Product Review This is quite literally the lightest and easiest bass I have every played. Sound is immaculate for being a single non-active pickup. And she’s also nice to look at. 10/10 would recommend!

Product Review I’ve been playing Bass from the age of 16. I’m in my 50’s now. I can’t get over how incredible this Ibanez 5 string sounds. Super light. Beautiful low tone! Sounds good plugged into any Bass amp!! I’m so glad AMS was selling this Bass. I absolutely recommend this Bass for beginners and Experts. Also AMS has got to be the best music store to go to. Thank You again AMS. You’ve always come through with the Best of the Best!

Product Review I bought this bass to add a 5 string to the studio. It has a good feel and balance. I find myself grabbing it over my other basses quite often.

Product Review Received my bass in great condition. Delivery was fast as it always is from AMS. This this guitar feels great. The neck radius is just right for my hand, the action is good. I'm putting some Ernie Ball flatwound strings on to eliminate the string noise. Overall I'm very satisfied with this Ibanez bass. Thanks AMS for always taking care of my needs.

Product Review Hi I am a professional bassist. I ordered this bass and received it in tact!! Once out the box I only had to adjust bridge a little. I tested it at home and was blown away at the power of the one pick up output. Even the Low B was fat and tight not flappy!! Though it is a passive bass it gives my active bass a run for it's money. I played it through my fender rumble 200 watt at church and it sounded great and clean very please with the quality and even the look and flare of it. The bass catches your eye immediately ! Can't beat the price a little under $300 dollars! WOW. Way to go Ibanez!! Thanks

Product Review Opening the box I wasn't super impressed, however after changing strings to Ernie Balls and doing a quick setup it definitely improved. This little thing can get some heavy tone when ran through GT-1B. It's light, doesn't take up too much space and is fun to play. It has become one of my favorite basses.

Product Review I have no complaints for this bass, it was set up great out of the box and it exceeded all my expectations. It plays great and the single bridge pickup sounds great clean or with some distortion. Tuning stability is great and it has great sustain. Overall this is an amazing bass for the price.

Product Review I was shocked by the quality and setup on this entry-level Ibanez Bass. Either the Ibanez Indonesia factory has stepped up their game, or AMS at least doesn't ship out the duds. Never purchased from AMS before, but once you buy you are hooked (stop sending me those $20 off coupons). VERY satisfied customer.

Product Review The Ibanez GSR105EX Bass is a nice value bass. The neck was straight. The action was nice and low. The neck profile made it very comfortable to play. The passive pickup has quite a growl to it. It is so light. Mine weighed just over 6 pounds. Strings were the weak link on the bass, which you would expect on a bass at this price. They were really rough on the fingers, even for an experienced bass player. They were changed out immediately, and it greatly improved the sound, and they saved my fingers from further trauma. I enjoy playing it. I think it is a good starter bass for those who want to explore a 5 string without a big investment.

Product Review 1st-great price for what you get - no more or less. 2nd- Re: Mahogany Oil naming - this guitar hasn't ever been in the Zipcode of Mahogany but I guess the stain is Mahogany colored - sort of. Review: The bridge is fine and the intonation and action is fine. This guitar is like my old 'Cuda - the harder you drive it the better it gets. It shines on more aggressive stylings; tho I don't like slapping and popping this thing sounds excellent for that. I use this mainly for recording so as far as sound - the one giant 'bucker is fine as I run Bass thru EQ's and compressors anyway on my DAW. Having the low B, 5 extra notes is the key here for stoop-down bad-ass low-ness. For 2 bills it's too nice. •••• d:D

Product Review I've been playing bass for close to 20 years and I've only owned and played Fender. I recently joined a new project that requires a 5 string bass, and I absolutely cannot stand the massive necks on them. Sorry Fender, you've lost me on this one. The Ibanez GRSR105EX 5 String is beyond comfortable and just as important, it sounds amazing. It's simple with one pickup, volume and tone and that's all you need. The neck is slim for a 5 string. The neck doesn't have gloss on the back so it's easy to slide around while you're walking or shredding. It has a great punch and is beefy. Perfect for jazz to punk rock. Those are all those pros, there's only one con and it's very minor. I wish it was a little heavier. This bass is super light. Other than that, it's perfect!

Product Review I was looking to upgrade my bass collection to add a 5 string. Well, I saw this bass for under $200 and I was thinking it had to be too good to be true. I was thinking if a 5 string is like $200 there's gotta something fishy about, but the nevertheless I ordered it and it came the next day. As soon as I plugged it in to my amp and starting playing, I fell in love with it and it sounded excellent. Definitely would recommend for an entry level 5 stringer.

Product Review I have had many bass guitars starting with my first...an Epiphone 4 string in used condition back in 1965. I have owned many brands since then though I am a guitarist by trade. This Ibanez GSR 105 can be bright and twangy or a smooth speaker popping low....There were no sharp fret wires, the finish is good, the low B string has no notable warble and washout like a lot of inexpensive 5 string basses do. The string spacing is fine for me and I do not have small fingers. If I had anything I would change it would be the input jack location because when at church playing, I sit, and my leg and the cord sometimes the slug it out over territory....But people of a more compact size would not find that much of an issue. The action is good not any noticeable string buzz. The machine heads seem to stay locked. Over all much better quality for the price. I'll see after a few month's....if I have anything to add.
