Product Rating Product Review The BTB hands down has the most beautiful deep sustain of any bass I have owned. Bought it thinking wow this is gonna be a new experience, I was not wrong, but in all the right ways. I feel challenged to learn in ways that I have not in 20 years of playing. If your thinking about it, do it.

Product Review I have owned and play Conklin 7 string bass for the last 20 years. I was leery of buying this Ibanez BTB747, thinking the quality was not there. I was wrong. This bass packs and punch and a growl that is unmatched. I love the clarity and various options for tonal sounds. The wood looks and feels beautiful. Although it does not look/feel as solid wood like my Conklin, the fact that it is lighter in weight is a plus. I have been playing a 7 string bass and 5 string bass for the last 20 years - this bass is now my only go to.

Product Review I gave this 4 stars because I've had Warwick Thumb 6 NT, Pedulla basses, of which are, IMO, the best of the best...and cost MUCH more. But I foolishly sold all those years ago, and some really nice Carvins, too. Getting back to business making music now, and wanted a GOOD bass I could afford, and this Ibanez is it. I recently had a Schecter Stiletto Studio 6, which was likewise excellent for the $1k and under range. But so far I think this Ibanez is at least as good, perhaps better, with some nice features like Neutrik input jack, mid boost/cut switch, etc. It's a gorgeous instrument, a really nice bridge, too. So far my (small) hands can play this as well as any other 6 string I've had, and am not daunted by adding the extra string here. I've been playing bass for much of life now (51 yrs. old now), and this one feels quite natural. I also got the MRB500C case with it, and it is one of the absolute finest cases I have seen to date. This was my first order with American Musiccal Supply, too, and it won't be the last. Fast shipping, good prices, these folks seem great thus far.

Product Review I’ve been waiting for the ideal 7 strings and the wait is over; this masterpiece from Ibanez is what I’ve been dreaming of; needless to mention the impeccable finish and total beauty; the playing is smooth and the combination of pickups and controls bring up endless possibilities! The neck is very comfortable for a 7 strings bass; I can’t recommend this bass enough!

Product Review First off this bass is THICK, the size is just monstrous. I cant find one thing I dont like about th iij s bass though, the sound the quality the feel it is all top notch you just cant go wrong with it. The neck is thick but made in a way that its useable, it's a heavy bass but plays very comfortably. People say you cant really slap on it, you can it just takes a little more practice cause the strings are rather close together. The bridge and the pickups are probably the highlight of the bass it just sounds monstrous. This is the bass I use in studio hands down, but I'm not sure about live just because it's to nice to ding up. All my basses are ibanez for a reason and this bass is job exception, ibanez did it again.

Product Review First off, thank you AMS for making it possible! This bass is the truth beyond words, and it came in perfect time! The tone shaping is next level! I’m talking high, low, and mid! Wide neck, but easy to play if you practice as much as I do! And can you say Bartolini?!! Haha I’m just grateful!

Product Review I use a 7 string for two handed tapping and the BTB 747 fits the bill. First of all, it is a lot lighter than other 7 string basses. You have to keep in mind though that a 7 string, just neck width alone, would be heavier than a 4 or 5 stringer. I did change to flat wound strings, I just dont like finger squeak. The Bartolini pickups are fine, onboard equalizing is on point. I can rock out or tap classical and the bass handles it with no problem. I recommend this for the serious bass player or someone looking to up his game. It is not for beginners. You will not be disappointed.

Product Review I am a 25 year touring musician and write music for film and games. This bass has now given me the ability to cover baritone guitar chords (the piccolo bass range) while simultaneously playing the bass line on stage. It is completely stable up and down the neck - no harsh resonances, and with the Ibanez neck radius it is very comfortable and fast. The string spacing is a little difficult for extreme slap playing (I have another bass customized for that) but it is perfect for picking, fingers, and tapping. It is well-suited for prog, prog rock, and prog jazz. I can also cover piccolo bass range melody lines without having an extra bass on stage strung with piccolo strings. I previously researched all the engineering (string spacing, neck radius, woods, fret size, etc) and settled on this model and now after actually playing it, I have to honestly say that the playability has exceeded my expectations.

Product Review I was going to buy the 6 string version, but figuired I would kick myself later for not getting the 7 string for $50 more. Action was great out of the box. Receivwd it in time, but 1/2 step low lol. Looking for a well made bass for fun, this is it. Keep adding it to more and more songs on our set list

Product Review This bass has incredible feel and tone. It's my first 7 string but I've owned many other 4s and 5s. This bass has great balance and is kinda light. Paul was great in getting me hooked up with this. Couldn't be happier!!

Product Review I took order of this Bass as a dent and scratch. Just a small ding underneath near the plug in jack. I can live with that. Tone Monster is an understatement. I'm naming this bass BEHEMOTH!
