It needs a 9 volt battery then plug into your amp and play. cool ass finish on the entire guitar. Very pleased.

This bass is as important as the Ibanez Roadstars of yesterday and the Soundgears of today, a totally uniquely voiced instrument. The satin finish gives it a comfortable broken in feel, and the seemingly simple design lacks for nothing. A seasoned pro and journeyman would both be right at home on this familiar feeling neck, and it's the least intimidating fretless I've ever picked up. All the expected tones are there, it's just waiting for you to add your unique voice. Well done Ibanez, you've built another iconic and legendary bass.
