I purchased a set of these 8 months ago and blew one of the subs already with only 1000watts. They are rated for up to 2000Watts max. I called and since it was past 30 days, American Musical told me I had to deal with the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and they at first refused to help until I called American Musical back. Then, after agreeing to fix them, they are telling me I have to pay for shipping to/from... Shipping to them is $200 and then $200 back. I will never buy JBL again and I will never buy from American Musical again. They don't support the products the sell.

I love the sound of these. They give that warm bass sound that the newer plastic speakers dont have.I use these on top of the jrx 18's and they sound incredible paired together. Ive read issues that the tweeters blow but i own every jrx series speaker and had never blown them.Just make sure you have amp with more power than the rms rating and that your ohm match with the amp and speakers. Okay if your looking for something light these are not the ones for you for these are heavy and that was the only downside to them. But the cabinets being heavy produce that warm bass. I recommend these for djs and bands as they are loud. But make sure u have a strong cart to haul them around.There is a reason why u still see jbls from the 70's still kicking and thats for they make quality

So I’ve had these speakers since March and I absolutely love them. I have a small garage band and all of my instruments are run thru my mixer.Two microphones, the electric piano, guitar and base. All thru the mixer and out these speakers. The sound is so crisp and clean. The lows are deep and the highs so clean. From now on I’m a JBL man when it comes to sound.

I just purchased these speakers last week. My first gig out was a wedding. Before with my pr15 peavey speakers people would say the music was really good. Now with my new JBL JRX225's the party didn't want to end !! I got so many compliments on how awesome the music sounded! Thank you JBL for helping me get to the next level of entertainment !!!! I bought this speaker to replace two other speakers that went out the weekend before at a parade that my daughter was marching in the base quality and sound quality beat the speakers that went out The dance instructor said they even sounded better than the previous parades they were louder and you can hear the quality of music from approximately a block away where the last dancers ended I would suggest these speakers to anyone for a good quality and price

I fell in love with the sound it makes a chill come over my entire body when I first hook them up to my stereo, (must I add I am a Pastor) and the speakers were for the church. I just love the cabinet they came in not only the way they look but also how they were build and when the sound come out its like an open sound so clear. There is nothing to dislike about them. How can there be when it sound so clear. I'm a person that hate to order something and when it come I have to send it back because something was wrong, or it wasn't what I order.
I have been dealing with American Musical Supply over about 1 to 10 years, and yet to get the wrong thing or send something back because they sent me the wrong thing, and its all been on line they makes it so easy to get what I need and with the payment plan I was able to get what I needed, and get it now when I didn't even have all the money up front. I would tell anyone that this is the way to go and there prices are just right and afforable.

The high end and low end is clearly way better than any PA speakers I've owned. Along with a set of Behringer sub woofers it all sounds great for My Clasic 60's Rock Band.

Have had four Peaveys. Been DJing for six years. Selling my Peaveys.

Bought these and powered them with my pmp 6000. The lows are great for kick drums and bass.the horns and top 15 focus more on the mids highs for guitars and vocals. Highly impressed!

Well I have the same problem with mine as others. The horns gone all six of them at once. Then I was told it was misuse before. They sounded great, but now with the horns gone you have to wonder if the crossover is any good.

Purchased a pair 4 years ago. Horn died on one after a year. No repair shop in my state so I replaced with factory replacement from another merchant in 2015. It died again last night during a wedding gig, so guess i'll replace again. When they're working they are awesome. So 3 stars for an obvious issue.

well, initially it was good but after about five gigs the tweeter stopped working on one of the speakers...no problem they were only one year old and had the three year warranty from JBL and the additional one year from AMS. Called AMS and they referred me to JBL only to find out they wanted me to send in to a service shop, problem was there is not one in my state, now I'm excepted to deliver speaker 300 miles away to get looked at! guess we'll have to cancel all gigs until it comes back. Wow, poor warranty coverage.

They are a great pa to start with i have them hooked up to a crown xls 2500 and they sound really good like a lot of 90's club and Metal if you have customers out there that love five finger death punch are club music are any type these are a really good buy.
