Product Rating Product Review I love my Korg Sv1 stage piano. The pianos are crisp, lush and the sound of all the pianos are incredible. The Rhodes sounds lush and funky when you need it. Not to mention the authentic sounds of the Clav’s and Organ. I promise with this keyboard purchase you’ll be an instant fan.

Product Review Finally a keyboard made for the vintage style player! I have been waiting for this thing for 20 years. From the classic Michael McDonald, Steely Dan Fender Rhodes sound, to the funky clavinet, to the super super cool since strings, this thing really has it all. How's that vintage look, and is without a doubt probably one of the coolest keyboards out there. Totally recommend this, I perform with this thing multiple times a month, and totally get lost with it during the week! Worth every penny. However, I'm a little disappointed with the Reverb. That's about it!

Product Review I love this keyboard. It turns heads from the time I unzip the case to the moment I hammer out my first notes. This is the king of hardware vintage keyboard emulators. I immediately replaced the organs with my own Rhodes creations (no need for them) and the editor makes creating gun and easy. I have owned this synth for years and it remains as fresh and compelling today as when I D first unboxed her. I thought of upgrading to the new GrandStage, but the SV-1 wins in sheer class alone. My only gripe is the inability to import new samples to stay up to date like with Nord, but the emulations are so lush and vibrant. If you need a great vintage EP simulator with a practical and easily navigable layout, look no further!

Product Review Love this thing! Had one a few years back, but unfortunately had to let it go. It was the limited edition color with the reverse keys, but this model has the same engine inside just a different shell! The keys always sound great! Balanced, but cut through the mix well. LOVE the Rhodes and organ tones packed into this thing as well. User friendly and easily tweakable. Buy this without regret!

Product Review I love the sounds in this keyboard. But the feel of the keyboard is the biggest selling point. The sound options, eq and effects are impressive. The ability to save favorites is a huge bonus. This keyboard gives me all my favorite classic keyboard sounds with the option of building my own sound with no learning curve.

Product Review Excellent sounding electric pianos, clavs and strings.Acoustic pianos sound good as well.the organ tones are average sounding and could use some tweaking.Over all build of the product seems very solid. So far so good on the keybed as I have heard many horror stories on it,but that was when this keyboard 1st came out.Keybed seems reliable so far.If you want the famous Wurlitzer and Fender Rhodes sound, then look no further this thing is a beast and replicates those 70s sound to the fullest!

Product Review Being a child of the 70s I love the idea of the Korg SV-1. It has a great selection of sounds from the era connected to a group of easy to operate effects including a small tube amp. Not only do you have a number of acoustic and electric pianos you also have a selection of organ, string, clavs, and horns to make this a great addition to anybody's collection. It even comes with a Damper Pedal so you don't have to buy one separately. The only downsides to this beauty are it's weight and keyboard. The SV-1 is heaver then my Hammond SK-2 but not as easy to move around. It also need a good stable stand such and the Korg ST-SV1 to set on. The keyboard has taken some getting use to thanks to it's heavier feel. I would also like to see more programmable presets. The eight that it comes with got used up real quick. Even with these downsides I still fill this is one great instrument. I even like that fact that it looks like it was lifted off the set of Star Trek TNG.

Product Review I own a Yamaha S90ES which has great sounds, superb action and build quality. That said, the interface is non intuitive and complex. The Korg SV1 has a simple analogue interface that is perfect for stage use. The Korg's voices are very good, the weighted action is excellent and allows you to play very expressively. I also appreciate the built in power supply. The only negative is the weight. The SV1 is heavy.

Product Review The sounds are amazing and you can use the editor to tweak to the finest details...I absolutely love my board. Feels like a baby Rhodes, (heavy like one too....I used to have a Mark II ) There are boards online to exchange sound favorites....see sound of stars (Germany website for sv-1 favs) I'd buy this over again if I had to... I have no problems with it so far. I think the quality is exceptional... I've only read about damaged reviewers ...but mine works perfect, and I tweak it a ton! It's cool for a beginner, but its the type of board that you can grow in to. You have to really make it your own. The better you learn to play...the better it delivers....Even if u a novice, the tone sounds so rich that folks will think u are better than u are. Favorite features are the editor, and handy inputs....perfect for live gigs. The sound is the reason I bought it, and the fact that I could tweak it and make it respond even better....YOU MUST explore your board...factory presets are just the beginning! Love the feel... Controls simple enough... I wouldn't want any other board .... I also have a fantom, have had MOX and Korg other boards ...happy with my setup now... maybe a baby B3 one day

Probably a great keyboard if we could find one that works

We purchased this keyboard and it was defective right out of the box. Three of the keys were frozen. So we returned it and AMS shipped another one. This time, only one key was frozen but it was defective nonetheless so we had to return the second one as well. It seems to me that making sure the keys work would be the simplest quality assurance task that could be performed on a keyboard yet we got two in a row that had this defect. We still want the keyboard but we are forced to buy it from a local retail store so that we can take it out of the box to make sure all the keys work. We spent 2 months receiving and shipping back defective keyboards and have no more time to waste. N/A since we never got to use the two we received. Seems like it would be easy to use but don't know yet since we had to return both of ours N/A Your general opinion of this product. Love the idea of this keyboard and the one we saw in a retail store seemed awesome. Hopefully we will find one that is not defective soon. Keys were frozen and would not work on both keyboards we received. Seems like a good keyboard if Korg could get their quality under control.

I have giged with this for a year now. Sounds and plays great add ver 2 patches

I have had no problems with this unit. I have updated the BIOS and added ver2 patches from the Korg site. Only complaint is the rounded corners make it hard to handle, wants to slip from your hands Like the vintage sounds and easy of customizing them. Like the easy location of controls. So So on the weighted keyboard. Would like to see some add vintage patches like Sax and Harmonica Operation is straight forward. Pick the sound and add some additional effects if you feel like it. Easy write to memory. The loading of the Ver2 patches required a bit more thought and contains 8 patches which replace the presets. This means you lose the option to save your twek sound. So you may not want to load the 8 preset patches with ver2 sounds I was a bit dispointed in the piano sounds but much better with the Ver2 sounds from Korg. Love the organ with the Lesley speaker effect. This keyboard action is a great feel if you are use to playing a string piano. required a heavy touch. May not be for all if use to lighter keyboard feel I bought this because of the weighted keys and the vintage sounds. Great for classic rock songs. Not sure now if the action was worth the extra weight and $. May have oped for a lighter action with some addition sounds. But love the vintage that are with in this board.

Vintage Tunes!

Only had it a few weeks now but it is high quality. Driver updates regularly, very intuitive interface. I like the ability to re-write your own custom settings over the pre existent sound banks, but i wish there was a more extensive 15 or 31 band eq on the program rather than a bass treble mid. Its difficult to switch your external eq for different sound banks during live shows. The knobs on the front are okay for quick dialing in, but the interface via CPU is where this baby gets its value. You can only tweak so much on the panel, by integers of 10, which can make getting the perfect sound difficult. But when you get into the program and tweak it is way more customizable and you can really fine tune your sound to get it just spot on. Great tone. I mostly use the Rhodes and the piano pads strings, but they all sound awesome. The rhodes can come across a little to bellish at times, which is why i wish the eq was a bit more extensive to really cut down certain harsh frequencies, but i can do that externally so it really sounds great. The piano is decent in stereo and the ability to throw it into an amp sim really gives it some Death Cab flavor. Like a Rambo/Jet Li combo movie, Kick ass! Although i do find that with the velocity it is a little to easy to get into the barky rhodes tone with moderate velocity. I really have to concentrate how hard i play so i don't always push the bark. This is a great rhodes for funk & soul, but maybe not for ambient rock, which i play, although i am nitpicking a bit. When you can find this thing cheaper, at a sight like AMS that will offer you a 15% discount during 4th of july, YES! although at full price it may not be so awesome.
