Product Rating Product Review I broke my own rule and bought this instrument before I was actually able to test it out and don't regret my purchase at all, I've been playing this bass for a few months now and actually just paid it off the payment plans(which is really easy and convenient btw). My first impression was the really solid packaging which kept my bass looking beautiful; which brings me to the next part of how stunning this instrument really is, I sometimes catch myself just staring at it and thinking how good it looks. The tone is very punchy and has a very meaty middle end but I personally didnt like the stock strings and changed them but there wasnt anything really wrong with them. I usually have the switch turned off with my mids and highs slightly turned up and the bass flat. Another thing i wanted to mention was how good the tuning system is on it, my battery died on my tuner so for about 2 weeks I didn't tune at all. To my surprise when I finally tuned it the intonation was basically spot on. 10/10

This bass was flawless in it's workmanship and finish. 35 inch scale length, active electronics, individual bridge saddles, Bartolini pickups. Excellent tone. My bandmates loved my new sound. Your general opinion of this product. I am so glad that I purchased this bass. I am completely satisfied with it, and, cannot think of a single thig that I would change. The neck is super smooth and fast, and the controls are well laid out, and, easy to adjust while playing. I can dial in any tone that I need, from a thick, heavy growl, to, a bright glassy synth type feel. The bass was an all natural finish. A walnut top with a light Ash body. No glossy stains, which I love. The action was perfect. It was very low, which is perfect for me because, I use a light touch when playing. I didn't have to adjust a thing.

Ibanez makes the best quality mass-production instruments in the world. Great features. Neck-thru, Bertolini pups and pre, swamp ash body, walnut veneers on front, maple/walnut 5-piece neck, playability out the yang... Whoever has rated this bass at a "1" didn't know what the F they were talking about. Wonderfully even tone. Big, thick, chunky bass. If you are used to Soundgears, this may not be the bass for you. Traditional feeling neck. I love the feel and playability of this bass. If you are considering a purchase, play it before you buy it. Not boomy, bottom-heavy, mid-thick, or brassy/bright. Just even, punchy, good tone! Bertolini pre is very usable; frequency settings are good for this bass. Great bass for studio work or live application. Flawless matte natural finish. Action out of the box was good. Slight truss rod adjustment.
