Honestly, once I started using the Bluetooth to send a signal from an IPad I have not needed the other inputs. I use this beast live for small venues, 100 people. I use it as a studio monitor for recording. I use it at work as a radio. It sounds great, has good volume and the built in effects are pretty sweet for live applications. I make Electronic Noise music so I push the frequency range on this speaker and it handles it all. Turn it up and go. This unit does not ship with the battery, $69 option but it's worth it.

Not so good! I really wanted this unit to work great but it just can't do it. I own a lot of Mackie Products and like the mall but this one needs more work. First stop the sound output with music is just OK. If you're going to use guitar/microphone in a performance then yes it should do a good job. But For playback/DJ/karaoke for playback/DJ/karaoke you will not be happy with the sound is lacking hi fidelity. Keep looking, sorry guys ( return unit)

Looks like a little boom box but sounds like a quality pro PA speaker with great bass.....Bluetooth control and streaming works great
I bought 2 and use one as a slave ...this a breeze as the unit has a post volume summed balanced out. Nice selection of effects too & rechargeable battery will be available soon

It is well made, solid construction, lots of power for it's small size and light weight. Projects clear sound with plenty of low end, overall tone quality is great. I use it for classical guitar gigs at a regular resort gig I do as well as for weddings and other outdoor events where there's no access to power source. This thing makes my haul in so much easier than what I was using before. I highly recommend the FreePlay for small, portable but powerful personal PA needs.

From PA systems to monitors, to small venues such as weddings on the beaches/ mountains here in Hawai'i, with 300 watts of power (lithium ), we finally have sufficient volume with clarity, along with Android controls to keep our music. and the clients very happy! (Including the wedding planners!)
