This is a loud speaker. A little hissy when you bump it up but it is loud. A different kind of loud than an amp in the room but it'll move you. FRFR's tend to be easy to operate and this one has just one EQ button (hi/low boost) and a feedback control button. Not too heavy and sturdy. AMS was on-time as always. Packaged well, no bruises works as it should. How do you beat those payment plans?

Something we've needed in the market of amps for years . Just plain power for a modeling pedal. This headrush amp kicks . I love this thing. These speakers are amazing . I bought the 8” version and loved them so much I bought the 12” also . I have used them for my line 6 helix and also because my JBL fizzed out I used them in a pinch for an acoustic gig and got so many compliments I may just keep using them !

Finally gave up on heavy tube amps and stomp pedals. Was torn between the 10 and 12. Probably could have gone with the 10. Regardless, it sounds great with my Pod Go. Works well with my cover band. Easily cuts thru stage noise. I’m playing humbuckers, single coils and an acoustic, and they all sound great.

I use it on the floor in front of me like a monitor and run direct out of it into FOH. My setup now is fast and easy and I'm not wore out from carrying a half stack around for a gig. For the money and if you already use a modeler it's a no brainer to go with this product.

I have 2 of these and use them in stereo and I’m floored at how much power and sound these speakers have. Just plug and play. I use a helix modeler and the ease of just playing and hearing the tones are terrific. Thumbs up Headrush. Also shout out to American Musical Supply this company is the best. I picked this up to pair with my Line 6 HD500X and it has performed beyond expectations for me. Light and easy to carry, plenty of headroom for indoor gigs and outdoor venues. The flat eq lets the line 6 shine with the amp mods and mic setups. Dialed in correctly I would challenge anyone to a blind listening test and no way you could tell the difference between a tube amp of any kind vs the authentic sound reproduction this cab is capable of. Technology has indeed gotten this good. Crazy awesome.

This competes with some of the best rigs out there. If you’re an amp modeler user then this should be in your collection. When recording, I run the DI as well as micing it with a nice condenser microphone.
It’s 2,000 watts so you can rehearse and perform with it as well.

Bought two of these to run stereo with my Kemper Stage - needed a good way to amplify and not color the sound... thus is a great option! They pack PLENTY of power... I’m sure they could cut through any mix if set up appropriately from your modeler.

I have been playing since 79, have many different multi units from Line6, Tech21, TC Electronics to name a few. I also own several Marshall’s (JCM 800, JMD, Zack Wilde Limited edition), 5150 First edition, and a few Fenders and while plugging into the effects loop bypasses the eq and preamp of the amp; the clarity of the unit is so damn clear its just amazing. Will be picking up another soon. Most the casinos in my area along with bars no longer allow real amps on stage; this looks like a monitor. Sounds great!!!

This speaker surprised me! The sound, power, weight surpass other speakers costing more. My only criticism is that the noise floor or hiss level is a bit higher than more expensive speakers...naturally!!! But it works great for me playing electric and acoustic guitar both in clubs and church. BTW-for electric guitar, I'm using it with a Kemper Profiler Floorboard and it works very well!

Got this last summer to use with a new Kemper Stage Profiler and it's been a solid first foray into powered speakers. I've used it both as the main means of amplifying my guitar at a gig and as a monitor when I went FOH. Plenty of clean headroom, easy to use, durable construction. So take the quality and combine with the price and this is a solid option.

I have two of these hooked up to my Firehawk pedal. It’s great to take to practice or gigs cause there’s not much weight.
I drive em hard and they take no problem. Sometimes if needed I use one for monitor purposes.
It could use more bass. I utilize my MXR 10 band equalizer pedals with these to great effect.

Honestly, I love this cabinet. The price is just right, fair without being so low that you question the quality. The sound quality is great. I watched a few video reviews in which one of the reviewers claimed that this unit sounded like it had a cold.
Assuredly, it does not. You can get anything from a rich, dark tone to a crispy, clean acoustic through this powered cab. As far as volume goes, I haven't even scratched the surface. With the cabinet on 3/11 volume and my Kemper turned up to maybe a 1/20 volume, it's almost too loud to play in the barracks. Still, the quality stayed clear and in control. The separation was there, each string clearly ringing through with heavy distortion.
While I will attribute some of the clarity to the Kemper, a bad cabinet will hold back sound quality the same way a bad lens will hold back a camera.
In conclusion, I will likely be buying AT LEAST one more Headrush FRFR Powered Cabinet. Likely, I will be buying several once I'm done with my contract and rejoin our band in Florida.

I got this to pair with my hd500 for smaller and medium rooms. It sounds amazing. I spent about an hour tweaking my individual patches for it, and I now just drop into any room, am set up in minutes, and have beautiful clarity and the tone I want to hear. I can also tuck it in the corner of my living room for practice between gigs. Slightly bigger than I expected, but worth it.

Product does very well for just barely being over $300 it handles the base very well and I can crank it to band rehearsal volume and hear over the drummer. I use this with a Kemper and a helix both sound very good through it. There are better products but start costing $900 plus this is a great alternative and just in case grab an EQ pedal in between and you can make it sound better for the speaker.

I love my headrushes so much!! I bought two of them!!! you can mount it on a stand or set it like a monitor on the floor wedge or a speaker standing up! Very durable and the sound is crystal clear with tons of power and volume!! More than you will ever need!!! I use them with my Kemper Profiler and love the GIANT sound these produce!!! Plenty of hookup options in the back also. I also find these relatively light for hauling around. I highly recommend!!!! Thank you American Musical Supply!!!

Just like the title says, it does what it's supposed to do. It's a 1000 watt rms, 2000 watt peak full range flat response speaker. It'll get you through any gig whether you play guitar or bass. It's got two line level inputs, so make sure your modeller is set to line level out. There is a bit of mid-range build up in this speaker, so be prepared to throw an eq block on. It's a decent speaker though, especially for the price.

This is a really solid speaker. The clarity is really nice and it also is made to either be set at an angle as a floor monitor or it has a hole where it can be put upright on a speaker stand. Has two dual XLR/1'4" inputs and one out. Very nice unit for the money.

Before this I had amp to speaker now I have a line 6 fx stomp which allowed me to replace my entire traditional amp setup . I can literally hear the difference in different amp models. This is so much easier to travel.with to do anything with makes a night and day difference.

Throw it in the car or sit in in front of the TV. This is great for modeling or just hooking up to the pc and listening to music and rocking out. Take it on a gig and let it be your main speaker or just your front piece and plug into the venue's sound system and use this to project your sound. Can't go wrong. I received the HeadRush cabinet yesterday. Everything arrived in solid packaging, and the product looks and works as advertised, and more. I busted this thing out, plugged in my guitar and turned the volume up to 50%, struck a chord, and I flew off my feet like Marty McFly. Seriously, the sound maintains a clarity at high volumes. The high, mid, and bass ranges add to the overall clarity with a beautiful sounding mix. Most of all, my guitar has more bottom end, and the amp modeling sound is so close to the real thing that very few people would even know the difference. Great buy, and I’ll be purchasing another one soon.

Did not know what to expect from this unit... I was using an active floor monitor at the time, which I already owned. I had such a hard time dialing in my guitar tome. Nothing quite sounded right! Once I received the HeadRush the difference was immediate. My new setup finally sounded like a guitar amp! What I difference it has made! Great purchase!!

The HeadRush FRFR112 is an amazing product.
one of my gigs I have is playing with a gospel quartet group and the venue sizes can go from a 100 seat church to outdoor concerts.
The HeadRush allows me to achieve the sound I'm looking for no matter the venue.
it works for my jazz and R&B gigs also the HeadRush is truly a godsend.

Bought the headrush pedalboard awhile back and just played through amp or PA, figured I'd try the headrush cab but thought I'd need 10 of them to be as loud as I needed but oh no, one is insanely loud, it turns up to 11 I play it on 9 and it never peaks and gets clear signal and pleanty of rumble, must have for headrush. My buddy has the line 6 Helix and 2 of these headrush cabs, sounds amazing. Loud enough for any venue and constructed for the road

Sounds awesome with the Helix LT plenty of volume tried it with a band that does heavy detuned rock. All the lows were super tight and any setting matched what I did with my headphones. As far as the volume I put the cab on 5 and my helix the volume was set at 12 o'clock right up the middle. Was plenty loud and had clarity the whole time. Also positioning the cab like a monitor was a great feature I could really enjoy the sound and not be taking any ones eardrums off. Everyone said they could hear me from across the room. I was using an orange half Stack before and the guys told me this sounded so much better

I needed an option for practice. I was tired of lugging my stage gear to practice where w use electronic drums. I saw this, and figured I would give it a shot. This thing did not disappoint it is every bit as loud as my PV 6505+ if not louder I’m running my boss ME 80 through the record out into the head rush and it sounds amazing, highly recommend it

This was exactly what I was looking for in a guitar speaker. It puts out quality sound whether the volume level is on 1 or 10. No hum or hiss, just silence when you’re not playing. It’s small enough to throw in the back seat of your car, and loud enough to gig with. What else do you need?

As a guitarist, predominantly using modeling, these things are perfect. I have the same exact sound when I record as when I'm playing live. Also, when I plug in my awesome condenser mic for solo gigs it sounds amazing. I bought 2 because I'm a big fan of true stereo sound. Oh, and the power - incredible volume before breakup. And a nice contour switch to correct for venue situations.

I've had the 112 for a little over a week. For guitar modeling it shines. If you set your tones with headphones you'll get the same tone through the cab. I have used a bass modelling pedal. It dosent have the deep low end punch that my Marshall has with a 15 inch driver, but for practice or if you run your live bass sound FOH it will do fine. I do have a couple of small issues. First, it would be nice if power and volume controls were on the top or sides. There is a clipping indicator on the back where it's impossible to see, not a huge issue. Second, if your rough on gear the molded plastic seems like it won't take much to scratch or gouge it. Although it's primarily designed for modelling, vocals and pre-recorded sound are great as well. I would like to see a 2x12 version with some stereo capability. Overall a great solution for modeling. Add in the size and the different placement options, the price and you have a capable, modestly priced rig suitable for almost any venue.

Coming from being a tube amp enthusiast, I was skeptical. Read some reviews and watched a couple videos. Seemed promising enough. I just purchased the pedal board which I LOVE. It’s simplicity to interact and adjust via touchscreen AND with quick on stage foot adjustability, I think that and it’s sound modelings are unmatched and I’ve tried Tone Lab, ME80 & Line (number won’t mention). Had it through a Fender Twin, felt like something was becoming lost in the sound. Played the pedal through PA, not entirely satifactory unless you’re band is all using in ear monitors,..and good ones. After running it through this? Absolutely blown away. All my other amps are up for sale. Not only is this minimizing my gear to transport, it’s increased my sound dynamic enormously. Warm, deep tones. Every model articulated perfectly. If you have the pedal, you really should get the FRFR 112 as the perfect compliment and probably the last stage amp you’ll ever need

This has easily been one of the best purchases I have made for guitar. I bought two of them for true stereo. I am blown away with the sound and quality of the cabinet.
Using these to drive a Mac as a guitar rig with my DAW. I got rid of my tube heads and 4x12 cabs. This also sounds amazing with my Line 6 gear.

I have had this thing for a few weeks now and have to say I am very impressed with it. I was definitely nervous about the puchase for a few reasons, not the least of which was the price. The clarity and punch and volume of this cabinet are well worth the money. Would I have bought something else had money not been an issue? Yes. Do I have any regrets about this purchase? The Good
I play professionally and was looking for something more portable that could be used as a stage monitor and also have a direct out to the board. In that respect it's great. Running through my Line 6 Firehawk it's a nice, easy setup. The direct out allows a much cleaner sound through the mains (no stage noise) that is much easier to mix. I can carry it with one hand in a speaker gig bag.
The Bad
Although the sound is okay it does not sound like an actual amp. It basically a monitor. It's very hollow and distorted. You will need to spend a lot of time adjusting the eq on your modeler to get your sound. Even then it still won't sound like an authentic amp. If you've been playing a while and are used to the sound of your old Twin, Vox, Marshall, etc. then you may struggle with this. Especially if your in a guitar oriented band, like a blues band, where the guitar sound is critical then this won't cut it. Spend a little more for something cased in wood.

This speaker is as advertised, you can hear every detail in your sound and is loud enough to cut through any mix.I have replaced my old Marshall 1960A cab with this which is a huge relief not having to lug that thing around (I prefer using the HR FRFR112 as my cab rather than a monitor). The HR FRFR112 is compact, only 35lbs and built like a tank! It will definitely handle the rigors of touring like a champ! But again, the sound is the star of the show here; I use this for my HR FX board and the tonality is incredible! I can hear every nuance of my rigs. Being able to hear the difference between the cabs and mics really enhances the playing experience. Also the low price and the ability to connect to other HR FRFR112 speakers and directly to the house system makes this an insane value. At the moment, I have no criticism but I expect that at some point, I will. Until then, I highly recommend this product!

The HeadRush FRFR is probably the only speaker I’ll ever need for my Helix. It has a TON of headroom so I’ll never be worried about being too quiet. Compared to other FRFR or PA speakers, this really is a hard price to beat.
The handles on every side of the cab really makes it easy to transport it. The sound is extremely crisp and clear and will really pair well with any modeling device of your preference.
Props to AMS for getting it out to me so quickly too!

I purchased two of these. This box is loud and punchy. Many two-way boxes sound like a horn and a 12. This one doesn't. The blend between 12" driver and horn is amazing. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

I've been using high end modelers exclusively for a while now with IEM systems. I needed a way to monitor when IEMs weren't an option. Wow, the Headrush FRFR delivers! This thing can get LOUD, and still never gives in! The tone is as true as my studio monitors and can really kick! It's light weight too! The first time I used it was an outdoor gig and the rest of the group, including the drummer, could hear me loud and clear. I'm a worship guitarist, and I've found myself ditching the in-ears and just using this on our (very loud) youth stage. My only regret is not buying two of these bad boys for stereo use, however I will be buying a second very soon. The great thing is, the price is a fraction of its competitors! I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed!

I was extremely skeptical about a FRFR that was half to a third of the price of the bigger companies but I was wrong. This is a fantastic neutral amplification solution for those who have created a great tone through a modeler. As a life long vintage tube amp user I purchased a Helix as a headphone solution when children were sleeping. After being impressed with the sounds I didn’t want to cloud the results running through an amp. The head rush is the perfect solution. Already planning on getting at least one more. Light weight, sturdy construction but most importantly is sounds amazing. One can easily perform in a band environment. Got great advice from staff. Highly recommend product as the best bang for the buck available for an FRFR

This is exactly what i was looking for. I run my Atomic Amplifire-box through it and it sounds amazing. The other guitar plays through a Mesa Boogie and i usually play through my Marshall but now all i bring is this thirty five pound cab and my little amplifire-box. The first band practice went great everyone could easily and clearly hear me the first gig was a breeze i had the volume at seven played a straight two hour set without any problems. This is a great product and the price is perfect.

I use the helix and really wanted to set up my patches with the same sound as what I'd have from a PA.
From what I've seen this is the same speaker as the Alto TS312 BUT the mic preamp has been removed. This is ideal for a guitar tone.
This is also WAY loud enough to play with a drummer...you could even drown them out if you wanted to.
I run my helix into this and my wife plugs bass diretly in. From there I can also run the OUT into a mixer and record them. This is a great product at an even better price point. Highly recommend it.
For live settings I plan to run my helix mono but send L out to house (with direct box in front) and R directly to this guy
