I was looking for a way to do demos and practicing with head phones. This thing was way better than I expected and I ended up using it to actually record tracks. Very simple and they are gracious with the software you get. Highly recommend and highly recommend American Musical as they gave me a great deal and shipped this super fast!

As someone who lives in a crowded apartment, this is one of the best purchases I could make. I just plug this bad boy into my phone or computer and I’m jamming! No more annoying my neighbors while I try to learn my favorite riffs and licks. I’ve recommended this product to every guitar player I know and a few have jumped on board. It’s cheaper than an amp and an array of pedals. Definitely worth it

Over priced, Free AmpliTube was Leader. Free GarageBand and a camera adapter for iPad/iPhone works better. There is no ability to charge iso while playing. Can run a Scarlett 2x2 with adapter and be a step ahead. I’m not returning this, I will need a Xmas gag gift.

A must have for anyone interested in effects via computer/tablet/phone. Had the previous version and adding the lightning cable makes it that much easier to pair with my ipad/iphone and not having the worry to replace the battery is even better.

Quick delivery, and the no credit check 3 payments is great, my credit sucks but working on making it better and I’m able to make payments so they are making a lot of stuff I couldn’t get unless I saved up more accessible to me. The irig hd2 is great for on the go song writing and don’t drive my roomates crazy and able to o,ay at night and like I said has opened up more possibilities for writing my own music. Super easy to use right our of the box. Super happy with it and recommend any guitar player invest in one

I own the original iRig HD, but recently upgraded my iOS to an iPad air that does not come with a headphone jack. With the original iRig HD, I would occasionally use headphones with my iPad when I needed to watch the noise levels, but I frequently enjoyed just jamming on tones through the iPAd speaker. It was quick and easy. Since I lost my headphone jack with the new iPad, I "upgraded" to the iRig HD 2 because it has a headphone jack! The big problem is the device will not output audio to the iPad, so I MUST use headphones to use the product with the iPad- which is absolutely insane to me. Why IK didn't build the device to give you the option (headphones in, doesn't output to iOS device but outputs to iOS when headphones aren't plugged in) is FATAL flaw with this product. I will likely be returning it. That requirement should be noted in the product details and product instructions.

It’s a handy and easy to use interface. There’s lots of amp packs to purchase for it.. it’s great for when you travel a lot and don’t want to carry around an amp or you want to play quietly. Highly recommended.

So I am brand new to the world of IPhones/Mac. My daughter bought me a new iPhone for my birthday and it wasn’t long before I realized this had garage band installed on it. Guitar junkie that I am I ordered the irig hd2 and began exploring the world of iOS guitar. 3 weeks in I must say it’s been a little hit and miss. B I got both a player and sound engineer I am very picky about the quality of amps/ fx that I play through. So far I have wasted about 30 bucks in apps that I’ve since deleted including Amplitude and Deplike. Just not up to my standard. Tonebridge however has been a pleasant surprise and is my go to guitar app presently.
As far as gigging with the irig hd2 .....let’s just say that that is a bridge too far at this time. Although a lot of these apps sound ok through headphones, some have been just awful through an amp. Tonebridge shines equally both ways in my opinion.
So like I said earlier, I am still on the fence with the whole iOS guitar game.

I had the original iRig from years ago and comparing them side to side... This new iRig "HD" was actually a downgrade. The sound quality was just barely noticeably better but came with a new problem in really bad static.

I was needing something that would work as a direct feed to from my mixer to a mobile device for a FB Live Webcast. I looked on youtube and there were several videos about the iRIG being the way to go for something like this. I got it I tried it I loved it. Super easy to use and works great. I am also a guitarist so I will be using it for that as well. Especially like having access to so many amps etc.
