Better than a clip-on for acoustic guitar. Gives a much more precise depiction of relative pitch.

First, ordered on a Monday, arrived the next day! As usual, outstanding customer service from AMS!
I bought this with the intention of tuning my grand piano. My guitar tuners worked OK for the middle octave, but I wanted to get a tuner that can respond to all the octaves. This tuner works very well. It has a built in stand which is fantastic for setting on the piano and still being able to see it. It is accurate, and the meter is a needle that has 4 settings, slow, medium, fast and manual. It is also backlit. It works for almost all the notes, but it doesn't quite read the very bottom or high ends, but that's OK, since at that point in the tuning of a piano, I can finish it by ear. Perhaps with the optional external mic it may be able to read those notes.
I am very impressed with the quality in such a small, yet accurate tuner. It appears very well made, and has more weight to it than I thought it would.
All in all, a very nice tuner and the case it comes with will protect it in my piano tuning kit very well.

This can tune anything. It has a 1/4 inch in and out jacks. It has rate of slow, medium, and fast tuning rates in auto. It is just a great tuner with a battery or dc in..... I love it. It's got sound and a kitchen sink.

I owned a Seiko tuner quite a while ago and have always lamented its disappearance.
It seemed like all you could buy for a lomg time wre the clip on, some of better quality than others. I was surprised when I saw a few companies making "real" tuners again. I jumped at the chace to buy this one, with its fold back stand and features. Intonates a 5 string bass like a dream. Happy.

i play bass and some tuners wont pick up the bass well, especially the "E"string. the korg ot120 does. i like the ability to hear the note which allows me to get close when installing new strings then switch to meter to get dead on.

I am not going to open up the case, which is plastic. The controls work adequately and the meter response is adjustable. I have owned this for a couple of weeks and it still works, ask agin in a couple of years.
I have owned this for a couple of weeks and it shows no early signs of failure. ask again later.
Your general opinion of this product.
Completely adequate for my use, and it comes in a nice travel casse.
Some controls feel insubstantial; we will see how this holds up.
This detects tone, and it seems to do so regardless of the source. It has a tone generator that I have not used.
Plastic case looks nice but feels insubstantial.
Works fine.
