I am amazed on the build quality of this guitar. It easily equals any Gibson. I have owned a Gibson L5 CESN and I really think this Korean made guitar is it's equal in everyway. Great sound also. I only paid $845 for a brand new one in mint condition and I totally love it. Easy to play. I don't know how they can make them so good at a low price.

Right out of the factory sealed wrappings, this Guild guitar is not only stunning to look at, it is a pleasure to play. Even in open tunings, the stay tite heads keep it steady going from one to another. The electric tone is versatile, and the deep quality acoustics come through richly. Best of both worlds.

The first one I bought was 'blemish' discount. However, I couldn't find a single blemish or mark of any kind.
The problem I had with the first one was the frets on the 4 - 6th string from about the 13th fret and up had issues. Also, the guitar sounded much brighter (tinny?) when not plugged in than I would have expected. I returned it and they gave me a small discount on a new model since no more 'blemish' models were available.
So the brand new one arrives and whoa! Like night and day. The new one has a beautiful, warm tone, even without plugging in. The action is great and fun to play.
Nice sustain and the Bigsby fun for mild chord and single note effects. I bought it primarily for Jazz, but it sounds great playing blues and rock through my Line 6 Amplify.
The ONLY thing I personally would like to see changed is the pickup selector mounted on the top instead of the bottom front. However, that is not serious enough to deduct a star.
