I just received my Ibanez GSR205 5 String today. I didn't need to do any adjustments. There were no sharp edges on the frets. The sound is excellent. The bass is very lightweight. Great low end. Thank you AMS for everything. Great easy terms if you are on a budget. Always quick, fast delivery. Definitely recommend AMS for all musical gear b

Just received this after a month on preorder. And can’t even play it because of the horrible set up! Came untuned and when tuned so much fret buzz it makes you out it down!!!! Don’t recommend!!!!

So I started out with custom expensive basses. I went to another store and caught me an Ibanez Gio GSR105EX and thought why in the world did I spend all that money on equipment and bases constantly trading and that bass cost $200 and sounded so much better no upgrades needed. I got this bass and it is a true upgrade. The growl, AMS's factory setup, and the small bass knob is no joke. I been playing and gigging on a serious note 15+ years and I'm an Ibanez Gio baby. I started out with the Genz Benz, Ken Smith's, Brubaker, Fender. It's all hype. AMS delivered my GSR205 in 2 days and it is pre setup and a true upgrade to the bass I could have kept my whole life. GSR105. AMS, IBANEZ, and GIO baby. Don't believe the hype or even care about amps. Get a good cab and a GIO bass. Play On! A+

Hey guys I wrote a review for this guitar and it was a 4 star review, I have made some corrections if you will about this Bass
1) The pots are cheap, but I had 2 that simply weren't tightened down, simply pull the knob off and gently but firmly tighten the nut on the pot and your golden.
2) I made some ever so slight adjustments on the bridge saddles on the E string and the G string on mine all it took was about a half turn on both screws now zero buzzing and still plays great virtually unnoticeable playing wise.
So with just a little patience and a touch of work You will have an outstanding instrument to play live or record with. Great Affordable Bass Guitar by Ibanez

I received my bass yesterday via fedex and it arrived in perfect shape. so I remove some of the film covers tune it up, and the action was perfect, the neck was perfect, stays in tune. Intonation was spot on. however there were a couple of issues I will mention
1) The fret wires on both sides were not dressed in, they would and will cut you! I took a fine metal file and dressed both sides now it is smooth and very comfortable to play.
2) The boost knob is a joke, its wobbly and you got to be super easy with it or "Boom" its gone
3) Same problem as the Boom knob with the tone sweep knob very wobbly and cheaply made. It doesnt make sense to cut manufacturing cost on something as important as the controls you will be using alot.
4) Pickups are ok but they need help, they are certainly no Bartalinis .
To Sum Up, Its a nice little bass sounds really good with some help very playable and comfortable. I will probably replace the pots on this thing and replace the pickups with Bartalinis. Truly you get what you pay for. I am on a tight budget right now but this guitar is worth upgrading if you have the knowledge.

This is a great starter, practice bass or to use at church, good quality and easy on your wallet but the strings were rough on my fingers and they didn’t last very long, would recommend changing strings immediately, at this time I’ve owned it for 2 months , practice every other day and I have not had any issues yet

What an awesome company! I had a higher end version of this before. It plays just like that one did. Arrived a day earlier than they said it would, but kept me posted. No surprises. I worked for the competition quite a while a few years ago. But they would not finance me. I will get a amp from AMS as soon as I get this paid off.

I’m amazed of how good of a bass this is for the price! Great tone, feel and quality. The ability to adjust the built in low, mid, high eq and bass boost feature is a plus. Also looks even better in person! If your on a budget and need a good bass to get the job done, wether in the studio or live, I highly recommend this one!!

Our church was recently robbed and one of the item stolen was our bass guitar. We are an inner city church in Austin, Tx. We work with addicts and feed people.. physically, mentally, but most importantly Spiritually. Obviously we ain’t got much money. So without too much money, I replaced our bass with this model. I have played this bass for over 3 months and thoroughly enjoy it. It played well right out of the box and it is harmonically properly tuned. I am getting used to playing a 5 sting instead of a 4 string Rickenbacker. Over all I recommend it. The sound is very adjustable and after restringing it with GHS Pressure wounds it plays with a familiar feel. The value for the price is very good.

Really Nice bass, strings not good at all had to replace them fast.
Foe the money that I paid for is not what I got. I think AMS sent me the wrong one. just kidding. All I can say is WoW.
