These speakers works well with the PRX815XLFW. I just need to gain stage the input and output using the PRX connect app, the output DB on all unit need to match each other. Not gain staging properly will hit input limiter even at low volume. Once set properly it is very hard to hit the limiter on them as they are tremendously loud. Our event was done in a 8000 (yes thousand) cubic ft space and we fill the ballroom with clean and clear sound, we can even hear wall and ceiling rattle. All unit did not even get warm and did not use any of the built in fan, the fan was probably not needed for indoor event. Do not use the 12 or 2 o'clock setting, use the PRX connect APP.

I’ve been using these speakers for two years. When they work they’re great. However, the limit light comes on for anything. I don’t find the wireless app easy to use.
I’ve had to replace horns and woofers on two of them, had an amp go bad in another and now got another woofer that has seemed to go bad. I try not to push them. But according to their specs, they should be able to handle more than they do.

I have the 2 15’s of these. I wanted to add 2 12’s that can be used as monitors at larger DJ gigs or just a small add on for weddings. I almost feel like I like these 12 inch speakers better than the 15 inch ones. Great sound. Low end is great! They are lightweight (great for transporting) I highly suggest getting the covers. These are amazing looking but from my experience before it’s easier to keep them from getting scuffed or scratch with the covers. I highly recommend these for anyone looking for some small PA speakers that can produce some big sound or someone looking to add some extra thump to the DJ booth as monitors. Can’t go wrong either way.

I have used JBL speakers for years. They are reliable and can handle years of use. This is the first pair of active JBL's I have owned. The reason I gave 3 stars is because they are still a new purchase and I have yet to see how they hold up. They put out the same SPL as a pair of active 15's rated at 2000w.
The wood cabinets are nice and I like the finish they use.

I finally got the chance to really spend some time with these speakers. And I don't know what I been doing all this time! Let me say right away, get the app! While they'll do the job without it, the app gets you to really open up and work these bad boys. They can really push some low end and give that crisp tone all at the same time. I can't wait to get the 15" sub. I can't imagine how these 3 will work together.

I was really looking for a lightweight powerful 12 inch speaker that could give me the coverage I’ve been need for a while and found that in this. The PRX812W’s give me that power and then some after you tone them. By their selves or paired with a sub hands down my favorite speaker for every venue

These are the best power speakers IHOP purchase I have done several events at each event I have ran across another DJ wanting to know where I got it from oh how did I get them to sound that way and recommend them to American Music. Light weight cabinets make for easy load in/out and set up.

I bought a pair to match our 815 subs. We already were using a complete 700 series package and needed a small setup system so went with 800 series. What an improvement. Love being able to make dsp processing adjustments via WiFi in the speakers.

I use these with two 15inch and two 18inch subs, I must say the top end you get out of Prx812 is unbelievable I was a bit worried at first and thinking to upgrade to the Prx815 but I have no doubts anymore about the 812's. Reason for the 4 stars I would have love to be able to download the control app to my phone.
PS.I am from Trinidad and if anyone knows we love loud at our events!

I have been using a pair of JBL PRX612M speakers for an extensive amount of my DJ gigs for a few years now. I am also a professional musician and use them for small band gigs. The JBL PRX612M speakers are powerful and only weigh 34.5 lbs. However, they were getting old. I skipped the JBL PRX700 series because of the weight. When I saw that the JBL PRX812W speakers were only 6 lbs. heavier and had DSP that could be controlled wirelessly with an app I purchased a pair from AMS with 12 easy payments!! Can't beat that!! The first thing I did was compare them side by side to the PRX612M speakers. They are definitely louder, clearer and have more bass. I will be exploring the DSP section once I hit a few venues for gigs. I am very excited about these speakers and now I have a nice pair of PRX612M speakers for backup or to add more sound. JBL is always at the top of my list!
