There's nothing worse than having a cable go out at a gig. This tester helps me know if my cables are stage ready. I check all of my cables every 3 months. That way, I KNOW that I'm good to go.

For some reason I did not anticipate the unit being so large lmao but idk what I expected with so many cable inputs. Built like a tank and a straightforward system. Stoked to finally be able to troubleshoot better.

I highly recommend this tester to any new or veteran in sound reinforcement.what puts this tester above the rest is 3 points. One is the gauge of the case it is at least twice as thick as the competitors. Two it has a Speakon 8 pole cable test position. Three is the test probes for continuity, saves breaking out the VOM. I value this instrument so much it’s housed in a Pelican 1170 case, the perfect size.

This thing does a quick continuity test on pretty much any connector you even THINK you might run across working in sound. Although I still keep a digital multimeter with me for actual measurement needs - this is so handy and so fast for a quick verification that a cable is good. Should have bought it years ago.

I LIKE IT A LOT

I give this 5 stars because I like it a lot. The variety available for options of the type cables you can test pretty much covers the gauntlet for the most common type the average music and sound artist would have available to them. One thing that puzzled me was for the 1/4 inch jacks. That I/O selection is labeled TRS but it appears that an standard TS instrument cable is accepted as well. Changing the selector lights to 3 different points with a varying light array indicating the cables status has me a little confused still as there are no instructions provided with this item to describe what it is you might be looking at at any particular time. It does appear though that as long as you have a variety of 3 different LEDS lighting up for you that the cable is alright. I say this because I have one cable I know to be useless and no lights light up in the configuration of both TRS and TS cables that do function normally. Bottom line: An instruction sheet would be a nice extra
