Product Rating Product Review I looked at everything under $1000 and this guitar sounded best in all the review videos. In reality this guitar sounds even better in my hands since Ive been playing a 12 for 40 years now. Just buy this guitar if you are here. Surprisingly the Fishman pickup sounds good through a tube amp! This guitar has the volume and tone I hoped for and more. Needed zero set up.

Product Review Got my Guild 2512 today and I can summarize my reaction of this guitar with one word, WOW! Loud, articulate and flawless construction. The velvety satin finish feels great especially under the neck with the only flaw is it nearly hides an otherwise nice lightly flamed and birdseyed back and sides, even the sides are bookmatched! Top is well matched too. Sounds bright and chimney without an over emphasis on the bass like rosewood can which should help a lot in cutting through a mix without a lot of EQ. The Fishman electronics are not quite what I would call stellar but certainly more than adequate. For the usual $540 price point I have to give this guitar an absolute 5 stars let alone at the current sale price, I'm completely floored!! My final remarks are if you have been considering any acoustic 12 purchase I recommend this all maple Guild Jumbo and especially now while they are still on sale!

Product Review Good build nice acoustic, replaced the tuners to locking Hipshots cleaned up the nut, the treble strings are alittle tight spacewise but it does keep the neck smaller, it's ok plugged in

Product Review This is a beautiful guitar. The tone is balanced and it has amazing projection. Naturally, with AMS, it arrived quickly and was close to being in perfect tune. String height is perfect and the intonation is spot on. I love to play it and find that so many 6-string tunes sound much better on this 12. The neck feels good and it is generally easy to fret. I have a hard time with a full F chord, but that’s normal for me with any guitar because I have a problem with my left hand. My wife loves to hear me play it and that means a lot. I read a lot of reviews about how the battery was located in a little bag inside the sound hole, but this one has a battery located in a housing near the bottom strap button making it easy to change batteries. I thought that the pick guard didn’t look right to me, so I quickly upgraded it to a more attractive (to me) pick guard. This is an amazing 12 string for a reasonable price.

Product Review Sounds amazing. Lots of bass and mids too. The neck plays easier than my Taylor. I have had all the 12s over a $1000 and this beats them all.

Product Review I bought this Guild 12 string figuring it would at least land somewhere in the neighborhood of acoustic meets jangle that Guild's high end 12 strings are legend. Yep that's what I was thinking when I ordered it, but, man oh man, when it arrived and I strummed a few chords, I was immediately struck by two thoughts, one, that it sounded and felt very good, and the other was that I wish I had found this guitar much much sooner. run don't walk and snag one for yourself before they figure out how much more they could get for this guitar!!!

Product Review I have not had this guitar for long enough fo it to fully open up tonewise-but can tell it has great possibilities,as it already sounds great. The only faults I could give would be the nut, which is a ping fest upon tuning up. The tuners themselves seem up to the job- and overall fit and finish is wonderful. I havent really set it up and restrung it yet-but the intonation and playability is good out of the box. With the jumbo body it is not zingy or stingy-nor is it overly bassy. This is good on one hand,as it sounds like two guitars together-very rich--but that is at the cost of some of the 12 string shimmer- you get it on leads but less on robust strumming. A setup and change of strings may modify this-as may the opening up of the guitar with use-but as it stands it is a very resonant and lovely sounding guitar.

Product Review I've never had a 12 string before...just no need, really. A couple of my friends have one, and my dad has 3, so if I felt the need, I could always put my hands on one. Well, I started thinking about it, and a well-seasoned player that I know gave me this advice: "You can never go wrong with a Guild 12 string." So I went for it and picked it up. Great price, and even better guitar. This thing is a beast! This guitar rings out like....man, did you hear that? It's big, it's loud, but sounds just fantastic. No, it's not like others costing 2 - 5 times as much, but I have to say, note for note, I'd put it up against those guitars any day. My friend has an Alvarez and my dad has a Martin and a Sigma...this sounds every bit as beautiful, but sure can command a room. So happy with it.

Product Review I was searching for a 12 string that had a great punch and deep bass. In my opinion this one has it. I just received it a couple of days ago but can tell this will be one of my favorite guitars. The fretboard is not too wide which was one thing I wasn't sure about in a 12 string. In fact it is probably only a little wider than my six string. It is extremely comfortable, the neck is smooth, and the body is a very smooth matte finish. It is also very beautiful. I plugged it in and I am more than pleased with what I heard. The bass and highs are there just like I wanted. The tone and volume controls are just under the top edge of the sound hole and they have redesigned the battery location and plug in location from what I gathered from other reviews. No longer is the battery in a bag in the sound hole and not longer is the jack in the end pin. But the jack and battery share a spot just to the underside of the end pin which makes it very easy to change the battery. I would recommend this to anyone especially given the price. I am only slightly disappointed in that they stopped including a gig bag but that just made me have to get a hard shell case for it which I prefer.

Product Review This 12 string plays and sounds like it cost twice the amount of its modest price. A pro level for a budget cost. You would not believe the variety of tones it offers! The fretboard is radius smooth and feels aged. It’s a solid wood made guitar and you just can’t find the playability, and the interesting sounds in this small budget range. It’s got that ‘magic’ we guitar players look for.

Product Review This Guild 12 string delivers a lit if Bang for the Buck! It looks as good as it sound. The sound produced rivals more expensive 12 strings. The neck is fast and the action makes tit easy to play. I haven't plugged it in yet, I don't think you need to. This Guild booms! Whether strumming or fingerpicking it doesn't disappoint. The Guild F2512E is a nice addition to my Martin and Takamine!

Product Review I owned a Guild F512 I bought in the 70's. I sold it about 5 years ago, and instantly regretted it! After deciding I missed having a 12 string I decided I needed a new one but did not want to spend all that money. Based on pass business I came to trust American Musical Supply. The rep suggested the F2512E. For the priced I payed I expected a somewhat decent guitar that was playable. I also figured that if it did disappoint me I could always return with AMS's generous return policy. From the first time I played it I was amazed at the sound. It was full-bodied and crisp. The action was set so well that I did not have to change it. The finish was much better than I expected. The electronics sound great through an amp or a PA system. Very satisfied with the quality, sound and playability of this guitar!

Product Review I went into the process of buying a new 12 String with eyes wide open, but didn’t have a lot of hope in purchasing a sub $1000 guitar and get the sound I was looking for. Then I came across this Guild F2512E. I had owned an older F212XL and loved it, so I was willing to give this 12 String at least a try. Was I pleasantly surprised!! Great resonance, sound and intonation!! I love this guitar and will recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a great sound and value

Product Review I looked at and played every 12 string in the 299 to 799 range. The Guild won my vote. The jumbo body with on-board electronics, bone nut and saddle make this guitar sound great. Comes with a decent soft case. Try it.. you have 45 days to return if you don't like. But you will.

Product Review I've played guitar since I was 14 y/o. Upon returning from Vietnam in 71' I went out and bought a 12 string Yamaha. It's been my constant companion to this day. The years haven't been kinda and so I decided on another 12-string. Being the owner of a Guild D-40 since the mid 70' the sound and ease of play was always always evident. So looking for a 12 string was a no brainer. The workmanship and full bodied tone are excellent..

Product Review I was adjusting the truss rod on my 1982 vintage 12 string when it totally came apart, my luthier quoted me $1000, to repair it, too much $$$$$ I consulted my only instrument buying platform A.M.S and my budget was $500 and Lo and Behold a Guild for under $500. Look I know it was made in China but I have to say the fit and finish was AMAZING.I did however have to make some adjustments, I sanded the bottom of the Nut and saddle because the action was too high and added a high end set of strings, readers this Guitar plays and sounds like a grand piano with a cascade of bells in it. Well done Guild and of course Big Thanks to AMS for making instruments affordable

Product Review I lowered the strings both at the saddle and the nut on my Guild 12 String by sanding them down on their bottoms. It gives the 12 string a much tighter, brighter sound!! Another tip is to be patient with the tuning. Use a digital tuner. Give it 4 or 5 tune-ups over a 2 day period to permit the strings to stretch properly. You will be thrilled with the results! AMS has provided me with many great products!!

Product Review I have wanted a 12 string for quite some time. I was browsing and this caught my eye. Very affordable price point and a very nice looking instrument. So, I took the plunge and ordered it. I was actually surprised at the quality. It seems very well made and has a great feel. It comes tuned way down so as not to stress the neck out too much during shipping. After four rounds of tuning, it was ready to go. I took it to rehearsal and everyone was impressed with the guitar's looks. Then, I plugged in and we started on the song I bought it for: You've Got To Hide Your Love Away. You could hear the sound of everyone's collective jaws hitting the floor. It was gorgeous and full and made the song (which I had been using a 6 string on with a 12 string emulator pedal). The guitar is awesome, the sound is awesome, and the carrying bag is great too. It is surprisingly light, but seems very sturdy and has a brace for the neck. Can't beat the value for the price!

Product Review At this time I own three twelve string guitars and a bunch of other six strings. I've been playing for about 50 years. My other twelves are decent guitars but this thing blows them away. The concave back has no bracing and the guitar is surprisingly light. It is at least twice as loud as my solid top Alvarez jumbo 12. I not only would recomend this to others i am seriously considering ordering another so i can have one in an different tuning for shows. Best 12 string Ive owned.

Product Review I'm a 62 year old journeyman guitarist and have been playing since I was 10 years old. I don't often write reviews. First the bad - the battery for the pickup on this guitar is in a canvas pouch attached by velcro to the inside of the guitar near the neck joint. The manual does clearly state that it is necessary to detune the guitar to change the battery. In shipping, on my guitar, the battery became detached from the velcro so I needed to detune the guitar to reattach the battery. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. It is my only gripe with the guitar. Now for the good - and there is a lot of good. First - this is not a fancy guitar. Its' appearance is quite plain. I do find it attractive in a utilitarian sort of way. Out of the box/gig bag, the action was perfect. This 12 string plays great. It sounds great. I don't know if it's the maple arched back or the jumbo body, but this guitar has a great voice that really projects. It sounds great through the pickup too. A great buy!!!

Product Review I'm a 40+ year session player and recently needed a good acoustic 12 string for an upcoming project. This 2512E far surpassed my expectations for such an affordably-priced instrument. My main goal is how does it sound recorded, and this guitar is exceptional. And it looks and plays as great as it sounds. And this may be a minor perk, but the padded gig bag it ships with is great. Don't let the overseas build scare you away; this guitar is superb! GV

Product Review I don't know why I wouldn't give this 5 stars. It's got a pickup, so straight off the bat, there is value there. Sounds just fine plugged in, but it sounds incredible acoustically. The body design of the Westerly series elicits quite a booming tone. I was very impressed with the loudness of this cannon! The tuners seemed to be a good quality for the cheaper model and although made overseas, the overall feel was great. The action was incredible for a 12 sting and it has the dual truss rod to help with the crazy tension a 12 string goes though in its lifetime. The maple back and sides are not ornate in the least and are kind of an ugly color, but I'm in this for the sound and value. The top looks nice and the abalone rosette and Guild log really stand out. I loved the style of tortoise pick guard, it looks really classy and I can't wait to start cranking out some Petty, Peter Gabriel, and Eagles on this puppy. Well-worth it for the price!

Product Review Guitar sounds good but like all 12 strings tuning is a pain especially if you leave plugged in. I found out it had a battery and battery I'd pain to get to. You have to detune to get your hand in guitar hole and reach battery located by neck. I ended up breaking a new string doing so tuning up. For fact second time I broke one since I got it. Expect taking time tuning. Battery location is reason I give 4 stars.
