Judging from the pictures, it looked like other soft guitar cases I've used. But in reality, it is very light and flexible, not what I was expecting. It's a bag not a case and doesn't provide much protection. As a bag though, it's nicely made and has a lot of great features.

I got this gig bag for the acoustic guitar I bought for my wife. This bag is really well made and looks great. The sides and bottom are reinforced with what looks like suede and the stitching is very good. It is padded all around and aside from something severe, I believe it will protect the guitar very well. It has plenty of pockets for all of the essentials, like picks tuners, and cables. The straps are a bonus, although I don't see myself or my wife trekking around with the guitar on our back any time soon. But, they're nice to have, just in case.

It was a great bag. Unfortunately it didn’t fit the guitar I had an Ibanez 12 string - it was not long enough to accommodate the headstock of the guitar. If it was a regular 6 string it would have been fine. I sent it back with no problems.

Just purchased an Ibanez PNB14E from AMS and fell in love with it so I had to make sure I had a decent case for it. This is more robust than a "bag" but even though it is not a case. I am in love with my new acoustic guitar gig bag. It is very well made. Has a multitude of useful size pockets. Three practical and comfortable ways to transport, from the adjustable padded shoulder straps and side carrying handle to the webbing loop strap at the top back of the neck end, together with a convenient hanging loop for placing on a coat hook to save space. Best of all, I really appreciate the stylish color combinations offered, as nearly everyone has a black gig bag. I chose the moss green and tan, which compliments my wardrobe, other instrument bags and brings pleasure to my eye.

Well constructed, offer many ways to carry and for a soft bag offer good protection but if protection is a c9ncern, get a hard case. Stiching is done well and the zipper zips smoothly. I would however liked if it came with a shoulder strap. There are Dlinks for one but no strap with the bag.

I love the case; my Epiphone Masterbuilt fits perfectly in it. It has ample padding and protection, plenty of zipped compartments for typical items. It is very well made, and really looks nice. My son is using it to carry his acoustic to class and it withstands his toughness tests as well. I am very pleased and a bit surprised at how nicely this bag worked out. I recommend it.

The gig bag is sturdy, far lighter than I expected and most importantly it looks awesome and unique. Amidst the sea of floppy, dull gray and black gig bags of other musicians, I can always pick mine out right away. The strong handles and straps are placed in convenient and intuitive spots. The thing never slips off my back, zippers never jam, and I'm always confident that my guitar is safe but also easily accessible. My past gig bags have always left me doubtful, hanging loosely around my instrument, and unsure as to whether or not the zip system would jam and I'd be able to get my guitar out in time to go on stage at an open mic or something. The Ibanez Powerpad is perfect.

Like all Ibanez products, the quality is first rate, and this line of gig bags is really good looking - a great alternative to Boring Basic Black. Also, with its distinctive style, it's easy to grab your own bag from the pile, at the end of the jam.
On the minus side, as others have pointed out, it would have been nice to have a bit more padding; however, a gig bag, no matter how well padded, is never a substitute for a "real" case. The Powerpad does have more cushion than any other bag in this price range, and as long as you're careful, your axe will be okay.
Overall, this bag is a very well made, great looking, and a really good value, especially at American Musical's price point and free shipping.
