Adequate sound...loud enough to play acoustically. Sounds good plugged in to an amp. Fun size! Conveniently comes with a case. Stays in tune between uses. Great bass!

Bought this as an alternative to an upright bass. It's about the closest thing to that sound for this price. Sounds great plugged in and unplugged. It's also something you don't see everyday and draws alot of interest from the crowd!

I used to play upright bass, but can no longer play, due to Lyme disease related health problems. Don't really even have the strength to pick one up anymore. I wanted something small, and light, that I could noodle around with, while sitting around listening to tunes. This bass is so much more than that! I am completely blown away by this amazing little instrument. It has the "muwaaa" factor going on all up, and down the neck. Action is perfect, and with the 25'' scale, the tension on the strings feels like that of a classical guitar, yet, all notes ring true, and with commanding presence, in every position. Double stops, two finger chords, single note runs are all perfect. nice projection, and engaging tone, and that's just acoustically. Plugged in, it is a beast, but in a beautiful, and restrained way. I thought I would have trouble going from 34'' to 25'' scale, but it seems no trouble for the most part, except when things go wrong, they go very wrong, lol. Still getting used to it.
