I’ve been searching for years for the perfect midi control surface! I’ve always been drawn to this! Yeah you see a lot of bad reviews through various sites, but don’t listen to it! Those are from people who don’t know what they’re doing and don’t know how to contact the U.S. Icon Pro technical support, also Mixware! It was super easy to set up! Instructions are simple, but some can’t comprehend simple! And it’s basically a computer, you have to treat it like one! I’ve already ordered an extender, should get it in a few days. I just wish that American Musical still sold them! I called them and asked and they are working on trying to get them back in stock! Easy people to work with all around, if you just know what numbers to call!

As the title says # bought this originally for PT work however Avid hasn't put out the pertinent drivers to be able to fully use this surface with PT and get everything out of it you want to. (Master Track automation not available for example)
Overall when using it with logic pro however, it's super intuitive. Audio, midi, aux, all tracks laid out and available to you at the push of a button

I use LPX so, this controller may work differently on other DAWs. MIDI assignments/mapping doesn't always work well. The meters often stick and often don't represent the true value of channel gain. Even after recalibration and firmware updates, I still have issues. Also, I wish I could turn off the touch to select channel feature. I've turned the sensitivity back and attempted however, without it the fader doesn't recognize change. I find it hard to control plugins and sends. I also wish the size of the design was made to fit in a standard 19" rack. I have an open desk with a 19" space in the center that the unit sits on top of.
The good about this controller is that it connects well and is built sturdy. Calibration is easy. Also, the faders make for quick and easy control of levels. Again, it may work differently with different DAW's but if you're a LPX user, I would recommend something different.

Great board. As soon as I hooked it up with the USB cables it automatically detected my system. I’m saving now to get another board to go right with it. The expander. I Benchley want to have total 24 track control. Another product that I’m very happy withAmerican musical.

I purchased this to replace an older, early 2000's DAW controller. I have read many different reviews and researched different products, and this does what I need it for. I use it on a Win10 PC, with Cakewalk by Bandlab. It ties in solid with it, with only one issue - the "Master Fader" LEDs on the upper panel do not operate, but that is due to a limit with the Mackie protocol, not the product itself. (I hear it functions under REAPER). I operate with probably 50% mouse use and 50% manual buttons, but I love the tactile feel of having faders under my fingers. The jog wheel is a bit smooth on the sides, and the divit on the top is small. Small incremental scrolling is sometimes a pain because of that. I also purchased a button panel from ICON that is printed with the Cakewalk button assignment (as well as a chip embedded in the panel for Cakewalk).

I have been in recording for over 20 years. I am use to mixing on large consoles. The icon qcon Pro X control surface is absolutely amazing. The motorized faders work extremely well. I do lots of automating and it works perfectly. It works with every DAW I own! No problems with anything! I was up and running 15 mins out of the box! Im about to place my order for one extender to expand my channels.i most definitely recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a professional quality control surface.

I received a replacement unit, due to the fact the LCD screen was loose when I opened the box. Icon stated they was dealing with the manufacture of the specific part on that issue. They were in touch daily on comments. No actual tech support number to call. The unit faders clicks all the time. Even after calibrating faders at various levels. It is not loud but if your in a quiet control room it can drive you nuts because it dont stop, even when disconnecting the USB cable. Its like being tortured with water dripping on your head and your hands are tied up. I put an SPL meter near the sound and it jumps .5-.8 average when the clicking happens. Once you play music its not really a bother. Functionality works, easily connects to DAW of choice. Icon stated this should be fixed in firmware updates. AMS has been very good about addressing the issues and replacement. Great box but the company needs to address this fader clicking situation.

I really like this product. It serves very well to control your daw! It’s easy to use and the fact that you can expand it makes it even cooler. It works wonderfully with Logic Pro X and also Garageband. It’s definitely very well made and designed very well. I definitely recommend this to other home studio owners like myself.

This unit works with any DAW, I have 2 and its flawless with them both, easy set up, easy to use, strong and adorable,and could take a beating, it is USB 2.0 which means it will work with win7 and 8 as well, the sliders are accurate and works very well...this is a beast.

The Q Con Pro X started off rocky but once I updated the firmware and cleaned out my audio midi setup everything worked smoothly. The Pro X has not lost connection from my MAC laptop and its been on for a few days. Customer service responded to my initial problem within 2 days and they sent me links to tutorials that help me get my Pro X running properly.
