Bought the Gigaboard about a month ago, and it blew my expectations away. Every pedal I have ever used just got replaced with this one device.
Entire floor setups can be created on screen. Its like brining a thousand pedal boards with you on stage, and every legendary amp ever built. This thing makes my peavey bass amp and classic tube amps sounds like a dream.
Headrush's Gigaboard is graceful and easy to add, swap, create, and edit your rig/s components. I'd have to say this is the best Effects/Amp Modeling pedal system ever built. The effects, amps, and mods all sound as good as the legit hardware. Some tweaking of the parameters may be required to get the the best sound to your cab/head, but editing anything is a breeze.
I generally use this pedal for metal style guitar and bass. There is more for a guitar on it, but its' almost as useful for a bass player. At this point I can't see plugging in and not using this pedal weather in practice or on stage. In small enviros you can even ditch your cab and just plug this into the venues sound system if needed.
There is also an array of downloadable after market tones/cabs, so almost anything ever developed can be added to the Gigaboard.
This is probably my single favorite piece of gear. I'd bet you could take this thing to the moon, through a concert for some ETs, and they want a Headrush for their mothership!

Once I learn how to navigate through it. It was fairly easy and quick to set up rigs that I could use in a live situation. And with the variety of sounds it gives inspiration. Plus with the headphone I can practice without disturbing anyone. But most of all I can use it without an amp, which makes set up and breck down much quicker

No it’s not a tube amp and doesn’t sound as good as one. That being said I live in a condo and this gets me as good as I’m going to get in that setting. It certainly is good enough to gig with and the ease of use, functions, and ability to use headphone, loop, and play backing tracks all while sounding very good. If I lived in the middle of nowhere I’d own a Fender Super Reverb and a JCM 800 double stack but that will never happen so in the mean time this does a good job of filling that hole.

This is the second Headrush for me, I've had my pedalboard for over a year. This unit is like having every amp and cab you ever dreamed of. Small size but so many options with configurations to do setlists for different amps for different songs, the drop tune feature is amazing and next to zero latency, the stomps are very authentic sounding and if you can use an Ipad you'll be able to figure this out quickly. I've been downsizing amps for years and thanks to Headrush I can carry all my stuff in 1 trip. I also have the frfr108 and I was concerned it wouldn't sound that good based on it's size but it rips. Very loud if you need it to be and the bass response is amazing.

It's a complex piece of gear yet easy to navigate and apply your technique. You can lose a little hair as you start the download process since every computer is different. However, it's workable. After a week of having it i can say it absolutely meets my expectations.

This gig board is truly the best thing since my 68 plexi I paired it up with frfr108 power cab now I Marshall half stack at home and I throw the gig board into my messenger bag and the cab and expression pedal a gator speaker bag and away I go. The trade off in sound are very minimal for the convenience regardless of venue. The only issue I have is with the expression pedal settings aren’t as intuitive as as I expected.
Beyond that minor issue I am very pleased. Grab one for yourself I don’t you’ll be disappointed.

This unit has all the capabilities of the full pedalboard unit minus some buttons and a pedal. But it comes free with an expression anyways. Used to have a helix. Was going to downsize to an hx effects as i bought a new amp. Thought headrush would be comparable. It’s easier to use and you still get the amp modeling at the same price point. Now I can use my amp if I want or just the models.
Also the gig board and exp pedal fit perfectly in my briefcase which I have modded to be my pedalboard. It’s awesome

I am very impressed with my gig board the learning curve is relatively flat you can literally unbox it and play with the lone exception being the expression pedal requires close attention to the instructions. Otherwise I am enjoying the device very much. I have the FRFR 108 and very cool to throw the gig board in my messenger bag on my shoulder guitar and cab in each hand on the T (transit) in the city
Again very cool rig for urban areas to the stage now I am testing it out as a pedal board for my Marshall 1/2 stack via fx loop should be great for outdoor venues

Its a no frills plug in and play guitar pedal i hesitate to even call it a pedal 2 knobs and 4 foot switches touchscreen works just like a smartphone so easy to navigate around "user friendly" is a gigantic understatement you will have your mind blown by the sheer number of sounds you can get out of it, there is no special requirement to play it everything you need is in the box,you supply the guitar and amp(any amp will work)and your imagination

I want to start off by saying that this isn't a bad product per se, but I do feel like the claims of realistic sounds and how they've modeled the amps and cabs etc are over blown. The amps don't react like amps, no matter what cab sim or ir you use, it doesn't sound natural. Even with an frfr speaker, you'll never get it to sound like an amp. It'll sound kind of like a recording of an amp. Higher gain sounds work well, but low gain bluesy stuff just isn't there.
And for the price tag, the distortion effects are extremely limited, and they barely send out updates with new stuff.

Once you learn your way around this pedal and get it up and running it a breeze. The presets all sound pretty good and most are useable the way they are . Lots of inputs and outputs to interface with what ever gear your using it with. Im still experimenting with ways to use it with my amp and also a separate stereo power amp and speakers. I do wish there was a editing program for my computer to make changes on the fly. I will be getting the expression pedal that is made for it next. All in all Im pretty happy with it .

While the presets are a good start or template.. build your own rigs! This board will do just about anything. I use this into FOH and monitor out for me. It’s a great system, super easy to use and if you don’t like something... delete it!

The Headrush effect pedal is not only a fantastic sounding all in one unit but is by far the easiest to use unit out there. I have tried a group of pedals, if not all, to be offerd. The Headrush has amazing sounds. It does it all,and does it very well.It is the best I have used and by far the simplist to use. I love multi effect units but don't like to spend all my time programing as I just want to play. The Headrush has the best sounds and is very user friendly. I had this out of the box and playing in about 15 minutes and that includes reading the instructions that come with it.I love the Headrush and look forward to making music. It really inspires me to play more as it is easy and quick to make the sounds you hear in your head. It has the best amp, effects in stereo, and a great looper! The large touch screen to just drag and add is amazing. It has it all. Thank you AMS for the excellent service and the payment plans available. It will allow me to get the guitar to go with it! Peace

I am very impressed with this board, it's UI is beyond almost anything else out there,its amp modeling is very good as well and the price/point is hard to beat. I was going to replace by Line 6 HD500X with a Helix until I checked this unit out. I'm on team Headrush fim now on. Adding an expression pedal would be suggested.

This is probably one of the best purchases I’ve made in the 20 years that I’ve been playing guitar. For a weekend gigger and bedroom guitarist this has EVERYTHING and MORE than I could possibly ever need. The tone is great, digital has come a LONG way. The Headrush Gigboard is endless in the ability to customize and configure tone chains. Sounds phenomenal run through an The Headrush FRFR-112. The visual touch display makes it easy to rag and drop to change order of configuration. Plenty of amp, preamp, and mic tones. Everything is tweakable and configurable — and that’s before you get into custom IR files. Need to add custom or boutique pedals — use the effects loop. Need additional pedals? Add up to two expression pedals. All tucked into a package about the third of the size of the Headrush Pedalboard or Looperboard.

I gave this 4 Stars only because of some difficulty I had in the programming part. In one of the training videos it talks about when your playing the sound drops off as if you’ve got a bad cable or something along those lines. They demonstrate how you need to double tap on the “Input” block on the top left hand side and it opens up a screen that shows what they call a “Global Gate”, and it’s set at about 40db in the video and on the one I had as well. There is a block right above that has a White line to show where it’s set. And when yiu strum a chord with it at this factory setting, it cuts out..Your told to add use the setting to about the middle of the block and this will stop it from cutting out. I did this on my unit however no matter where I put it I was still getting the cut out...it’s very frustrating. I was never able to correct this. Secondly the manual that comes with the unit is very much lacking what I would think are the very basics. I was never able to figure out how to assign the 4 buttons on the bottom. It was confusing, at least to me. I did contact HEADRUSH and was directed to their videos, but once again, the few they have are great at about everything else, but as far as what I was looking for, didn’t help. I am an old school guy from the 70’s and the Marshall, stomp box generation, and being older, yes I know, I so wan this to work, so I can grab this unit and the FRFR speaker cabinet, which is awesome by the way, my guitar and go.. I sent it back and I’m waiting on a replacement unit and I’m going to give it another try......Wish me luck, and yes, I would recommend this to anyone out there. ROCK ON PEOPLE, KEEP THE MUSIC ALIVE...!

I’ve lauded with full stacks, half stacks and combo amps. I spent thousands of dollars on 100’s if effect pedals. This one pedalboard have whatever sound you can imagine. I have ran it direct without an amp which makes the smaller venues very happy because of zero stage volume. Can’t gonwrong with this one!!!

I believe they still have a little refining on the sounds to be used. Amps needed are Framus cobra , Engl Savage 120, Diesel VH4 or sounds close to these. A little more refining in other amps as well.

The possibilities are endless or at least, extremely vast. It comes loaded with a library of complete rigs, effects and IRs. From there, it’s up to you to get creative and create your own combinations. There is also a lot of support online from a robust community of headrush users and developers. Headrush Gigboard offers an amazing amount of flexibility and quality sound. I see it as a must have for the gigging guitarist. It takes some dedicated time to dial in the various programable features, but once you do it a few times it becomes easy. The 7" touch screen with color display makes it even more convenient and easy to modify on the fly when needed.
There are plenty of videos that support the gigboard which provide great tips and insight, plus you can download presets from other gigboard users with the USB hookup which also keeps everything up to date with the latest and greatest.
Headrush was unfamiliar to me until about 2 months ago. Once I read the reviews and watched some demo's. I was sold. I now have a gigboard and expression pedal which I consider my best investment in a longtime, on gear.
Do yourself a favor and at least check the gigboard out. You will be pleasantly surprised and pleased. I certainly am happy I did.

I’ve been playing guitar for 38 years.In that time, I have accumulated many amps and pedals.My main rig is a Mesa Dual Rectifier and an old 4x12 bass cabinet that sounds amazing.
As for pedals,I run a TS808 and a wah in front of the amp and a chorus, delay, and parametric eq in the effects loop.
I have tried many multi effects units over the years but none of them sounded as good as my pedals. Until Now!
The Headrush Gigboard has exceeded my expectations in every way.By running the 4 cable method with my rig, I now have everything I need in one unit and it replicates my tone perfectly.
I haven’t had a chance to fire up the modeled amps in my studio yet, but if it performs the way it has in my rig.
The Gigboard will be all I need for tracking.
As always AMS’s service and information on my purchase was top notch.

This thing ROCKS! Extremely versatile, durable and it’s smaller size (as compared to its bigger brother) is perfect. From out of the box to getting to riffing is only a few minutes. The Headrush gigboard is very easy to use and understand. It’s 7” touchscreen and drag and drop functions make setting up a virtual pedalboard a breeze. The amp modeling capabilities are super good and couple that with the Headrush 2000 watt speaker and you will be ready to rock some faces off!

Holy crap is this thing great! I didnt expect much from this unit when I first got it but it his exceeded my expectations. The led touchscreen makes navigation a breeze and easy to use. The amp and cab sims are top notch and the ability to use custom i.r. helps take it further. Theres companies like choptones that create profile packages that help this thing go even further beyond. If your looking at a helix stomp or whatever other modeler there is. This one is worth overlooking those. Built like a tank as well and easy to use 4 cable method as well. The possibilities are virtually endless.
