If you want that pulp tone, this is the device you need. Super easy-to-use. I hope to add more later after playing with it more but it is a compressor. DI in is a great option.

I start with the knobs at noon and play with them until I get to the sound I'm looking for. I have had this pedal for a few weeks and I still love tweaking it. To me the dirt settings is a little to much compression but other than that it is perfect for me.

I’m more of a Keeley Compressor Plus fan, when you turn one of those in it’s like oh yeah! The Pulp n Peel, however is much more subtle and more of a tone-shaper. I have a Katana boost immediately after and they work well together.
The dirt switch is useless for me. It has a strong bump in the midrange that colors the tone too much. Maybe if you don’t have an overdrive..
All in all it’s a great pedal, but given the choice again, I’d probably go with the Keeley again.

I play acoustic guitar and this little pulp n peel tightens everything up and smoothing out my attacks and tone perfectly. The blend function is the key to the sweetest comoression that only you will know is there.

I’ve owned many different compressor pedals and this is by far my favorite! This is actually the second one I’ve owned and I can only see myself replacing this one on my pedalboard if JHS releases v5. The dirt switch on this pedal is the secret weapon to my guitar tone. Also great customer service and fast shipping from AMS!
