some glamor; I know I like my bling. I actually haven't disliked anything about this guitar. I've only owned for a short while since I wrote this review. But at any rate; I'm planning keeping Gretsch in the family.

I love the way it feels in your hands and the built in tuner is amazing. Its smaller size lends to its playability and use. I find myself using it more often because of its size and convenience

What a deal!- great fretboard and great tone from a parlor size beauty!- very comfortable to play , and quite the looker!- this is the second one I bought- I bought one about a year ago, and loved it so much I bought another one for my daughter- she loves it , too!

Every time I buy an acoustic guitar it sits in my studio...then I eventually sell it. Most of the time they have been wildly expensive guitars that cost more that most folks first cars, And they are typically jumbos. So real talk....Jumbo acoustics can be muddy and they are uncomfortable as hell to have under your arm. So, this guitar checked all the boxes for me. Smaller body (check) thinner body (check) quality build but at a reasonable price (double check).... And can we talk about how friggin' cool this guitar is? This thing is sick, literally the stuff dreams are made of. I wish, I REALLY wish that Gretsch would make the Electric hard tail (Dirty White Boy) version in this same price point. If that guitar was $999.99 I would have already bought one :) God bless Gretchen for this wicked ax! I just used it to cut my next single....and it will for sure be in the music video.

I needed a small acoustic electric guitar to play at shows. I wasn't sure what to expect out of a parlor sized guitar, but this little thing plays like a dream! Plugged in, it has character and not boxy sounding like you'd expect from a guitar this size. As far as looks, I was worried it would be a bit over the top, (I have the white one) but it's perfect. It's been a long time since I've been giddy over a guitar like this, and I'm having a blast every time I play it.
