Great little bass for in my house playing solo or with a couple of friends. Plugged in would be good for gigs. Like the ease of play and sound. Exceeds my expectations. Beautiful open pore finish and love the white binding on body, neck and headstock. I've had this instrument about two weeks.

I love the looks of this small bass guitar. Great for a beginner such as myself. It has a nice string action so as not to create a buzz when pressing the strings even for me.
The quality of the color and wood grain is is easy on the eyes to what to make beautiful music together.
I give it a 5 of of 5 for cost as well.

Ok so I just bought this for my mom who needed something to practice bass on and she was going to meet me at a tent revival, when I got there they needed a bass player and asked me to play. So I had zero gear so we plugged straight into the board and started the service. Holy... (bass) this thing sounds amazing, easy to play (other then getting the acoustic guitar arm) and so light. I didn't sound at all what I was expecting there were people with really puzzled looks trying to figure out where that amazing bass was coming from it blew me away so much so that I asked her if I could borrow it to play live again. It was so tight in the pocket and I just know this would sound great recorded. I highly recommend this bass it sounds great live and you can practice unplugged.

I bought this as a gift for my wife and she loves it! Well made, very pretty to look at, and easy to play for someone with smaller hands. The payment plans American Musical Supply offers are great as well. Makes it easier to get started playing with a nice piece of gear and not be hard on your wallet!

I was looking for a compact acoustic bass for practice and learning new songs. This little gem fit the bill perfectly!
The built in tuner works nicely. The battery installation is very convenient with the slide out tray. I haven't tried it plugged in yet but I'm sure it will sound just fine.
It's just the right size to sit at my kitchen table and play at a volume that doesn't disturb anyone sitting just a few feet away. No need to drag an amp out and set it up then find a place to stand out of the way to play like with any of my electrics.
Is it a "professional quality" acoustic suitable for gigging? Not really. BUT.....it IS a nice, very playable short scale best suited for practice/learning or a low volume acoustic living room jam or maybe sitting around the picnic table having a sing-along jam session.

I'm an old bass player of 47 years.I've got a 61 fender p bass, a a 2003 jaguar,and about 26 other basses I have played over the years but I must say this little Ibanez playes easier & sounds just as good as a lot of my other basses.I changed to flatwounds & it helped a lot.I'll probably play it more than any others from now on..you won't be sorry
