These powered studio monitors are as eye catching as they are pleasant to the ears. Some have mentioned that they are noisy, however, this is only when they and the interface are cranked up. These meet my expectation, as I most often use them for my Key plugins (Omnisphere, Ivory II and Keyscape) and my Kemper Profiler. Nice full frequency range works for all instruments including bass and drums.

I just love the sounds that come from out of the LP6’s
I’ve listened to a lot of the songs I made. And understand why studio monitors are something that you need if your trying to take your music to the next level. I’ve been making music for years with headphones or stereo speakers. Now my setup looks professional. Thanks AMS for letting me be a Rockstar in my Hip Hop world. I would most definitely recommend these Monitors.

What can I say, they are monitors, however if you are mixing with headphones, you are probably messing up. These monitors have great sound for the price, very nuanced, responsive and balanced. I couldn’t be happier. Got them in white and they look really cool too.

These upgraded my entire studio space. Monitors are really, really important, especially for small operations - and these are the absolute best you can get at this price. I love mine, the low end is clear but not overpowering and overall, it has an incredibly flat response. 10/10.

I bought also some good grade three pin cables to connect to the monitors which helped the sound . They were a great find for the money!! I also love American music!!

I promise you that even if you've been working in a professional studio your whole life that if you heard these then saw the price you'd say the same thing! Clean sound, no hissin at high volumes. Low freq's are deep. The sound settings on the back are great because you can adjust according to room size and placement. Bottom line you get just as good, if not possibly better for half the price as the "top monitors".. you won't be disappointed

These are the best speakers you can buy for under $300. They very accurately give you the whole spectrum of whatever you're listening to, without overhyping anything. People who are bass-obsessed (much to the chagrin of their mixes, I'm sure) might opt for the larger ones for $100 more or whatever, but these little guys crank out all the bass I need, and I find my mixes are coming out better already - and I'm just getting used to these. They have excellent options for tuning to your room, though the little dip switches aren't everyone's favorite, and these guys just sound good. The "sweet spot" is wide and they just sound GOOD. Love them so much already!

So I was a little hesitant when buying them as I never was able to hear them in person and was only going off of reviews. To my surprise, the monitors were much larger than I expected. Heavy and solid quality as well. THE SOUND IS EXCELLENT. Have I heard better? Sure. Have I heard better in this price range? NOT EVEN CLOSE. I consider myself an audiophile and I am a television producer, editor, and director. I am also in charge of a production company with a tight budget and several editors who need/expect exceptional quality tools to work with. THESE MEET AND EXCEED ALL MY NEEDS AND EXPECTATIONS. Try them out - you will be impressed.
In the words of Ferris Bueller - "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."
*** ON ANOTHER NOTE - many people complain of "white noise of hiss" coming from the speakers when not in use. I am not sure what kind of quintessential audio utopia that these people work in, but I work in a studio with an editing suite and thousands of dollars of equipment. I can honestly say that my laptop fan makes more noise than the monitors. I also have a feeling that they are using crappy audio interfaces or streaming highly compressed music/videos. I.E. - Crap in, crap out. The bottom line is you will not find a better pair of studio monitors anywhere near this price point.

I upgraded from a very small set of passive monitors and I've experienced an immediate growth in quality on my mixes. The amount of clarity these provide compared to what I had been using is astronomical, and at the price they come for, there's barely any competition. These are amazing.
Only thing I can say is that they are HUGE. They're about the same size as what I would've expected 8 inch monitors to be.

They were absolutely worth the price. I get so much low end out of a 6” woofer! If you are in the market for home studio monitors, these will fit the bill. As always, I use a combination of monitors for reference. They are not high powered but powerful enough to get the point across. I may try the 8” woofer when the time comes but these are doing the job. I would recommend them for sure.

I just got my Kali's tonight. Hooked them up and I am impressed. Spent the past 3 plus hours listening to familiar tracks from many different genres instead of sleeping. What a pleasure. Very accurate reproduction. Lots of stuff that I missed before is standing out. In a good way. And after 3+ hours no ear fatigue. But I've got to sleep sometime. Maybe tomorrow. Buy these monitors. They are a great value.

These monitors are the best deal you’re going to find. They are bigger than I expected, which was a good thing. The stereo field is amazing. When you listen to a mono track panned center, it sounds like there’s a third speaker in front of you. To me the speakers sound very transparent and have enough bass to mix without adding a subwoofer. They are perfect for my home studio and feel like they’ll last a long time.

American Musical as usual sent this to me in no time at all! One thing I realized is that, having listened to home stereo speakers for most of my life, I wasn't used to hearing flat speakers. So I had to sort of rethink how I hear things through these speakers. After listening to a lot of my favorite songs through them, I kind of got the gist of what flat speakers do. They sound fantastic!! Properly recorded music seem to almost float outside of the speakers! they are loud as heck too! I've had these speakers for a little over a week now. They really surprised me and my ears! Gotta Love Em'!!

I have just finished my first mix on these speakers and I’m so happy with the results. Crisp highs, punchy mids and boomy lows. Couldn’t be happier. Go look up the story about how Kali Audio came to be. They all worked for JBL and left to start their own company )with permission from their wives) lol and they nailed it. Don’t even hesitate. I've compared these monitors to several others in the same price range, as well as some others that are priced higher. I have been blown away by the quality of these speakers, especially when keeping their price in mind. The stereo soundstage is pretty impressive, once they're positioned properly. I would recommend a stand at the least, and a set of isolating foam pads have helped even more. The dip switches on the back of the speakers provide complete customization of the sound no matter how they're positioned in the room, and the design is aesthetically pleasing. If you're looking for a set of monitors in this price range, look no further.

I replaced my Samson resolve 65a monitors with the Kali lp 6 6.5 monitors. The difference is incredible. The range is more clean and distinct. The adjustments on the back cover every set up and are responsive, Great for the home studio. Mixes on every genre is tighter cleaner and clear. I should have up graded years ago. I'm new to modern studio monitors so I wasn't really sure what to expect. At first they seemed a bit stiff but now after pushing sound through them for the couple of months that I've had them plus adding a Presonus Studiolive mixer they opened right up. My current synths (Yamaha MODX8 & MOOG Matriarch) came alive when I switched from a keyboard amp and all the sloppy flaws in my guitar technique that I don't hear unamped were exposed because of the sonic clarity. I'm quite happy and more than a little impressed with the low frequency response as well though at some point I'll invest in a subwoofer but there's no real need for now. The construction seems sturdy so no worries there either.

I'd like to concider myself as an audiophile but without too much experience. These things sound incredible. I've sat in front of these in all types of positions. The shape around the tweeter aims the sound perfectly. Tone is awesome no need for 3 ways. Bass,well lets say no.need for subwoofer unless you have an exceptionally large studio. I've put rock,metal,core,hip hop,pop and other thicker bass music through them and they perform flawlessly. I have one set up almost against a wall and the other just past a wall in kind of an open spot both on a desk with foam things under them. The adjustments on the back helped tune these in perfectly.

I did a little research on the Kali Audio LP-6 speakers and looked at a ton of reviews before I decided to purchase these speakers . I'm glad I did! Purchase the speakers that is . I bought these for my son for Christmas for his studio . One day I was upstairs in our kitchen and he was playing something downstairs . Now our jamroom is in the basement also so I thought he was playing something back through our sound system which consists of a Personus board 2 JBL ion powered 15's and a JBL powered 18 . I went downstairs to talk to him and to my surprise he was in the studio with the LP-6's they were clean and punchy. Unbelievable sound coming from these speakers . I highly recommend these .

Bought these speakers after doing some research. Was a hard choice between the rokit 4 and these. So glad I bought these speakers they’re amazing. Can’t beat the sound on these for the price. So far I've been really digging on these Kali LP6's. Ordered to have another pair of reference monitors thanks to getting more mixing/mastering work and was incredibly impressed with the clarity at both higher and especially lower volumes.
Only real con I've noticed so far is the little bit of white noise that's constant (from the transformer maybe?). Other than that these things would get an A+.

If you wonder if all the rave and reviews online is correct? Well they are. Even compared to speakers that are $400 each these still sound great. This was my first monitor pair and I must say, for the price and sound quality, these will last. There isnt one bad review on them from top sources or engineers who now use Kali in their studios. If you can afford the $800 pair of the 8”, go for it. But for $300, you cannot find another pair with the clarity and headroom of these monitors. All the other companies are now forced to update their entry level monitors.

These Kali LP6 monitors are by far the best studio speakers in their price range. I’ve been an audio engineer for nearly 3 decades. In that time I’ve mixed on everything from Tannoy to Yamaha to JBL and everything in between. When I decided to upgrade my home studio, I wanted a set of speakers that were both affordable and accurate. I was about to purchase a set of wave guided JBLs when I happened upon a video review of the Kali LP series speakers. after some additional research I made the decision to try a set for myself. I was blown away.
The LP6s that I bought have a timbre and clarity that cannot be found in any other speaker at this price point. With clear, rounded highs and well behaved but very present lows, these speakers are all I hoped they would be. The company that makes the Kali line of speakers was founded by a couple of former JBL engineers that wanted to make a speaker as good at the JBL but at a much more friendly price. And they succeeded.
Some of the features I love about his speaker is EQ settings and front ports. With these EQ settings you can get really close to where you need to be in just about any mixing room. From speakers up against a wall or in the middle of a room to certain specific distances, the LP series’ EQ dip switches can dial you in better than any other speaker I’ve seen. And the front ports of the speakers throw More bass at you than you would ever expect from a speaker this size.
If you can’t tell, I’m truly impressed with my new Kali LP6s. And I’ll never look at small format near field studio monitors the same way again.

I really couldn’t be more satisfied with the value of these speakers. The LP-6s for their price range dominate the competition in performance considering they stand up to speakers that are 3 sometimes 4 times the price. I’ve worked in recording studios and went to school for audio ( I’m used to hearing great studio monitors and a variety for that matter) and boy these can just about stand up to Genelecs in their stereo imaging (fight me on it). A great thing to know when considering this purchase is that they are designed in mind for the bedroom producer who may not have a treated or ideal room for mixing, although I believe you should still strive for the standard. these are great if your just starting out with less than ideal mixing situations. Great purchase!

Based on the reviews I found, I decided to take a chance on these for my home studio. I came from a pair of Focal Alpha 50’s. You’re thinking “What!!”...or maybe not. The Focal’s just didn’t sound right in my space. I do have limited treatment (Primacoustic panels and corner traps) in my space, but have found that the EQ adjustments on the Kali’s allowed me get things more balanced. Slightly bigger woofers have contributed to a bit more bass extension. The “sweet spot” is noticeable better on the Kali’s as well. To note, my space is about 10’ x 13’.
Very impressed what Kali Audio has done tech and sound wise for the price these sell for. As with any new monitors, there is always an adjustment to really learn them, but the Kali’s were impressive out of the box.

I agree with the other reviewer in an untreated room, about the translation of the Lone Pine Project Professional Studio Monitors. OMFG... Okay listen, I've only been mixing since Feb 2019, but my mixes have improved DRAMATICALLY as I have quality listening gear. And for po' folks such as myself, the price point is enough to establish brand loyalty!!

Exceeds expectations, makes my much older Alesis 7s sound pale in comparison. Worth the price. If you are on a small budget these are the speakers to get. Great bottom end.

The Kali Lp-6 Studio Monitors are everything you could hope for in a pair of studio monitors. They are big, look great, and sound spectacular. I've had mine for 4 days now, and I am in disbelief of how great they sound compared to how much they cost. I didn't think it was possible to get the level of clarity and response I am getting from such an inexpensive pair of monitors. Kali has really stepped the game up for economy studio setups.
My favorite features are the front-facing air holes that allow the monitors to be set up with their backs against a wall without sacrificing output, especially on the low-end. I also love the way you can tailor each monitor to sound perfect in almost any environment thanks to the tiny switchboard on the backs accompanied by pictures for easy user setup.
The monitors sound and look terrific. I'd take a pair of these over a pair of comparable Yamaha studio monitors any day of the week.

Okay..Still trying to let this sink in. When people review this monitor and say its the best for its price, I don't think so. Fact #1. No matter what price range they are good(great) and I'm talking compared to $2k a pair and up. Fact #2. They translate spot on and my room is not treated by any means. (No Bass Traps and not even a closed room) Fact #3. I was signed to Sony Music Japan years ago so I know what good mixes sound like and I mixed on Event Tuned Ref 5 and also NS-10's and Ausberger. Fact #4. Did I mention fact #1 ? Stop talking about the price. These are the best times I have ever seen to buy recording equipment. Quality Stuff I dreamed about in the 90's is now affordable. Capture the moment!!!

Amazingly clear, natural, and un-hyped monitor, with a large, spacious sweet spot. Sounds more precise than my JBL 305Ps, which have been moved on to duty in my entertainment room.
The room placement correction DIP switches work great for whatever studio setup you may have. These monitors did take a number of hours of playback before the woofer suspension relaxed a bit to let the bass really develop, as they are stiff and bass shy, fresh from the factory. Don't freak out when you first hear them 'new'. After about 20 hours of 'exercise' they will be beautifully matured, and continue to get even better from there. I'd suggest not mixing anything important with them for their first 40 hours... just play some music that you are familiar with for that time, and enjoy how they warm up.

I saw a review if this on the Spectra Media Group YouTube channel. The fellow doing the review said these were the best studio monitors under $500 and he was right. What this did for me was give me a clearer image of what was happening on the bottom end. I got a better idea of where the "Good Bass" and the "Bass Bass" was.

When I hooked them up for the first time, I was blown away by the detail and near flat response of these monitors. Only reason I give 4 stars is because I had to RMA one of them (which I'm still waiting on AMS!) for a slight static sound from one LF driver at low volume when performing 20Hz-200Hz tone sweep. Can't wait to get my replacement.

Uh ....this is simple .... good for the price...
biggest bang for the buck out there....
pretty flat and detailed....allows you get more accuracy from the sound field...they would compete just fine with stuff much more expensive. i met these folks at namm last year and they were sounded like a good nearfield monitor then, and then telling us they were gonna sell these at areal friendly price..they didn't lie and i am very glad i picked these up...Thanks Kali...great job...

Just to clarify, horrible customer service on the part of AMS, not Kali Audio. If I had known just how bad it would be I would've ordered elsewhere, and I would have been willing to pay more for shipping to avoid dealing with AMS and Fed Ex. As for the monitors go, they far exceeded my expectations. Yes, they do have a noticeable noise floor when no audio is being played, but the sound quality more than makes up for it. If your budget in under $350 per monitor, I would recommend trying these first. They far out-perform their price point.

I am a bass player who does some home studio recording. These Kali's fit the bill and the price point for me. I previously had a small pair of M-audio monitors and these really give my home studio a boost. The cabinets are pretty large, and they are able to reproduce the low end of my bass without being overwhelming. My friend has Mackie 5" monitors and the bass is really heavy on those making it difficult to get the proper mix on the low end stuff. I can definitely mix my bass better with these monitors. I also enjoy them just listening to music, nice crisp and tight sound.

For the money I bought them as a secondary pair of monitors. I was pleased by how much low end came through. These actually helped me fix a mix I was working on when I was just using my HS8s. The front bass port is a huge plus for us guys that have our speakers pretty much up why the wall.z Well done Kali audio! Fast service from American Musical as usual!

I've had these for just over a week. I've been listening to lots of reference material and old and new mixes of mine. The sound quality is well beyond other monitors I've owned and right up there with the pro studios that I've worked and recorded at over the years. The eq options work well and make easy set up for lots of situations. I'm not sure how they managed such a nice product for the price! The build quality is simple but solid and understated quality,no bright colored drivers or overly radiused corners just good craftsmanship and sound. Having not wanted them long I can't say anything for longevity but I dont foresee any problems. Also, AMS was great to work with and the speakers arrived very quickly.

I can't believe this value is possible. I've been using HS50 monitors for years and was reasonably satisfied with them, but when I heard the LP6s I was blown away. I love the ability to tune them to your room. I sold my Yamahas the next day. When I switched back and forth the Kalis made my old monitors sound like crap. I think these things are going to take over the home studio market.

I may be the first one to test these. They beat the Mackie MSR624, which I used to consider the best for under $500 per pair. Better stereo imaging, equally good bass but a lot cleaner due to the great front port that does not have any chuffing or artifacts at normal to loud levels, though I never pushed them to as loud as they can go. The treble is unique. I am sensitive to it, so on most monitors I like a 3-4 db cut. The Mackie MSR series is smoother in the treble and fuller in the mids than prior more expensive models, but even with the -2 db treble cut, they're brighter than I'd like. These set totally flat (no cut) were slightly smoother than even that. I've never heard monitors with perfect treble set flat to my ears. This can be a problem for those who might get the Mackies and leave them flat or boost the treble, since with the treble switch up 2 db on these it was close to how the Mackies were with it cut -2 db. So if you like treble forward monitors, they may not be for you.
