The bass needed a litter adjust to the Trussrod from the box (and I am no expert but found a couple YouTube videos and was easy enough). That was my only problem not worth to bring this BEAST of a bass from 5 to 4 stars. The feeling of the Neck, the sound, nothing feels cheap on this bass, actually its the opposite. I have a friend that has a >$2500 custom made bass and he was supper impress with the quality and sound of my SRMS-805.
To be honest, the color on the pictures doesn't show how beautiful the real color of this bass is.
First Multi-scale bass too, I got used to it after like 30min of addictive playing. You wont regret it.

I wanted a bass for lower tunings and this has the length to maintain great clarity and tone for that. I mostly play modern metal/ djent, deathcore, death metal, doom metal,
thrash, but I also need around with a ton of effects for some shoegaze stuff and the variety of tone you get with the on board preamp is amazing and I love the bypass is the battery dies. I like the pickups too. The multiscale took less than 30 minutes to get used to and I think I prefer it for 5 string bass it's very comfortable and natural. Ibanez killed it on this one. This thing sounds pianoesce because of the length and I love it and can't recommend it enough.

A Christmas/B-Day gift for my son. Everything works, feels good, sounds extremely powerful through a Bergantino Forte amp. Replacing the factory battery and replacing the factory strings with Black Beauties brought it to life. Highly recommended.

I played one of these in a guitar shop in late 2019 and fell in love with it. This bass just fits my hands, plays effortlessly, and has perfect balance. You might think that the fanned frets would be an issue but if anything it adds to the comfort. Out of the box, it was set up really well and the intonation was spot on.

multiscale definitely changes the tension of the strings...no floppy bottom ...i love the cut of laminate on this one...overall a light bass compared to the logs of the past..i have noticed no difference in the slanted frets...i play as i always do.. it made no difference in playability..i play this bass daily and it is very easy to play...straightened the neck and lowered the strings before it could be played...quality check was not evident on this or the other two i had before this one...but with ams, no dissatisfied customer here...they are the greatest..i owe ams for enabling me and many other musicians the opportunity to own quality gear on monthly payments..thank you AMS..

I wanted another fan fret/multi scale bass to back up my dingwall. I decided to check out this Ibanez and came away very pleased. The bass plays and sounds great. I would easily recommend as a cheaper alternative to Dingwall type Basses.

Very comfortable Bass to play the Frets feel more natural while playing and easier to move around on. Also a more defined B-String. Pickups sound good but are nothing special and same with the Pre Amp they function but could have been better with Nordstrands and a different Pre. All in all it is a very good bass both sound wise and playability wise and worth the price.

Overall an amazing sound when on a gig or just practicing at home. You will not be disappointed with this one. Has excellent tone all across the fretboard no matter the tone settings you choose. Highly recommend. I have always loved Ibanez and their slimmer necks for players with smaller hands.

Ok... first off, the fanned frets are amazing. The extra scale is incredible... If you need it. The tonal qualities are insane! The pickups and electronics are on point. The finish is stunning. The neck... well... it took me a while to feel comfortable with it. It’s “chunky.” I had a hard time getting it set up to make it feel good. The string height from the factory Was really high!

This bass has it all! Lightweight, thin, fast neck, great electronics and and beautiful wood top. I couldn't be more pleased and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new 5 string. Thanks to AMS for the fast next day shipping!

I kept putting off, but all the product reviews and YouTube demos of this just couldn’t let me not get it. It’s a pleasure to learn on. This is my first bass so don’t ask for my comparison to a 4-string or a standard fret instrument, I have nothing to compare to. Love it!

This bass is amazing. The different tones I get from this bass floored me. I initially thought the multi-scale would take me sometime to get used, but it didn't take long at all. After a couple of hours of playing this bass I adjusted quickly. I recommend this bass if you're looking to upgrade or if you're looking for a bass that has great tonality, and punch, this is the one to get.

Exceptional quality. The overall tone control and customization took a little getting used to but overall My favorite quality of the bass. I never missed a beat with the multi-scale fretboard, sometimes I forget It's different until someone points it out.
