I ordered this drumset as a gift for my 5 year old sisters birthday. And I quote" this is the best birthday ever". This product is a great buy and well worth the cost. Only issue I had is it didn't come with instructions on how to assemble drum heads. However I found it wasn't that difficult to attach and tune drum heads. All in all gifting perfection for young drumers.

Overall the quality of the set is classic Ludwig. Shells are well constructed and sound is robust for the size. However, the set is very small and made for kids about 10 and younger. The seat is tiny and the base and toms are equally small. Pay attention to the dimensions listed. So for kids older than 9/10, I wouldn't recommend this set as they will outgrow it immediately.

Very well made, and so far, has been able to stand up to the abuse of my 3-year-old son. The cymbals leave a bit to be desired, but if your little one is serious about percussion, you could always upgrade those. It feels very sturdy, and sounds awesome, particularly the snare.

Very well made. Both my sons (3 & 5 yrs old) hammer on this set daily. No broken hardware yet.
This set has everything needed for a beginner. I do think adding a 2nd cymbal stand and cymbal would have made this set even better.
Sounds great once tuned correctly. The cymbal doesn't sound too good, but it serves it's purpose.

Overall, you can't go wrong buying this set for a young boy/girl. Ludwig is a big name in drumming. Don't buy cheap brands...they wouldn't last.

I think it is made pretty good. Way better than other sets out there we looked at. The top hat cymbols have become dented but I think he is hitting them way too hard. This is his first drum set at 5 years old.

For the size and price, very well made
For a childrens set, the sound is fine. Definately want to replace the cymbals if your kid is really into it. The heads aren't too bad, but probably best to replace those too later on.
You can't beat the value. Good construction on most all parts. You won't get a better childs drumset for anywhere near the money.

This set is made in china? If they took the made in china part off the decals you might nt know it. No wonder they're affordable
The drums sound as good as my full size set. I had heard about the issue with the cymbals so I found a used pair of 10" zildjian hi-hats, 10 Paste splash as replacements and added a 16" crash for use as a ride. It's a sweet set up. I envy my 4 year old daughter.
When Ashley outgrows this set it'll go to her mom's 2nd grade classroom. What a great thing for kids to be exposed to. Maybe we all could help out our public schools by donating our our grown instruments to them. Stretching the payments out over three months made it a lot easier on the wallet. This stuff,as with everything else, is made in china.

Better than many full size kits I've seen.
For an entry-level kit geared toward toddlers to maybe 7 year olds, it's a great sounding kit to learn on.
An EXCELLENT value for the price offered. Don't waste your money on anything lesser if your child seriously wants to learn to play.

Yes, but the bass drum pedal needs improvement. It broke on the first night, but easily fixed.
Complete set, enough to learn. Real drums. Another cymbal would be great.

This kit is a scaled down accent kit. Real wood shells. Sturdy hardware. The cymbals are not the greatest, but for a 19 month old they work just fine.

If you know how to tune a drum, you can make these tubs sound great. The cymbals are thin and tin-like.

Good Quality, Chrome everywhere and easy to assemble. Would be nice to have a couple of sheets a assembly notes but I had it up and going in about an hour anyway.
Its got everything to get a young drummer started.
These were for my daughter so I got the wine colored drum set.
The cymbles could be about 50% larger. I would have paid extra for that. The drums sound great.

In my opinion these drums are a good value and I don't think you can get a better set at a higher price, for a child that is...
If your child is 8 or 10 years old, I would go to the next size up.
The drums look great. I sometimes stand there and just admire the quality. WOW! I wish I had these when I was a kid.

I bought these last year for my then four-year-old. He loved them. For the price you can't complain. Now I am looking to upgrade his cymbals and pedal. The pedal needs to be replaced, broke too easily.

The best feature of this set is the size.The sound is awesome.The craftsmanship & quality is tremendous.I would request more cymbal options,stands,expansion kits,accessories etc..

QUALITY:
Excellent Product! Very high quality and feels like it should cost alot more.
FEATURES:
The hardware is nice and solid. The hi-hat, heads, cymbals, and bass pedal could use an upgrade, but these are things that every drummer would want to upgrade as he/she progresses and develops their own style.
EASE OF USE:
You hit them and they make noise, doesn't get much simpler. Mine didn't come with instructions, but you don't need them anyway.
VALUE:
I feel like I got a solid deal and I expect them to last for a long time. When my son outgrows them I should be able to resell them at a good price. You get a solid, great sounding set from Ludwig not a no name brand. Don't waste your money. We did alot of shopping around and nothing else came close to the quality and sound.
SOUND:
Wow! These are loud! The projection is clear and punchy. It is really amazing how much sound these sets put out. I wouldn't b
