The unit is OLD. No speaker cab emulations. Navigation is clunky at best. The sounds are thin and hollow. I returned this unit. It's end of life and was never improved on. I couldn't download the editing software from Line 6 either.

Still no Line6 driver solution for this hardware although they seem to be supporting Helix line on M1.
Having said that, the price ois good, the models are fine, cabs are meh, decent connex options.

I purchased this to record my guitars direct as well as using an amp and decided to try it on my bass and it worked great!!! So this unit is very well rounded, you can dial in any tone you're looking for this has my expectations and more. I have had this unit for a few month now, perfect for recording both instruments

I absolutely love this product. The plug and playability are unmatched. There is so much potential with all the great tone and effects options. For someone just starting out with recording music, I’ve found this product to be very user friendly. I would recommend this product to anyone in the studio, playing live, or just replacing an old interface.

i have been using A Line six Pod going on 15 years. I have had many frustrating moments as a musician and many involved finding the right sound be it clean a little dirty or straight gut wrenching distortion. through the years it has been a blend of pedals f/x boxes and amps and cabs, running it every way you could just to get that perfect set up. all we ever wanted was to make the sounds that we liked which is hard when your limited by technology of your time. Line 6 has changed our lives as musicians by taking something as pure as music and simplifying the means to achieve the end result we have all wanted since we started this journey of what we call music. the modeling and capabilities that Line 6 have come up with, not only revolutionizes but opens a new door into an age that i am looking forward to. the sounds and combinations of sounds you are able to get from their hard work is worth every dime i have spent on them. if you play music, to play music eventually you are music and that what Line Has discovered and utilized from the first version of the Pod till this day.

There is a reason the Line 6 is so much cheaper than the more popular amp sims. You can get some decent tones out of it, but to really get the most out of it, you should consider bypassing the built in cab sim, and using a separate cab sim instead. Overall, it's not horrible. But don't expect to be blown away.

Overall much more refined tone.Line 6 got rid of the high end "fizz". Much less surgical EQ required. Tones do seem to be HD. 4 stars because many of the issues you hear about this unit are true. The 5150 was a bit disappointing out of the gate. But off you follow YouTube'ers Fluff and Ola showed us you can dual in great tones. Lots of FX. Could never go back to the XT. Cannot afford the Helix so this was the best affordable uphrade.

I needed a Base pre and it seems no one makes a good rack mount version any more. I didn't want to spend a grand for the newest one so I opted for this one. There are a bunch of base patches you can down load for free. Of course there are some dumb ones but for the most part the sound are pretty good. I liked comparing the Peggy sound to the real thing it's close. I have this in the effect loop of a SVT. When I"m in the studio I can get the whole stereo thing going. Lot of user space, you can select the order of the patches. This let's you scroll through sets on stage. If you don't want to spend the big bucks, this is a good way to go.

This is a great option whether you’re looking for something to record with or a live rig! I am using this as a guitar rig, running through an EVH 5150 2x12 cab and I couldn’t be happier with the tone. Just as good as having a tube amp, but with multiple amps/pedals/effects to choose from!

It's a fantastic processor. I've played axe fx and didn't quite like them as much as this. Because I didn't see any posts about this in forums I'll say it now. Yes Axe Fx is going to have more variety built in to it. With that said, you can easily get the same tone from the pod, however, you really should buy the expansion packs off line 6 website for 5150, vox ac30, etc. it's worth the money. Also check out their forums because you can download patches right off their site. It's a beautiful addition to any live and recording use! I highly recommend it. Some bands that still use their cleans are, tesseract, animals as leaders, periphery, etc. Also! Line 6 has incredible customer service unlike fractal. Fractal refused to replace my bassists axe fx when it was under warranty for a mess up in serial numbers on the system. They didn't troubleshoot or anything. So take that in

This product is baller. It owns in every way. When it comes amp modeling, look no further!! this POD is amazing and you will only get the true tone if you know what you are doing. There's plenty of hands on videos on the net if you need further assistance and of course line 6 is always there if you need help. If any one out there has any questions let me know. This thing is also build like a tank. I've also own the bean POD prior to this one. I upgraded to this baller POD because the previous had a limited amount of dsp and other reasons why I also bought this....
1) MORE I/O (even with a dry signal out)
2) MORE DSP (unlimited configurations)
3) It's baller!

This is a great piece of equipment!! A must for anyone doing home recording and for anyone who gigs on a constant basis. The HD X is versatile enough to not keep you pinched to one genre of music! A must have! Get one today!
Casing made if very durable material, dial might be delicate since their made of plastic, but other than that it feels road worthy!
Very easy to navigate, you'll be up and going within minutes! TRUST ME!
All types of tones, since you can choose different heads and cabinets and mix & match. Endless tones and sounds!
Ready to go out the box!
You can never go wrong with black
I've only had it for two weeks but it looks like a price that will be around for a while!
