This keyboard has phenomenal patches,realistic rhythms and bass sounds. I have a PHD in composition from ROOSEVELT UNIVERSITY.I am composing so much with this keyboard for films,jingles and my bands music . THank you so much AMS_and Korg This has turned my home studio into a real working STUDIO with every conceivable instrument at my disposal . Very happy !!!!

This keyboard was purchased at 0% interest for 12 monthly payments and I didn't even need a credit card. I don't like however that they did a hard inquiry on my credit. I purchased a Yamaha damper pedal that was not compatible with the keyboard and AmericanMusical gave me no problem sending a return shipping label at their expense and crediting my original payment method back so I could buy a korg pedal. I previously had a Yamaha product and this Korg crushes it. This thing is "FIRE!" Thank you AmericanMusical.

The Korg Krome has pretty good sounds but the power up button and bootup time is bad. I bought a Krome in 2013. I was shocked when I had to have it fixed in 2017. Otherwise a good keyboard.

It is of great quality. This level of performance at this price point is unheard of.
While appealing most to someone who wants to do traditional piano/electric piano due to its voicing, it definitely has the right wave rom for handling just about any type you can think of.
Extremely easy to use. The user interface is very straight forward. The buttons do offer a redundant feature set when using the touch screen, but i suppose if touch went out i wouldnt be stuck with down time. I prefer this workflow to most PC DAW's.
I bought this product due to the fact that it had a nice wave rom. I bought it as a rompler, and i got just that. a rompler.
As an unpublished feature the KROME also offers the ability to load 3rd party samples from sd card. This is not officially supported except through the "official" after market sound packs for m1/triton classics. Hopefully korg will add support for user samples, otherwise there are 3rd party developers actively working on applications to create the meta.img file where samples are stored.
The sound especially the Acoustic Pianos and Electric Pianos and drums are of exquisite quality. Unmatched by any other workstation in this price range by far.
Being the 88 key version, it comes with an excellent weighted graded key bed. I feel that it does very well, coming from a Roland RD-150 (read: digital stage piano) I think that says a lot. Some might find the feel a little "plastic" but it definitely weighs up to the big boys. Disregard the videos on youtube about "key noise" this is purely the sound of the guys finger nail clacking on the top of the key combined with excessive downward force.
if you want big workstation sound/feel at half the cost, this is the right piece of equipment for you.
For the 1600 i paid, i feel like i got 2500 worth.

Even though most of the case is plastic I feel it is very well built. The keys feel good, and can take a lot of pounding.
The 7" touchscreen really helps make all the options and variables easier to change. I feel the keybed is well built and has a good feel for a 32.5lb workstation.
In my opinion, The 7" touchscreen makes editing, and working with the Krome much easier than a lot of buttons. Its also to move around sounds very easy and everything is very easy to read.
The sound quality is top knotch for a workstation at this price point. They take some samples from the Kronos, some from the M3 and M50, and it makes for a best in breed workstation for entry-level and weekend warriors. I feel this keyboard is also great for gigging musicians due to the vast amount of usable sounds.

I just wanted to say that I ordered this from AMS at 4:45pm on a Friday, and without paying a dime on shipping it arrived at 3pm on Saturday! Now, its a few weeks before Christmas so UPS/FEDEx are treating Saturdays right now as another business day, but wow what service!!
I feel the keys are perfect for the price I paid for this. They feel more like a grand piano keybed than my upright REAL namebrand piano!!
Between the keybed, the 7" touchscreen, the samples and sound, and features, I thought this board gave better value than even the other boards at this price.

Since it is 35 lbs it is easy to put into a road case. It is balanced and does not feel bulky. The plastic all fits together well & there is no giggle.
Each of your favorite sound voices comes dry & you can put whatever efx that you want on the memory. Then put your favorites in the user banks !!!! Ya hoo!
Since I produced music on the Triton Pro X (38 CDs), the adaptability came easy. I find this sequencer easy too. Very self explanatory when you learn the locations.
The higher frequencies of the details of each instrument and voice is much better than you would expect. Details on playability is great. Pitch bender on solo instruments is not so drastic that it burps.

Action was just right & I even played the drum tracks without quantitazation. I can also do a piano 'turn' with my 4th & 5th fingers on a solo .
I likes the Kronos. But is was too big & too heavy. This Krome is the alternative. Of my 9 keyboards, it looks like this is going to be my favorite.
