I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS STAND!!!

So, bought this for my husband when he got a new SM7B. His old stand wasn't beefy enough to hold it. First off, I was ecstatic to find out it was made in Germany and not that "other place". This thing is so well built. It is steady, stable and holds the SM7B like a champ even with the boom arm fully extended. The lock knobs on it are nice and big and really do lock everything in place so it stays where you want in. No sag or slippage with this tank of a mic stand. Its all metal construction with a nice wide, rubber footed, tripod stance and comes with a couple cable guides to keep things looking neat and professional. I recommend this thing for studio or gig work. It's much better than I thought it would be. We will be purchasing more.

Love this stand. No sag, no sway, holds my SM7B like a champ and stays where I set it. Built in cable guides, super responsive clamp dials. Sets up and breaks down in seconds. German engineering and manufacturing beats any of the China made garbage IMHO. This thing is no joke, professional quality and heavy duty materials all around. Worth every penny, maybe even more, for real! Very happy, satisfied customer right here! Can’t ask for better than that.

Excellent stand! Definitely will be lasting be a very long time. Use it to hold my Shure SM7B with no problem whatsoever. K&M do it the best with stands. AMS does it even better with an amazing shipping time and pricing options. Thank you so much AMS!

When I unpacked this item I knew immediately that it would last longer than my OnStage stand. This mic stand is so well made, much heavier than its competitors and sooooo well made. It’s perfect for me as a singer/songwriter!!!!

this stand is great quality, and feels sturdy, and strong, but sadly the boom could be longer. Nonetheless for the majority of purposes this is perfect but as a piano player, its just not long enough.

Built like a tank, built to last, and made from really premium materials. I have other mic stands, but K&M's are the only ones that stand up to the abuse of live music. Nothing else even comes close!

What a great piece!
Over the years we have shopped repeatedly with AMS and tried several different brands of mic stands and boom stands
K&M blew them all away by miles!
Although heavy, it’s foldability makes it easy to transport and the fittings are all very durable and trustworthy when suspending an investment like a nice mic!!
We will be buying more

All I can say is German engineering and manufacturing is excellent. I’m sure many of you are sick of cheap mic stands with easily stripped threads, weak clutches, light weight etc. If you want one that will work and stay where you set it, try a K &M!!

The boom is not quite as long as I thought it would be, but it’s an incredibly rugged stand. Cheaper stands always feel like the joints are stripped before I even use them. This feels like a great mid level stand.

I've had the ones that weren't telescoping for years and they are very rugged and awesome. But I just bought a new SLX Wireless and wanted something a little fancier so I bought the K&M the telescoping boom. I am blown away it is so awesome and I like the cam on the side for tightening it up the Boom it never slips. If you don't have one yet get one

ONE OF THE VERY BEST STANDS OUT THERE !!!

Out of all the stands I've owned through the years, this has to be one of the very best...if not the best one. I plan to get more...
I like the way the boom extension is a two-section where you can have an arm that doesn't get in the way. The other thing is the tubing and construction is heavy-weight. Also, if you get it, make sure you reverse the boom locking handle to the other side as it could interfere with the boom adjustments. (No big deal, just push the bolt through to the other side, attach the washer on the other side and spin the locking lever back on...so simple anyone could do it...)
This is incredibly well built! I've bought all kinds of microphone stands, from a variety of brands and I have to say I'm truly impressed. Most of the ones (even with some of the best names) are wimpy...especially when you're dealing with boom stands. (Just about any stand will hold a microphone, but when you need to boom a microphone you want something that is stable, reliable and won't fail). When you unpack it you'll note it's well made, heavy weight and well designed. It will cost you about twice what lower-grade stands sell for, but you are investing in something that won't fail, you won't trash it later, your good microphones won't hit the ground and it will take the abuse of the road. This one will. It's well made, durable and does what you want it to do.
If you tap your keys on the tubing you may have difficulty with coming up with a sound that can be readily amplified (LOL)... (It's a stand, what can I say?)
