Product Rating Product Review Totally disappointed when unboxed.i have bought several guitars over the years online.never needed to write a review.but this one is needed!no series logo or pickup rings like in the stock photo needed a major setup sharp fret edges.and I mean sharp! Own the Japan factory built rg550. Perfect action strait out of the box... poor quality control with this .. had the inspector tag but nothing on it.. very curious about that

Great Guitar But Not Setup

Product Review At no fault to AMS, this guitar comes from Ibanez without any setup. The frets were course (sandy felling) and the action was real high, mostly due to the frets being unlevel. This is a beautiful guitar and sounds great. Just keep in mind that you'll likely either need to do a full setup including fret leveling once you get it.

The guitar plays and performs like any other guitar. Its you who makes it pleasant or not

Product Review I just had to pop in and say.... I think its funny everyone sends the guitar back in stead of dealing with what you were given. Just about every guitar I purchase has a weird fret or a particular tuner that won't hold through a song... tinker with it yourself, are you the same people who send a burger back when you ordered no onions no pickles, but low and behold theres a damn pickle? Take them off yourself and move on, same thing with these guitars. And yes this guitar is fantastic whether it comes to you perfect or not.

Guitar Is Heavy

Product Review Over all the guitar is good. But heavier than expected. Padded strap helps but, will contribute to fatigue playing standing for long periods. If you can afford it get the Jiva10 much easier to play standing for long periods.

Solid Ibanez guitar

Product Review + It looks great. The maple neck complements the darker body color very nicely. + Double-locking tremolo system keeps the guitar in-tune, even after big whammy bar tricks. + Two controls: Volume and Tone. Great for those of us who want to spend more time playing and less time fiddling with settings. + Factory pickups are great (and high-output). DiMarzio pickups will be better, but the stock pickups don't lack. - Some setup is required, but that's true for all locking tremolo system guitars. *** This is another solid Ibanez guitar (definitely not cheap or basic), and it's well worth the price.

Product Review I bought the Ibanez RG 470 because it is beautiful and cheap. And when it came, I was right on about the looks but I found nothing Cheap about it except the price. I would think this guitar should be $800 + It has everything I want or need. The body is swamp ash which gives a warm tone and the top is stained blue to green. The fretboard is maple which gives it a smooth mid and high texture, and the 24 frets gives you extra range. That would be enough but the neck being the acclaimed wizard neck makes it a breeze to play. One more feature, the double locking Tremelo. Not just a copy, but an Ibanez Edge Pro II. It hasn't lost tune yet, and I have put it to the test. Add the pickup configuration and custom pickup switching. Wow, this thing rocks and Owning more than 10 guitars, this guitar will see a lot of stage time.

Product Review My wife bought this guitar for me, and her reason for choosing this particular model was entirely based on the fact that she liked the color. The photos do not do this guitar justice. It is gorgeous. While I have owned upwards of 50 different guitars in my lifetime, I had never owned an Ibanez. Had always stuck with Fender and Gibson mostly, and had never really explored other brands. Having had this guitar in my hands at every opportunity over the 17 days since it arrived, I am at a loss to explain what a joy this is to play. Makes me want to kick myself for never picking one up and feeling how wonderful the neck feels, how easy it is to fret notes, and how nice it sounds. I'm not a crazy trem manipulator, but on the occasion when I do use it, this guitar bounces straight back to perfect tuning. Setup was great out of the box. As this is currently my only electric, I will be checking out more Ibanez products when I get the itch to buy another.
