Product Rating Product Review The Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler Pedal and Loop Sampler is sensational. I can not believe how this completes my first Bass Rig. I definitely have a deep sense and understanding of music, but with being a "Beginner" with bass it has made my experience absolutely fantastic. I love American Musical Supply and its incredible line of products. I have never been disappointed. Next adventure is the Drum Kit. I am going to need more arms. Thank you again

Product Review I had one years ago, but broke it after years of use. I had decided to retire it until I saw this site. Now I have my favorite pedal back on stage with me and all is right on the world. For delays there’s nothing better, and for looping it is as simple as they come. I recommend every musician add this to their pedalboard. You will not regret it.

Product Review This pedal is currently on my board and i would love it but for 2 factors: 1) real estate; This pedal is huge and takes up a lot of room on the board , and 2) I can hear it engage; if you step on it while playing the signal disappears for a split second. Any pedal that is noticeable while being engaged doesn't stay on my board long. Currently shopping for a new delay. The delay options are very nice and I like a couple of effects not found in other pedals e.g. the swell effect is nice and mimics a volume pedal swell that can be set to a specific tempo. Also nice to have tap tempo and 3 programmable delays. If not for the glitch when engaging id probably overlook the size and keep it.

Product Review Love my DL4 & the expression pedal is a must. You can set to handle multiple parameters. I like to have it go from subtle to run away and it covers the range in between.

Best Digital Delay on the Market

Your general opinion of this product. Hands down the best Digital Delay out on the market with the exception of a Strymon Timeline. Great quality and build. The only problem I have ever heard of happening with these pedals is the switches can break part of the pedal if pressed too hard. There are mods out there that can fix that kind of issue. It's big on my pedalboard and takes up the most real estate, but for the tones and sounds, it's definitely worth it! There's 16 different models that you can use. While there's only 3 spots to save from, you can always quickly manipulate the sound to something else. N/A This is probably one of the few Green Colored products I actually enjoy. I don't hate the color green, just don't prefer it in my musical equipment. I've had it for a year and so far its running great! Definitely get a power supply and you will be good to go for a long time!

Your general opinion of this product. Great product, a really flexible delay. The range of delays and tones is pretty remarkable. There are a couple of issues with the unit however; most already know about the volume drop when clicked into use. Another lesser known issue is the failure of the bypass function if the unit gets too hot! Keep in/under shade when playing outdoors during the summer. If this unit is exposed to sunlight and high temps, you will not get a guitar signal when the unit is bypassed. If these 2 issues could be fixed, this unit would be simply spectacular! Aside from the overheating issues that accompany outdoor use during the summer, I have had ZERO operational issues. It is super versatile and lends itself to a ton of uses for someone that plays in a cover band with a wide range of songs. My band covers just about anything, and I have 3 very different delays set up. I'm never wanting more from the unit! The tone is again, very versatile. The only issue with the tone is the volume drop when the pedal is engaged. For a while Robert Keeley was modding these for $$$ to fix the issue. Unfortunately I can't find anyone else who wants to mess with the unit. N/A The finish was very pro. No issues here. I've used it for roughly 50 shows a year, since 2006-ish. That's pretty reliable in my book. If I encounter the overheating issue, I simply setup one of my presets to be just the guitar signal; and instead of bypassing the unit to turn off the delay, I'll switch to the preset that is completely dry.

very well built pedal, its a beautiful green brick of sick delay tones! i did have to replace the footswitches, but that was a small expense and well worth it. Your general opinion of this product. this pedal is a great freakin idea and saves space on the pedal board compared to having 3 delays.

Your general opinion of this product. Line 6 delivers incredible value on a Pedal that models beloved and near impossible to get delays including a 14 second looper. To be specific, until recently I used a Boomarang which downsamples signal to mono and plays back samples under 30.0k comparared to 44.1 stere and has a devil of a time matching recorded quality and sound to input values. The pedal is nice and has about 60 seconds of sample time as designed, if it were based on the DL4's sample rate the recording would be about 20 seconds, not so different from the DL4 which dosen't downsample. In fact the looper is one of the reasons I went for the DL4 and am getting another for a 2nd setup. Bedside the looper (which really is just a part of the DL4's capability) you get tube based, tape delays, analog and of course digital delays. Each emulation offers great hints of what a gibson, tape echoplex, electro harmonix, deluxe memory man, roland space echo and many more echo devices could do, reverse echo is possible and although

Your general opinion of this product. This echo-modeler gives you every echo possibility you can think of. The looping capabilities could be a bit more extensive, but no complaints.

Love It! (See Sound Section for My A/B Mistake)

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
I've read horror stories about these just up and going dead. I've had one for at least 5 years and never an issue. I am considering getting a 2nd as a backup though.

FEATURES:
Fully tweakable. Expression pedal gives many varities for the 3 available presets. It is TRUE-BYPASS if setup for no trails when bypassed.

EASE OF USE:
It takes some time to get the hang of it.

VALUE:
I think it is way over priced. Considering a PDxt Live for $399 and a single delay pedal $250. But then I think ALL music gear is way over priced!

SOUND:
Here's my story on the sound. I battled back and for between the EH Deluxe Memory Man and this unit. I had both at one time and had them setup for A/B testing. So I am bouncing back and forth with the Analog Modulated Delay on the DL4 and the DMM. I decided the DMM had the best sound when I realized I had the 2 confused in my A/B test and it was actually the DL4 I liked

Want to sound like The Edge? You need this...

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
This thing is solid baby. I have a feeling the thing will be in my pedal arsenal for years and years. Very sturdy steel construction.

FEATURES:
What can I say? You're getting something like 16 delay pedals in one little handy unit plus a loop recorder which is great for testing song ideas and wasting your life away. I never thought I could really sound like The Edge, but with a click of a button and a couple of knob twists, I was right there.

EASE OF USE:
I gave this a 4 on ease of use because there is a slight learning curve to it. However, learning what does what helps maximize this baby's potential and helps you sound better and better.

VALUE:
Considering that you could track down 16 delay pedals and pay $1000 or more, I'd say the $250 is well worth it.

SOUND:
Great sound, hands down. It has yet to dissapoint.
